Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Unredeemable, to die as an apology for my cris!

Ever since obtaining the Dragon God Technique, Yang Qi knew that modern National dicine had lost far too much of its ancient knowledge. However, all of it was perfectly recorded within the Dragon God Technique. As his cultivation continued to improve, he would be able to unleash the trendous advantages of National dicine.

Yang Qi glanced at Lei Qingtian on the hospital bed. The old man’s complexion was ashen. He was hanging on by a single thread; if that breath left his chest, his life would be over. At this point, he was being kept alive entirely by a ventilator, but it was clear his ti was running out.

"And you think you’re qualified to insult National dicine? What do you know?" Yang Qi retorted, looking at the man in the white coat. "Just because you don’t understand sothing, you call it witchcraft. How is that any different from the West burning Copernicus for proposing heliocentrism? You can say *he’s* useless, a fraud, or a quack. But you will not insult National dicine!"

"Who are you?" the man in the white coat frowned.

"He’s here to treat my grandfather!" Lei Yingying said.

"What a joke!" the man in the white coat scoffed. "Modern dicine can’t solve this. Do you really think you can fix it with witchcraft? Prefecture Master Lei is at his end. Even with dication, he only has two or three days left. Miss Lei, I know you’re desperate, but you can’t trust these charlatans."

"Nonsense!" Yang Qi said coldly. "I say he can live for another ten years. How can you be so quick to pronounce his death sentence? Do you really understand dicine, or do you just trust those machines?"

"You!" The man in the white coat was livid. He was the most famous internist in this hospital and had treated countless patients. And now, so brat had the audacity to claim he couldn’t treat patients, only read machines. Of course, he was furious.

"Young man, please stop this nonsense. The doctor is right," Master Liu sighed. "Prefecture Master Lei’s life is nearly spent. Not even a Daluo Golden Immortal could bring him back from the dead. National dicine isn’t magic; it has its limits!"

"It’s precisely quacks like you who tarnish the reputation of National dicine!" Yang Qi shot back with a cold glare at Master Liu.

"You! You arrogant brat, do you have any idea who I am? I am Liu Changsheng! My master is the renowned Sun Tianshou, the ’Divine Hand of National dicine’ in Jingzhou! In all of Kang City, no one in our field has ever dared to speak to

this way!" Liu Changsheng had already been enduring the other doctor’s scolding for so ti and was thoroughly annoyed. Now, being berated by Yang Qi on top of it all, he was about to explode.

"I don’t know anything about Sun Tianshou. But you are truly a quack, a disgrace to the na of National dicine!" Yang Qi glanced coldly at Liu Changsheng, then turned to Lei Yingying and asked, "Do you believe ?"

Lei Yingying hesitated. In truth, she didn’t believe him. But with no one else able to save her grandfather, she had no choice but to rely on him.

"If you don’t believe , I’ll leave right now. If you do, I’ll return a perfectly healthy grandfather to you," Yang Qi stated calmly.

After a long mont of contemplation, Lei Yingying finally spoke. "Mr. Yang, please save my grandfather! If you can, my Lei Family will reward you handsoly!"

"Fine. For Qingxuan’s sake, I’ll save him," Yang Qi said, taking a deep breath. He looked at Liu Changsheng. "Lend

your silver needles!"

"Hold on!" the doctor in the white coat shouted. "Miss Lei, you can’t let this kid do as he pleases! If the patient dies in our hospital, what will happen to our reputation?"

"Rest assured," Yang Qi declared. "If I can’t cure him, I’ll answer for it with my life!"

I already assessed Lei Qingtian’s condition when I ca in. I’m completely confident I can bring him back from the dead. To , this is just a minor ailnt. Combined with Spiritual Energy, it’ll be a piece of cake.

"Alright, you said it. I’ve got it on recording. If he dies because of you, it has nothing to do with our hospital!" the doctor said coldly.

"Everyone else, leave. Master Liu, Lei Yingying, Zhong Qiang, Lin Qingxuan, and the doctor in the white coat will stay," Yang Qi commanded. The people remaining were either to serve as witnesses or had a part to play.

"Zhong Qiang, guard the door. No one enters until the treatnt is finished," Yang Qi said flatly.

"Here are your silver needles," Liu Changsheng said, handing his needle pouch to Yang Qi. "A practitioner of National dicine who doesn’t even carry his own tools? What kind of doctor are you?"

Clearly, he didn’t believe in Yang Qi, and neither did the other doctor.

Even if my master, Sun Tianshou, were here, he couldn’t save Prefecture Master Lei. This kid is definitely bluffing.

Yang Qi ignored them and began to apply the needles.

This may be my first ti using needles, but with the help of Spiritual Energy, my hand is steadier than that of a practitioner with decades of experience. Still, my technique is a bit strange. It can’t compare to a true master’s form. I’ll need more practice.

"Hmph, I can tell he’s an amateur just by looking. Miss Lei, are you really going to entrust your grandfather’s life to such a novice?" Liu Changsheng said coldly.

"For once, you quack, I agree with you," the other doctor added.

"Both of you, shut up!" Yang Qi snapped. "Speak another word and get out!"

The two n fell silent, not daring to utter another sound. After all, it was common sense not to disturb soone during a dical procedure. Even Western surgical operations required absolute concentration.

As Yang Qi clumsily inserted one silver needle after another into Lei Qingtian’s acupoints, the expression on Liu Changsheng’s face began to change. He realized that while the young man’s movents were awkward, the placent of each needle was flawless. There wasn’t a single error.

Just then, Yang Qi removed the ventilator and began patting Lei Qingtian’s chest.

COUGH!

After more than a dozen pats, Lei Qingtian coughed up a mouthful of thick, black blood.

"What!" Liu Changsheng was even more astounded.

Having essentially completed the treatnt, Yang Qi breathed a sigh of relief. He looked at Liu Changsheng and asked, "Do you understand where you went wrong?"

"The root of the issue wasn’t the heart," Liu Changsheng sighed. "The cardiac problems were rely a symptom. We all misdiagnosed it. Furthermore, the needle I used triggered an acute episode, causing the underlying illness to erupt. It was truly my mistake."

"That’s it?" the doctor in the white coat asked, completely baffled. He didn’t understand any of this.

"It’s done," Yang Qi said calmly. "Remove the needles in half an hour, and he’ll be fine."

"Sir, please accept my profound respect." Liu Changsheng suddenly dropped to one knee.

The sight shocked Lei Yingying. Liu Changsheng was a famous doctor in Kang City, yet he was kneeling to Yang Qi. Lin Qingxuan was equally stunned.

"You don’t need to kneel to ," Yang Qi said, admonishing Liu Changsheng as though he were a seasoned old master. "Your mistake was treating a patient without being certain of the diagnosis. You should only take on cases that are within your level of skill. Don’t be so presumptuous in the future."

The onlookers watched, dumbfounded.

"Changsheng has learned his lesson," Liu Changsheng said, filled with emotion. To think that after practicing dicine for thirty years, he was no match for a young man in his mid-twenties... The feeling was one of true helplessness. The doctor in the white coat remained silent, still lost in shock and confusion.
