Chapter 3: Chapter 3 Everything in Dreams is Real

Lin Qingxuan had been managing the Lin Group since she was sixteen, and to this day, she was hailed as the business queen of Dragon Country. Everything she did, however, was for the Lin Family. She hadn’t built a single connection for herself; instead, she had offended quite a few people. But in the end, her grandfather still treated her that way.

Her heart grew cold.

It was ti to do sothing for herself.

"Miss, the wealthiest man in Kang City and a dozen other local magnates are waiting for you. Do you want to et with them?" Assistant Qin asked.

"Tell them I’m tired!"

Lin Qingxuan was truly exhausted and just wanted to get a good night’s sleep.

「Elsewhere.」

Yang Qi entered an even more mysterious state, finding himself in a place surrounded by lush dicinal Herbs. Waves of their fragrance washed over him, so vivid it felt real.

In the midst of the field of dicinal Herbs stood a figure. Their face was indistinct; all Yang Qi could see was a flash of white robes. The figure turned to look at him. The man carried himself with an elegant, unrestrained air, exuding an immortal-like aura, as if he had transcended the mortal world and stepped beyond the Six Realms.

"An immortal?" Yang Qi exclaid in surprise. This is it. I must be dead, right?

"You aren’t dead," the figure’s voice was ethereal, yet Yang Qi heard it clearly. "However, the fact that you can see

ans you’ve encountered a life-threatening crisis."

"Who are you?" Yang Qi asked with a frown. How does he know I was in danger?

"I’m the one who left that birthmark on you," the man said. "I originally intended for you to live an ordinary life, but alas, I never imagined the secular world would be so dangerous.

"So be it. Since you’ve awakened the Divine Dragon Mark, you should properly cultivate this Dragon God Technique. It encompasses dical Skills, Immortal Technique, witchcraft, Martial Arts, and chanical Techniques from across heaven and earth.

"Cultivate well. If you succeed, perhaps we can et again."

"Are you my father?" Yang Qi trembled, his heart clenching. He couldn’t rember ever seeing his biological parents.

"That’s right!" the man admitted.

"Why did you abandon ? Do you have any idea how much I’ve suffered?" Yang Qi suddenly roared, the indescribable envy he’d always felt watching other children being cherished by their parents boiling over.

"Sigh, so things are better left unknown. Once you have successfully cultivated the Dragon God Technique to a certain level, you’ll naturally have the opportunity to et us. But not now. eting us now would only bring disaster and death upon you.

"Rember, cultivate well. The Lin Family of Jingzhou owes your father a favor. If you find you can’t get by, go to them. With your Pure Yang Body, the Lin Family is sure to value you greatly. By then, wealth and glory will be no problem."

The man sighed, his form growing fainter, nearly vanishing.

"Wait! Stop! I still have so many questions for you!" Yang Qi yelled, but it was futile as the figure disappeared completely.

"Bastard!"

As the man finally vanished, the field of dicinal Herbs dissolved around him. Yang Qi roared in anger. Just then, nine divine dragons shot toward him. He had no ti to dodge. Instantly, countless mories flooded his mind, and he fainted on the spot.

Inside his Dantian, nine fledgling dragons joined head to tail to form a circle, and strange threads of qi began to generate within.

"Don’t go!" he shouted, bolting upright and looking around frantically. "Where is this? Where am I?"

He took in his surroundings. The decor was clearly that of a cheap inn, and he was lying on the bed.

"What’s that?" he wondered, his eyes falling on a splash of crimson on the sheets. He couldn’t help but recall the events of the previous night.

No way... It wasn’t a dream? It was real? But how could such a beautiful woman exist in the real world? She was clearly a Fairy!

Though he’d thought it was a dream, he rembered her face perfectly. His gaze then fell upon a card on the table with a note tucked underneath it.

"Heh, you want

to live in obscurity, but how could I possibly do that?" Yang Qi said with a bitter smile. He had never been one to accept diocrity, and this ti, having suffered such a great humiliation, he swore he would have his revenge.

Getting up to dress, Yang Qi was amazed to find his body brimming with strength. The injuries from his beating were completely healed.

Could the other dream have been real too? He felt even more bewildered. Yet, he could still feel the faint current of qi in his Dantian. It was this very energy that had healed all his injuries—nothing short of a dical miracle. If anyone else found out, they would be scared to death.

He shook his head and pulled the sheet off the bed. The crimson stain on it was his only clue to finding the Fairy from his dream.

As he walked out of the room, he found the innkeeper already waiting outside.

"You two were pretty wild last night," the innkeeper said. "If you’re taking the bedsheet, you’ll have to pay extra."

Yang Qi flushed with embarrassnt. He didn’t have a single cent on him. Left with no choice, he handed the card to the innkeeper. "Put it on this."

The innkeeper’s frosty face eased slightly.

"By the way, do you know the lady’s na?" Yang Qi asked curiously.

"You don’t even know the girl’s na? How would I know? She used your ID to register," the innkeeper said, shaking his head. How co I never get that lucky?

After paying, Yang Qi left the inn and checked a nearby ATM. There was a million in the account.

I have to pay this money back soday, so I can’t spend it. If I need money, I’ll have to get it from Li Qiutong!

With that thought, Yang Qi hailed a cab and headed toward the Li Family estate. He swore he would never let that vile pair, Li Qiutong and Zhang Peng, off the hook.

However, he wasn’t going to the Li Family estate to cause trouble. If he ran into Zhang Peng now, the bodyguards would surely take him down again. He was just going back to get so money; without it, he couldn’t survive.

The Li Family’s grand and imposing mansion had been built with his money.

To think I’d be driven out and nearly killed... What a venomous, heartless woman!

No one was ho today; he had no idea where they’d gone. He stealthily opened the villa’s gate and slipped inside. After rummaging through drawers and cabinets, he found very little cash. That woman had taken all the money from his bank cards and mobile paynt accounts, so he could only look for so physical cash to tide him over.

"Son-in-law?" Suddenly, a voice rang out.

It was Li Qiutong’s father, Li Cheng. He was blind, and though Yang Qi had tried everything he could think of to cure him in the past, nothing had worked.

Yang Qi did not respond.

"I know it’s you," Li Cheng said, his voice tinged with fear, for he knew what his daughter had done. "And I know what happened. Here’s a card. It has twenty thousand on it—all the spending money I’ve managed to save over the years."
