"What do you an she has to work for you?" Mcillian then turned around and stared at the woman.
"Sherylla? Honey what is he talking about? Did you really try and kill him?"
Why did that na sound familiar? I couldn't quite place it but for so reason that na rang a small bell in the back of my mind.
"Honey, please.... He just attacked out of nowhere, he tried to violate ... please Mcillian we have to escape from here." She said as she started to cry and shake. I couldn't tell if this was an act or not but my chains were not coming off until I'm satisfied with her work.
Unfortunately it looks like Mcillian was to enthralled by this woman to have a conversation and within seconds I felt his anger alongside his energy levels rising and his body started to heat up the surroundings.
"You tried to take my woman?" He said as he slowly turned around, the fear was completely gone as anger and rage had taken over.
"Hey, whoa, just listen for a second man.... Don't do anything you're gonna regret."
"I DON'T CARE! SHE IS MINE AND I WILL KILL ALL THOSE WHO TRY AND TAKE HER AWAY AGAIN!"
"Again?" I said seconds before he disappeared with a flash and I once again was the victim of sweet sweet chin music.
This ti however I could feel an icy coldness where his fist impacted against my cheek. I looked and his hands were actually incased in a block of solid ice. I was thoroughly confused until I rembered sothing. He told that he had 2 classes, Berserker and a Wizard. He was able to physically utilize spells and incorporate them with his fighting style.
"Mcillian you need to calm down. Just listen to for 2 seconds." I tried to get through to him but with Aura Vision all I could see was a bright red that just scread rage at . If I didn't know any better I could swear that there were wisps of another power scratching the surface around him.
It reminded of Wrath and the power it could give a person.
"Fuck... Mcillian, is soone talking to you right now? Is sothing speaking in your mind right now? ANSWER MCILLIAN!" I was worried that he had sohow been branded by Wrath and had been tasked with killing . If I lost control of him here then who knows what kind of destruction his power could bring.
"I here nothing.... I feel nothing but rage and the desire to feast on your blood." Was all that was said before he disappeared with a flash yet again. But this ti I wasn't going to just let him hit as I quickly activated my defensive skill [Scales of the Void] I knew the power he packed with each punch. Even in my dragon form he hurt so it looks like I'll have to pull out so tricks.
The scales allowed to basically absorb a portion if not all of the attack and then I could use that power to temporarily boost my own power. It all depended on the difference of our respective stats but I could tell that I was stronger but only just... And that's what worried .
Even using the scales I still was pushed to the side as his attack was able to still bust through and hit my face. I quickly healed up and reversed my transformation. I needed speed now more than the strength my true form gave . I used [Spatial Blink] that was the upgraded version of [Quick Step] and appeared behind him and threw my fist at him while using the absorbed power of his punch to give mine so extra oomph.
I could see the fist was going to fast for any body to dodge but it seed that at the last second, he simply moved his head enough for my fist to just barely graze his cheek. He then grabbed my arm and lifted over his shoulder and threw through the air and into the forest. He threw so hard that I was actually breaking through so of the trees before finally I was nailed from above and slamd into the ground creating a crater around the impact area.
"You are weak Vexsus, How can other people see you as the leader when you yourself hold no strength? I think it's ti I took over... If your friends are weaker than you than I know I can lead with an iron fist and kill any who resist. This is your punishnt for trying to take away my Sherylla, I will eat you and then I'll eat your daughter. Your abomination children would be my slaves as I feast on the weaklings."
My body was still healing but at an incredibly slow speed. I didn't know what was happening but it felt like so kind of energy was disrupting my powers and slowing down the process. I couldn't tell what it was but I knew it was sothing Mcillian had used against .
"Why are you doing this Mcillian? Please just listen to , I can still use your help but if you keep doing this I promise you won't like the results." I tried once again to talk to him but if this fails than I might be forced to use Wrath's power yet again to be on even ground with the power this guy is showing.
"Because you tried to take away my Sherylla that's why. I told you how much I loved her and how broken I was when she was taken from the first ti. I will not make that sa mistake again. Even if it's you I will destroy everything if it ans she is safe."
It finally snapped at who Sherylla was.... She was his wife that was killed and used as a spiritual slave by the so called lord of this place before we ca. We weren't able to save her and she had disappeared after the lord was killed.... But if that happened then who is this woman here? And why is Mcillian so sure that she is Sherylla?
I was hoping to solve this with a quick look at the woman but it looks like he had thrown quite far into the forest. I needed to know who she was and with Analyze I could hopefully get a clue but she wasn't there, it could only an she was still at base or was heading here, and I hope she was heading here. I didn't want the others to be in danger.
*SONDAR, BASE IS IN DANGER WAKE UP AND GET EVERYONE PREPARED FOR BATTLE.*
I sent the ntal ssage through my connection with Sondar and realized how stupid I was to not have done that in the first place.
"Don't try to contact the others. I made sure that while you were sleeping to seal away a part of your powers." A womans voice spoke up from behind a large tree and out walked the so called Sherylla with that giant wolf by her side.
"I planned on killing you in your sleep but you just had to wake up didn't you? I was going to spare your family but those 2 young ones saw you sleeping and ca over to wake you up.... SO I killed them and buried there bodies right next to you. I bet you didn't even know the difference HAHAHAHAH!"
The woman let out an evil sounding cackle as she talked about killing 2 of my children.
Fear started to consu my heart and using everything I had I used [Spatial Blink] repeatedly to boost my speed as I raced back to that tree I was sleeping under. When I reached there I began digging with my bare hands until I uncovered 2 bodies..... It was Missy and Jazzy..... Their throats had been slit.
The blood was still warm and flowing but their eyes already showed that life had left them.... There was nothing I could do.

My heart felt like a knife was sliding into it with jagged edges.

My fists were clenched so tight that blood had started to pour out from it. I was shaking as the pain of reality started settling in.... 2 more children were dead and all because of my actions.
*USE GODDAMIT!*
I heard the voice but I just couldn't bring myself to use her power. A part of showed images of ripping Mcillian to pieces and eating that woman slowly while she was still alive. But another part of was mourning, the sadness was increasing as the images of Missy's smiling cute face as she stared up at , and the potential that I saw in Jazzy but the fire I felt from them was snuffed out....

I sighed as I felt the small red part of my brand started to heat up in my chest.

As the deal was struck a window popped up showing I had been given a quest. I couldn't tell if it was Wrath's doing or if Gluttony had a hand in this. but either way I was more focused than ever as images of a glory death played in my head.
