Kyra felt a rush of excitent as she shifted into her beast form, the familiar sensations of her frostlyn nature flooding through her. It felt invigorating to stretch and roam in her true shape after such a long ti.
Lucas, sensing the change, beca instantly excited. He leaped up and playfully tried to bite her tails, barking.
In response, Kyra playfully snapped at his tail, which sent him howling dramatically in faux sorrow.
Kyra feeling a twinge of guilt. She leaned down and licked his face affectionately. Instantly, his mood brightened, and they both rolled around on the bed, their fluffy bodies tangling together in a joyful ss.
With a burst of energy, Kyra climbed onto Lucas’s furry back, nuzzling his head with her snout. They playfully pounced around, darting and weaving through the room as laughter and growls filled the air. It was a perfect mont of joy, both lost in their playful antics.
Communication is key! After their heartfelt conversation, Damon and Vincent began to realize how similar they were in certain ways. Their gaze softened as they watched Lucas and Kyra play, a shared understanding growing between them.
Lucas was careful with Kyra, his movents gentle as he followed her lead.
"Is she having zoomies?" Damon chuckled, watching Kyra kick Lucas with her hind leg before playfully bounding around the bed. She darted toward the two males, her excitent palpable.
Kyra leaped onto Damon’s lap, causing him to let out a surprised laugh. Lucas barked at her, his playful tone demanding her attention.
"Sure, sure," Vincent
laughed, reaching out to rub Kyra’s head affectionately. She leaned into his touch, nuzzling against his large, cold hand, feeling safe and loved.
"We have to wake up early, you rember, little thing," Damon said, cradling Kyra in his arms like a baby. She obediently nestled against him, feeling secure in his embrace.
"And you too, Wolf," Vincent added, playfully gripping Lucas by the neck. Lucas let out a growl of frustration, clearly annoyed by how unfairly they were treating him.
"Hey! I’m not just a pet," he huffed after he he put down in bed and shifted in human, his blue eyes glinting with mock indignation. The playful banter only made Kyra giggle, adding to the lighthearted atmosphere in the room.
"Maybe you need to be reminded who’s in charge here," Damon teased, looking down at Kyra with a fond smile.
Lucas rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide the small wag of his tail. "Alright, alright, I’ll be good," he relented, settling down next to Kyra, who was enjoying the attention from her males.
As they prepared to settle in for the night, the bond between them felt stronger than ever, filled with warmth, laughter, and an unspoken promise of protection for one another.

The next morning, they were all preparing to leave when eko started crying, clinging to Kyra’s legs. "Noooo, little sister thing, don’t leave !" he sobbed, hugging her tightly.
Kyra knelt down and gently took eko into her arms. "Aww, baby, don’t worry. I’ll always co back to visit, but sister has to go ho too," she said softly, kissing his forehead. eko pouted and kissed her cheek in return, still reluctant to let her go.
Just then, Lara chid in, her big brown eyes pleading. "No, Kyra, stay for another week, please."
Kyra raised an eyebrow. "Why?"
Lara grinned and explained, "After winter, we eagles celebrate for a better year. It’s also the best ti for mating ceremonies... And since Damon and Oceanus can’t mark you because you’re pregnant, why don’t you join the celebration?"
Alessandro nodded in agreent, adding, "It’s a special ti for our town, and it would be an honor to have you participate in the ceremony too."
Kyra hesitated but then smiled warmly. "Alright, I’ll stay for the ceremony."
Damon’s face lit up with approval, while Lucas looked absolutely thrilled, his excitent bubbling over. Oceanus, in his usual lazy manner, gave a small but satisfied smile. The decision seed to settle the atmosphere, and even eko looked a little happier now.
Vincent remained silent, though unsure about staying in what was essentially enemy territory. However, seeing the happiness on everyone’s faces, he decided not to say anything for now. Shortly after they agreed to stay, Alessandro and so males began preparing traditional jewelry and ceremonial clothing for them, insisting they wear it for the upcoming ritual.
The males were also inford that they’d need to wake up before sunrise to perform a special ceremony by the river. After that, several other rituals would follow.
Damon was brimming with excitent. Tomorrow, he would finally beco Kyra’s true mate. He and Lucas went out to hunt for prey, and once they returned, they cooked together while Kyra and Lara walked outside, talking and enjoying the fresh air.
After dinner, Alessandro, eko, and Lara said their goodbyes for the night and left. As they all retired for the evening, Kyra snuggled into Damon’s side, falling asleep quickly, while Lucas dozed off in his wolf form on a nearby chair. Vincent coiled up near the door, his snake form guarding them in silence.
But Damon? He couldn’t sleep at all. His mind was racing with excitent, anticipation surging through him. Tomorrow, he would finally be bonded to Kyra as her true mate, and the thought kept him wide awake, a sense of joy and determination coursing through him.
A soft smile lingered on Damon’s face, his silver eyes gleaming under the dim light of the room. The rhythmic sounds of night insects and the distant croaking of toads made the night feel even longer, stretching the hours as if testing his patience. He wished he could pull the sun into the sky, making dawn co faster.
Unable to contain his excitent, he hugged Kyra closer, burying his face in her neck, inhaling her comforting scent. This was the happiest day of his life, and he couldn’t wait for tomorrow. The thought of finally being bound to her as her true mate filled him with an overwhelming sense of joy. Everything felt perfect.
