Once the criminals had been killed. The soldiers brought out a new wave of criminals. These were the husbands of the demons from the previous quest.
"These n violated the code of birthing demons! Now, we the people, have to suffer because of these fools. By the ruling of the law, these n will be put to death. Now people of the city, which way will these filth die!"
"Beheading"
"Stretched Naked"
"Skrew them"
"Have them violate each other with Spears"
"Spilt into two"
"They will not die." Rex shouted.
This caused the entire town to stop and stare at Rex. This was not sothing that people heard.
"Sir, this is a citizen of this city decision. We know you are not. So either shut up or you will be put to death." A man walked up in a very lavish blue suit.
"The demon's that these guys actually did it with, are wanting them back for their children. I do not care if they are scum. They will return." Rex's voice bood at the end.
This caused the citizens to fear Rex.
"Sir, what deed did you do for the city?" The man asked.
"I bet he cannot answer!" The man smiled evilly.
"The previous criminals that you killed. I brought them in." Rex reported.
The entire city was shocked.
"Is that so? Well, I guess for the good of the town. If you handed us the money back. We will allow the scum of the Realms to go with you." The man replied with Greed in his eyes.
"The guards got told to split the Qi Stones between the families that the criminals victimized. You can go get one, if you so desire." Rex said.
Several of the townsfolk went to go get the guards. They were trying to bribe them to tell lies. Because of this the guards lost faith in the citizens.
There was one that his family owned several businesses and wanted their child to own. The child had no reason to own any of them and would rather sell the businesses than own any of them.
"Listen, we are going to put you into the business world. Just answer that the man took the money and we will advance the process for you." The father said.
"Make sure you do this." The mother replied.
When the guard saw it was Rex. The guard knew that it had already beco too late.
The guard that was not supposed to be there got beside the suited man. The man began to whisper sothing.
"Tell us, what did this man do for the town?" The suited man asked.
"He brought the previous criminals in and allowed us to kill them." The guard replied.
"So tell us, what did the man do with that money?" The suited man made the town hyped up.
"He gave the money back to the victim's families." The guard said.
The difference between the guards and this suited man was who was working for whom.
The guards are by extension a part of the City Lord. If they lie, the city lord will also be lying.
The suited man was with the Fourth Realm Judgnt Council. He could overrule any and all judgnt placed out.
"Sir, we know that this is a lie. Tell us the truth or you will be punished." The suited man tried to persuade.
The guard got down on his hands and knees ready for death. This made the suited man mad. The family of the guard upset. His fellow guards angry.
Before a blade could even touch the guard's hair. The suited man was sent out of the city by Rex.
"Do you wish for a better life?" Rex asked.
The guard took Rex's hand.
"For all guards who want to co, co. Make sure that the City Lord is okay." Rex said.
Several of the guards went to go see if they could. The City Lord even ca out to allow the city to beco defenseless. When the city lord locked eyes with Rex. A familia feeling ca from the City Lord.
"Sir, you wish to take my guards?" The City Lord asked.
"Only if they wish to co and you allow them." Rex replied.
The feeling of knowing Rex grew deeper.
"Good sir, what is your na?"
"My na is Rex."
The pieces finally clicked together. The City Lord knew who this man was.
"Powerful cultivator, please allow all of my guards to co with you. When I dismantle the city, I too wish to travel with you." The City Lord responded eagerly.
Everyone was stunned. There should be no reason for the City Lord to dismantle the city. Not only was this a good location, but the amount of money brought in was always ton. For anyone to want to destroy this city was simply blasphemy.
"City Lord, please no!" The citizens cried.
Not only was this their ho but the place where they could live freely without worry from cultivators. If they had to leave, or if monsters ran rampant through the city. No one would even spare them.
"This is my decision. Stay silent or be executed." The City Lord responded.
The citizens gritted their teeth in anger Coe choosing the woman on charge. She simply got chose for the fact that she did not do anything to the people.
She allowed them to do what they wanted, as long as their taxes got paid. This made the citizens complacent and now in endangered.
A small child raised their hand. Rex went over and bent down and picked up the child.
"What is it?" Rex asked.
"Does this an ho is longer here?" The child asked.
Rex smiled with his reply, "The City Lord is just mad and is trying to get back on my good side. There is nothing here to worry about. How about I take you to a new place where you can enjoy yourself to max?" Rex asked.
The child glead with joy. The child pointed to their mother. She was dressed in bad rags and had a makeshift sling on her right arm.
"Co here." Rex commanded.
The woman ca and Rex saw how badly she had been treated.
"The guards who wish to follow . Help this woman get the treatnt she needs before we leave." Rex said.
Nearly every guard around ca and helped the woman. Not because of an order, but because they were willing to do it. Before Rex could hand them the Qi Stones for the treatnt, the guards had already decided to pay for it with their own little Qi Stones.
Once the woman got treated and healed. She, the child, the husbands, Rex's new guards totaling 196, and the forr City Lord all left to go be able to enter the Third Realm or unite with their demon wives.
