Kyra stood by the door, looking at the ss in the room. She felt a headache coming on as she saw the broken bed. But then, her expression softened.
Vincent was helping Lucas, wrapping bandages around his wounds carefully.
It was like two cats that usually fight suddenly becoming friends. It was a nice surprise to see them getting along after all the arguing.
If Lucas and Vincent heard Kyra, they would probably protest, saying they were die Hard-enemies, not friends. But Kyra could see the bond forming between them.
Ayoo handed Kyra another set of clothes along with a bowl of dicine and bandages. With these in hand, Kyra walked over to where Lucas and Vincent were.
"Your wound has reopened." Kyra said, concern evident in her voice.
"Thanks for your hard work, Vincent," Kyra said, looking at him. "But we need to remove the bandage again to apply the dicinal paste... I’m sorry."
"It’s okay." Vincent replied, waving his hand dismissively as he stood up with an expressionless face, he walked closer to the window, gazing out of the window.
Lucas sat quietly, legs crossed, avoiding Kyra’s gaze. He felt a deep sense of sha for what his tribe mber had done to her.
Kyra felt a rush of happiness seeing Lucas able to shift again. She gently touched his back before carefully opening the bandage and applying paste around his wound. Glancing at his face, she wondered why he avoided her gaze.
With a tender touch, she wrapped a fresh bandage around his neck.
"Lucas." she murmured softly, noticing him lowering his head even further. Despite her efforts, he still refused to et her eyes.
"Baby." she spoke again softly, and Vincent’s ears perked up as he looked back, his ears turning red.
This wolf was offended when called ’baby wolf’ by him, but when Kyra called him ’baby’ he blushed.
Vincent couldn’t help but think how biased he was.
"What are you thinking?" Kyra asked, breaking the silence.
Lucas bit his lip, his gaze avoiding hers until Kyra gently lifted his chin to et her eyes.
Lost in her dreamy and beautiful gaze, he finally spoke up.
"I’m sorry about what my tribe mber did to you." he said sadly, lowering his head.
Kyra cupped his cheeks, her touch soothing, as she saw his bright blue eyes moistened with emotion.
Kyra smiled warmly at him, her thumbs gently caressing his skin. "It’s not your fault," she reassured him, leaning in to kiss his cheeks.
"It’s them who forced , and I don’t like when soone forces . But you’re always with , no matter what. You’re different, and they are different. You’re my always cutest Mr. Wolf and Baby. And don’t worry, you will avenge when we go back to the tribe, right?" Hearing her words, Lucas’s eyes brightened montarily but then dimd again.
"I also broke the bed... I’m so stupid, right?" His eyes beca moist once more.
"No, no, it’s not your fault. It’s the bed that was weak, not you," Kyra reassured him, hugging him tightly.
She was used to seeing him so strong and confident, and she didn’t like seeing him doubt himself. His confidence was what made him unique, and she wanted him to rember that.
Vincent’s jealousy reached its peak as he watched their bond, his heart squeezing painfully. With clenched fists and a sour expression, he struggled to contain his envy.
"We’ll sleep in the space capsule." Kyra announced, causing Vincent to raise his brows in confusion.
"Yay!" Lucas exclaid, standing up happily.
Since Kyra was also married to Vincent, she didn’t want him to feel left out.
So, she went towards him and hugged him tightly, whispering near his ear, "Thanks for helping ! The priest was really right—you’re my protector. You carried three thousand steps, and I can’t even imagine climbing that many steps without feeling tired. But you carried steadily, every step filled with such care and love. When you call your rainbow, my heart just lts. And you, Vincent, you’re my storm—the powerful force that sweeps off my feet and makes feel alive. I feel safe with you, even in the midst of chaos. You complete in ways I never knew possible." With that, she kissed his cheeks and broke the hug, leaving Vincent frozen.
anwhile, Lucas couldn’t help but feel jealous, wanting Kyra’s love for himself alone.
"I am going to change." she said, walking towards another door.
Both males looked back at her dreamily. She was truly a heartthrob, her presence stirring up their emotions and desires with every glimpse of her actions.
Vincent couldn’t help but smile, his face lighting up with joy as he glanced downwards. His grin was so genuine, it was hard not to be captivated by it.
"Quit acting so giddy." Lucas grumbled, eyeing Vincent with surprise. He had never seen Vincent smile so genuinely before; usually, it was just a smirk or a cunning killer smile.
"I don’t care." Vincent replied, his smile growing wider as he watched the rain outside, the tall grass swaying gently in the breeze.
He chuckled softly to himself, thinking about her words, ’She said I was her storm. She loved . She really did.’
His heart felt warm and sweet, like it was soaked in honey. He had always been alone, His childhood had been tough, always fighting to survive and being rejected by his by many.
Even as he grew stronger, he remained alone, pursued only by snake females hungry for power. But he had no interest in them. He had resigned himself to a life of single Male, prepared to die alone.
Then he t little Toma, his younger brother, when their mother left him in his care, and everything changed.
He found a new purpose in protecting his kind and ensuring Toma had a better life. He wanted Toma to experience the happiness he never had, surrounded by friends and family.
Thoughts of his mother filled his mind, and his eyes darkened with emotion.
