Back on Earth
"The sky is beautiful isn't?" I asked Lilith.
"Beautiful?" Her tone was not pleasant.
"I an, it is not as beautiful as you. I an the color of it." I was trying to appease Lilith.
Lilith giggled, seeing my reaction.
"I know what you ant. The Scarlet Sky is indeed beautiful to those who do not know the aning behind it or they have nothing to fear." Lilith said.
This was big news. I wanted to know what this Scarlet Sky ant.
"Oh, we get to kill!" The Shadows danced around Rex.
Sothing kept them from getting any closer. They were not sure why.
"Why won't the sky let us kill you?" The Shadows seed to be in a mad fury.
A peacock dallion ca from Lilith. A burst of light appeared. A peacock whose beauty was mysterious appeared.
I found myself in a state of staring. I had not realized it until Lilith hit the back of my head. I blinked and saw the Shadows had disappeared.
"What happened?" I asked.
"This is why and her do not make an appearance very often." Lilith responded uncomfortablely.
"Huh?" I thought I misheard.
The peacock began to sway the tail feathers. They eventually landed on my lap. Lilith was getting visibly angry.
"He is such a cutie." I heard a womanly voice.
It sounded like a mother sweet talking to her child. I was not sure why, but I felt compelled to nudge myself closer to the peacock.
Lilith grabbed my clothing and forced into her lap. I saw the anger in her eyes. I was glad to have soone like her close to .
"You are no fun." I heard the woman's voice again.
Beside Lilith now was a woman who kept the peacock tail feathers. I found myself again sperized. The beauty the woman had was greater than the Mistress's.
"You made your appearance. Now leave." Lilith spoke on the verge of exploding.

"I SAID LEAVE!" Lilith transford completely into her demon form.
A sigh left the woman's mouth.
"Shall we dance?" The woman asked.
Feathers danced all around. So beautiful, so ugly, others were long, others were short, and a single one floated above us.
"Do not tempt ." Lilith said.
She gently cracked the ground by just pushing herself up.
"I see. Well then, I guess we can call this match a tie." The woman said.
The ground returned to normal, and the feathers disappeared.
"I am known as Peacock. If you ever need any help, just crack my dallion." The woman handed the dallion.
"What does the Scarlet Sky an?" I asked.
"It is a ti of killing. This is the fourth ti in recorded history that this has happened. To be truthful, I believe it has happened multiple tis. Since it is now done mainly at night or at noon. We are not completely sure." Peacock answered.
I looked at Peacock and began to feel sothing weird coming from her. I did want to know. Lilith kept back.
"I am the second-in-command of the Shadow Clan. It has been a pleasure to et you, Rex. Lilith has kept the dallion on her but never once used it. I also have her dallion and have not used it." Peacock smiled at .
Lilith got embarrassed. Playfully teased her. This only made it worse.
"Her dallion is the boar. That is because when we found her. She was already immune to the effects of the Scarlet Sky."
I found this interesting.
"DO NOT SPEAK ANYMORE!" Lilith was angry.
Her entire demonic deanor was forcibly coming out. I knew she had to calm down.
"There, there. We can always wait." I patted Lilith.
She kept her focus on Peacock. I could tell that she was getting calr.
"I will finish this and go." Peacock took a second, "The Scarlet Sky has a hormone effect to it. When we try to find new recruits. We have to slowly inject them with the hormone. This is to get their body accustod to it. Well, during the Scarlet Sky. All the hormones inside each Shadow are maxed out."
Peacock got a drink of water. "These hormones control the Shadows to kill enemies. There is a catch when Shadows are near those in command. So , the Mistress, Lilith, and two others. They will have a direct line to control the hormones. Their wrath will be increased, but their killing feeling will go down. The dallions also work the sa. It is lessened to a great degree but still effective."
Peacock shook her tail feathers. "The biggest thing to rember about the Scarlet Sky." Peacock looked up and saw it diminishing, "You always want to be on the Shadow Clan's good side. This will help protect you in the future."
She handed one of her feathers.
"That is a way to always talk to . I can help you to certain degrees with it also. However, it is ti for to go."
A light appeared, and Peacock disappeared.
The two of us watched as the Scarlet Sky turned dark.
"Is there anything else I need to know?" I asked.
"Yes. For now, there is nothing you can do about it." Lilith answered.
The Shadows who were dancing around showed back up.
"Why was Peacock here?" They feared the connection.
Lilith released a weird sll. That made ultra weak. The Shadows just casually walked away.
Lilith helped to the bedroom. I was very dizzy by the ti we reached there. I placed the feather from Peacock on sothing.
Lilith helped both of us fall asleep.
Peacock's feather went over to the window and seemingly watched over the duo sleep. A couple of blinks later from the feather and the room beca more decorated.
There was a painting of a boar on the front wall. The side wall where the Peacock's feather was got a painting of a peacock. On the other side, a painting of a fish swimming. On the wall behind Rex and Lilith was a painting of Ryuu the Heavenly Wrath Sword.
Peacock blinked twice and decided to ask the Mistress about the mysterious sword painting.
