Kyra stood near Damon’s house, watching Vinecnt slither away for the last ti.
She felt numb and empty, a profound ache settling in her chest. Is this what it feels like when you love soone so deeply that you can’t imagine living without them? Maybe.
It was hard to let him go, but she knew he had to do this. She smiled through her tears as he disappeared into the darkness.
Lucas bit his lip, feeling his throat tighten with emotion. He didn’t know when he had beco so attached to Vinecnt. At first, he saw him as a rival, but now he felt a deep sadness seeing him leave.
Damon, on the other hand, felt a flicker of happiness that Vinecnt was finally gone. His sharp eyes flashed with satisfaction as he looked at Kyra. "Shall we go inside?" he asked.
Kyra didn’t answer. She kept her eyes on the spot where Vinecnt had disappeared, her heart heavy. She didn’t want to talk to anyone. She just wanted to be alone, feeling the tightness in her chest and pressing her lips into a thin line.
He told her he was going to underground and he was going to be near by, and if he woke up he will co to visit her.
Kyra nodded at Damon and walked inside, her steps heavy. Lucas followed silently, not in the mood for jokes or laughter.
Inside, Kyra moved to the sofa and sat down, staring blankly ahead. Lucas sat beside her, offering silent support. Damon sat across from them, his eyes watching Kyra with concern.
He didn’t know that Snake’s absence made her smile disappear.
The room was quiet.
"It’s already midnight; we should sleep," Kyra said, standing up and walking upstairs. Lucas and Damon followed her.
"You sleep on the bed, little one. I will sleep on the floor in my dragon form," Damon said in his low, magnetic voice.
"No need. I’ll sleep on the edge. You both can sleep together. I don’t want anyone to sleep on the floor," she muttered. Without saying more, she climbed onto the bed and covered herself with the blanket.
Lucas climbed next to her, shifting into his wolf form, and laid his head near Kyra. Damon, feeling disgusted at the idea of sleeping next to Lucas, took a deep breath and reluctantly lay beside him.
The day had started with fun and ended with a heavy silence.

Cloud City, Eagle Kingdom.
"Brother, thankfully I found eko thanks to that female who saved him," Lara said as she looked at the man holding her cub.
"Hmm..." he humd, his Adam’s apple moving as he humd in a magnetic voice.
"Pretty sister was so cool! I want to beco like her in the future," eko said excitedly, hugging his uncle who held him steadily.
"Really? Traitor. And here I thought you wanted to beco like ," he laughed, the low sound of his laugh as magnetic as his voice.
"Hehehe," eko giggled. "Sorry."
"Brother, I already told her about you. I think she was a good and kind female. I think you should consider her," Lara sighed, hoping her words would have so effect.
"No need," he replied, his voice firm.
"Why, brother? It’s best to find soone beside you. Everyone around is getting a female," Lara said, looking tense. Her worry was evident in the furrow of her brow and the way she fidgeted with her hands.
"I already have a female I like," he spoke, his voice a low rumble as he gazed at the breathtaking mountain view outside. The sunlight cast a golden glow on the peaks, and the sight seed to soften his features, if only for a mont.
"Really?" Lara’s eyes lit up with hope and curiosity. "Is it a female I already know? Tell , tell !" She almost bounced with excitent, her usual composure montarily forgotten.
"No," he said, turning to look at her. His gaze was intense, and the shadows in the room seed to deepen around him. There was a flicker of sothing unreadable in his eyes, sothing that made Lara feel a mix of frustration and intrigue.
"Then why are you sitting here doing nothing? I can’t believe you think a female is going to walk into your life if you just wait..." Lara spoke, her voice rising with worry. She couldn’t understand his reluctance, and it frustrated her to see him so unmoved.
He laughed, a sound that was deep and magnetic, sending a chill down her spine. The laugh was unexpected, resonating with a quiet power that seed to fill the room. Lara shivered at the reaction, feeling the power in his laugh. It was both dangerous and srizing, making her wonder what thoughts hid behind those intense eyes.
"Lara, you worry too much," he said, his voice softening slightly. "I know what I’m doing. The right ti will co." He turned back to the window.
"Right ti, what? By then, she’ll have many more males already vying for her!" Lara shouted, her frustration evident. eko climbed down from his arms and dashed out of the room, his small feet echoing against the wooden floor.
Lara watched the cub run away, she saw him disappear around the corner. With a final, lingering glance at her brother, she followed eko out of the room, her mind racing with thoughts of the future and her brother’s stubbornness.
He stood up, his tall and strong fra taking the space around him. The room seed to shrink slightly in his presence. He let out a soft, thoughtful hum, the sound of his voice low and contemplative. "Hmm... Don’t worry, love. Soon, I will find you," he thought, his gaze turning back to the mountain view.
However, as he stood there, his expression shifted. A shadow of contemplation crossed his face, darkening his features. His eyes narrowed as he considered sothing troubling.
"Patience," he murmured to himself, the word a quiet mantra against the turmoil in his mind. "I must be patient."
