Rex decided to take the defense first. This surprised the Snake King. The Snake King quickly launched himself forward, ready to shallow Rex whole.
Rex focused his Heavenly Qi into his left fist. A singular punch not only countered the Snake King's attack but also killed him. Due to the challenge, the Snake King did not die.
Rex focused Heavenly Qi on his right foot. The Snake King widened his eyes. Seeing the Qi launch from Rex's foot. The Snake King knew he was dead before the attack landed.
Once the attack landed, nothing remained of the Snake King. Rex turned around and headed back to the base.
Lilith was stunned by the serious of events. She had heard of Heavenly Ranked King/Queen Beasts issuing challenges. This was her first ti seeing one.
"We have a lot to take care of. Make sure that we are prepared for everything, Bella." Lilith ordered.
"Mistress, I will do whatever I can to help protect us." Bella bowed.
"I will also help. Make sure we get a map, and I will do whatever I can to help." Demon Rex announced.
Rex entered the base. He felt more exhausted than before. He grabbed Lilith by the arm and with a fiery kick. He forged a place to rest with her.
The building itself was not big by any ans. A singular room with only a door. The place inside looked much bigger than on the outside.
"We need to sleep." Rex said.
He laid down and motioned for Lilith to join him. She did. She laid her head on his arm facing towards him. Lilith hugged Rex, and the two fell asleep.
Bella watched her Mistress and Demon King fall asleep. Once the two were, she motioned for Demon Rex to stay quiet. He waited outside their house.
Bella went and made sure nothing could damage the base. She had not learned anything about the Heavenly Bases or Heavenly House. She made sure to learn what she could while the night was young.
During the night, Rex felt sothing poking him. When he would wake up. He saw different notifications.
"Bella is throwing sand at your base."
"Bella is throwing rocks at your base."
"Bella is swinging Demon Rex like a raging doll at your base."
"Bella is..."
The list continued.
Rex ignored them for now. He would have to tell Bella not to worry about it. Rex would tell Lilith to explain more about the Heavenly Bases and Heavenly Ho to Bella.
The next morning ca. The duo exited the house. Demon Rex looked like a sand storm had co through. Bella looked exhausted from all of her nightly learning.
"Ti to go." Rex said.
The group continued to move forward. Rex really wanted to find a town or sothing to stop at for the night.
Unfortunately, he did not find one. He decided to just keep pushing himself over the glass plane.
Nearly three days of non-stop pushing. The group arrived at a town. This made them happy.
Rex pushed himself to enter the town. Rex finally pushed himself too hard and cracked the glass plane. When the glass plane cracked, it caught Rex's right foot up to his shin.
He accidentally dropped everyone while he went face first into the glass plane. When his head hit the glass, it spiderwebbed around him.
He was not hurt in his pride. He had ripped his ACL, broke his shin bone, and cracked his forehead. Blood was pouring out of his head.
It took Lilith a mont to check on her husband. She saw the condition he was in. She desperately tried to free him. She could not even budge the glass from his shin.
Rex did not notice the broken leg. He was more worried about the blood pouring from his head.
"Lilith," Rex could barely cry out.
Lilith ca over to face her husband. She used her Heavenly Qi to stop the bleeding. Bella and Demon Rex both broke a little bit of the glass around Rex's shin. The duo forced his leg up.
Rex cried out in pain. When his leg got forced out, it got shredded by the sharp glass around it.
Bella used her Demonic Qi to try and heal Rex. Demon Rex also tried to help, but the duo failed.
Once the bleeding from Rex's head stopped. Lilith forced herself to use her Demonic Qi and heal Rex's leg.
She was quickly running out. The group needed to get into a building before dark.
Demon Rex carried Rex on his back. Bella used her back to support Rex's legs, while Lilith was still healing.
Demon Rex forced his way into a building. He saw a place to lay Rex down, and he did.
"We need supplies." Bella commanded.
Demon Rex saw that the building he had entered was a house. There were a few supplies that he could use.
Unknowingly, the group had to face a creature upstairs. It was not happy that so people entered his abode.
"Just wait until I feast." The creature whispered.
The creature looked down, and there were two babies next to a woman with a helt on. The woman could not be seen by the creature, though.
One of the babies started to cry. The creature was upset.
"Please do not cry. I will do my best to protect you." The creature said.
He used his front leg to comfort the baby. The baby finally cald down. The door inside the bedroom cracked open, and the creature was mad.
Once the baby started to cry. The group heard it. Lilith was the most afraid of what would happen.
"We need to find where the baby is." She whispered to Bella.
Demon Rex ca back and was told to wait by Rex's side.
Bella and Lilith both went upstairs. Bella took the right side. Lilith took the left side.
The first door that Bella opened. She saw a massive green creature that she had never seen before.
Under the creature was two babies and a woman. Bella felt fear once the door creaked when she opened it.
The massive creature launched itself towards Bella. Lilith ca in front and grabbed the head of the creature. Once Lilith had a good hold, she slamd the creature down.
Nothing stopped the shaking of the house when the creature got slamd. Demon Rex got told to help Lilith.
"Please do not kill . I am already hungry and have been protecting the young ones." The creature said.
Lilith looked over and saw the two babies and soone with a helt on. She recognized the helt. It was one that the demons previously used to enter the Heavenly Realm.
"Crawl with ." Lilith ordered.
The group arrived in front of Rex. Lilith explained the situation. Once she got done.
Rex asked, "Why is a locust protecting babies?"
