Even though the day was Monday, their group did not have school for the release of the new VR headset. What most people did not know was the storm that was about to hit with it.
"Rex, was there anything special that happened on the mountain?" Iris asked.
Even though everyone was downstairs. Rex's parents decided to order sothing from all the food apps that there are. Deciding that a good burger was on the nu. They ordered from 4 guys that started a burger joint.
"Hey Rex, you need to explain to your mom what happened during my breakthrough so she too can have one as well." Rex's father yelled throughout the downstairs.
Iris was a little upset that Rex's father yelled but knew that this was the usual thing that happened.
"Okay dad." Rex replied with a smile.
"Um Iris, can we have this talk later?" Rex pleaded.
"No. You need to explain what happened now." Margaret ca up from behind.
"Not you too." Rex sighed.
Sensing that Rex did not want to talk about what happened. Violet ca in and stopped Rex from saying anything.
Rex was pleased. He knew Violet had not always been 100% honest with them. Rex also knew that she did not like to hear saddening or horror stories.
Once a driver dropped off their burgers. The family then began to eat and watch so ani. Since it was Violet's turn to decide what they watch. She decided to watch a young man going around slaying demons with a weird water style.
"That was AMAZING!" Violet yelled once they watched the first season.
"Ti for bed." Rex's mother said.
"Goodnight all." Rex said.
"Goodnight." Rex's parents said.
Rex was the first to leave. Iris and Liz both stayed to explain how one normally makes a breakthrough for Rex's mother.
Rex's parents both sat back down to listen to Iris and Liz.
"When one is ready for a breakthrough. One usually has to sit in a lotus position and accept the tribulation strikes. There are a few weird cases but normally it is lightning strikes. When one passes through all nine of them, that is when one can advance to the next realm." Iris explained.
"The off cases are when you are by a volcano or inside the sea. By the volcano you will receive Magma lashing. One lash is equal to receiving a lightning strike from the Eighth Realm. In the ocean, it makes you drown. The longer you are in a drowned state, the stronger the effect is." Liz explained.
"That did not happen to ." Rex's father sighed before continuing, "I just happened to make it to the next realm and I broke through."
Iris and Liz both blinked. They had not ever been to the First Realm in their lifeti before. So they could not say that was the truth. Knowing how blessed Rex was, they thought it also shifted to his parents also.
"We will hear more about this tomorrow in school. We will let you know if that is normal or not." Liz said.
"Thank you girls." Rex's mother smiled.
Waking up the next morning, Rex felt much better than he did before.
(Rex's pov)
"Ti to go." I smiled.
I went and put on my school uniform. It was purple with blue stripes. It looked horrible but the school was well known as the best school in the country.
Going downstairs, I saw my parents made breakfast. The eggs were completely burnt, the tall glass of chocolate milk was almost overflowing, the toast looked like soone used a flathrower on it, and the seating was absurd.
I was put in the middle of the living room with all the girls sitting on couches and the recliner facing towards .
Well, I knew that was going to happen eventually. I still had hope. If I can quickly think of this as a dium rare steak. I can have the al hatched down in no ti.
To my surprise, I barely tasted the eggs and nearly puked. It tasted like chicken seasoning and steak seasoning were mixed together trying to devour each other.
I quickly threw it away. Thankfully, the girls had not woken up yet. I can have a head start and maybe talk to so others about the ga and see how they are doing.
I opened the front door and once I closed it. I felt girls looking in my direction. I did my best to quickly run.
They had already gotten up and jumped out of the windows dashing towards .
I really just want to have a normal walk to school one day. Just why can I not have a normal day ever? Why do I have to deal with these girls? Why is it every morning, afternoon, night, and each ti in-between that I have to run away from them?
I quickly turned and t up with so guys from my class and walked in the middle. The Iris and Liz both looked like they were about to reach the point of murder in the city.
I really did not want anything to happen. So I decided to let the guys know the girls an no harm and want to rip to shreds. The guys laughed.
I knew deep down that was the only real way to keep them occupied. Once they stopped laughing, I began to ask so questions.
"How far did you all advance?"
"I started to have tribulations but I failed. There were three lightning strikes and I was told that I failed from the system."
"I barely started the ga. I work a full-ti job during the week and a part ti job on the weekend. I have vacation this week so I can really jump into it."
"You know I did a special quest and I did not have tribulations."
That caught my attention. I knew my father advanced in the cultivation realm. Normally, there are tribulations but doing special quests negates those tribulations.
I truly do not know. I will continue to look forward and see what happens.
"What kind of quest did you do?"
"I found a special herb that only grows around the mountain range. While I was cultivating, I casually broke through."
Hearing how it happened, I know why that was a special quest. It either has to do with the wyvern or the group I was trying to fight. Either way, I now have ways to help my parents negate tribulations.
