Upon entering the Labyrinth of Unholy. The Foxn scouts were sent to find a single Treant and bring two Treants together.
The group of Foxn were upset but knew that this was for the best. Their lives were on the line buy felt more relaxed than normal.
Gyuki and Tetsuo thought it was because the two of them were together. Reality snapped them out of that delusion when the duo looked at Rex.
"Only Rex and mother can provide this level of protection." Tetsuo thought.
"Only those two have the advantage when it cos large numbering of foxes." Gyuki thought.
Suddenly, one of the scouts returned near the entrance.
"Two Treants are on their way here." He reported.
"Thank you." Rex replied.
Without missing a beat, "Foxn Formation."
Six Foxn beca the guards up front. Gyuki was with the long range attackers behind the guards. Tetsuo was beside Rex.
Rex was honestly impressed with how quick they got into formation. It looked like they had practiced this formation quite a bit the previous day.
"Good job everyone." Rex said.
The Foxn wanted to cheer but awaited until after they defeated the first two Treants.
"Gyuki." Rex called.
Gyuki turned his head.
"I want this battle to be over quickly. Help the long range attackers defeat the Treants." Rex said.
Gyuki nodded.
Four lances of Wind Qi were at Gyuki's feet. When the two Treants finally showed themselves.
A barrage of Wind Lances and Fire Lances were shot to the Treants. One died almost imdiately, and the other suffered serious injuries.
"DEFEAT IT NOW!" Rex yelled.
The Six Foxn guards rushed the wounded Treant. It quickly died as well. Two black orbs were dropped by the Treants.
Rex went to check them out. He had never seen or heard of these orbs before.
"Black Orb of Evolution"
"This orbs is used on Beastn to strengthen their bodies. For Werewolves, this increases their strength and claw durability. For Foxn, this increases their Qi going into their tails and their natural flexibility. For Angelic Warriors, this will increase their wing strength and one type of natural strength they would have gotten while in their non-angelic form. Each orb will only increase one tail, claw, or wing at a ti."
"The maximum a Foxn can use is Nine Black Orbs of Evolution but if a Four Tailed Fox tried to take Five Black Orbs. Their body will naturally reject it."
Rex saw the two black orbs. He tossed one to Gyuki and the other to Tetsuo.
"Use those to strengthen your bodies." Rex said.
Gyuki and Tetsuo both shallowed the orb they had. A magical golden glow circled both of them. Gyuki naturally let his evolution go to his Wind Qi. Tetsuo just held on to his inside his Dantian.
"Is sothing wrong Tetsuo?" Rex asked.
"Nothing. I just want to test out my current strengths before deciding which one to upgrade." Tetsuo replied.
Rex was happy with that decision. That reminded him of his first journey. Always holding the keys to his strengthening his body no matter what happened.
The second scouts ca back panicky. Rex got the scout to calm down.
"At least ten Treants are on their way. Apparently, the last two were apart of this group."
Rex let the scout sit down. Rex went up front and stood in front of the Foxn.
"When facing more than three Treants. Rember, give them all the long range attacks. Anything will slow them down. Even a Qi type that they are strong too. When one stops, the others are still going. It can beco easy to make so fall over. Then they will beco crushed by the others."
Several trees could be seen coming up. Even though the group was close to the exit. They honestly felt fear seeing the many monsters.
"When you all decide to enter inside. Make two teams, the first team have greater guard power and decent long range attackers. The second team have better control over themselves. You all currently would be team two."
The group felt compelled to join this fight. Rex had given a hope they never thought possible.
"FIRE QI: FIRE LANCE OF DESTRUCTION" Rex yelled.
A singular fire lance was thrown into the Treant horde. All of them were burnt to a crisp. Ten more Black Orbs of Evolution were dropped.
Rex questioned why he got these drops.
"Answer the Host is partying with Beastn who have not evolved completely yet. While they are Beastn not fully evolved, the Black Orb of Evolution will drop."
Rex was satisfied with this outco.
He went and gathered the ten orbs. He handed one to each Foxn for entering the Labyrinth of Unholy.
"WE WILL CONTINUE HUNTING. FOR NOW, WE ARE MOVING FORWARD." Rex announced.
The group moved to a cave and began to eat their black orbs. When each of them had.
Rex led the group deeper inside the cave.
Three spiders were awaiting the Foxn.
Rex had already known about them. The Spider Queen had asked them nicely to not attack.
When they refused, she beat them until they were almost dead. They could not fight back because her strength was too much for them.
When the group entered the place with the Spiders. They were shocked as poison leaked from their fangs down.
"ALWAYS BE WEARY. NEVER ONCE INSIDE THE LABYRINTH OF UNHOLY THINK THAT THERE IS A SAFE PLACE." Rex said and it echoed throughout the cave.
The group headed out of the cave. The Spiders were glad they were not attacked again. The Foxn learned a valuable lesson inside the cave.
When they exited, two Treants were looking around for sothing. The Foxn decided to do a hit and run tactic on the Treants.
When the Treants finally turned their back. All of the guard Foxn dashed out of the cave. Several Qi attacks landed on the Treants' backs.
This tactic completely defeated the two Treants easily. The Foxn were glad that this worked out in their favor this ti.
"Now it is ti to take these spoils to the Guild." Rex said.
The group happily left the Labyrinth of Unholy.
