Why is it that only this one person had a problem? Shouldn't they investigate and get the results first?" Li Qingyan was furious. "This is so high-handed!"
"Calm down," Ye Fei said. "A life was lost, so the authorities are taking it seriously. Besides, we're innocent, so we have nothing to fear. Let them investigate. The financial losses are a minor issue. What's important is getting to the bottom of this!"
Just then, a group of people burst into the Qifei Group's conference room.

Ye Fei walked up to the newcors and said, "You must be from the task force. I don't object to an investigation, but barging in so rudely is rather inappropriate, don't you think? Who's in charge here?"
"I am!" The man in the lead stepped forward, his gaze cold as he looked at Ye Fei. "I am Xu Tiancheng, Deputy Commander of the Heavenly Supervision Hall of Jingnan Prefecture! And who are you?"
"So, it's Commander Xu." Ye Fei frowned. I've heard of this Xu Tiancheng. He's like a stern, impartial judge, showing favor to no one. But he's also incredibly arrogant. He considers anything he decides to be correct. You could say he abhors evil, but he's also far too stubborn.
"I am the Chairman and President of the Qifei Group," Ye Fei said.
"I thought you would have fled," Xu Tiancheng said coldly. "I'm surprised you're still here. You knew you couldn't get away, right? From this mont on, all of the Qifei Group's managent must submit to our investigation. Furthermore, we will be confiscating all of your company's records. You are required to cooperate fully!"
"We can cooperate, but you need to present so evidence. Otherwise, please leave," Li Qingyan said coldly. "If you have no proof that our dicine is faulty, we can sue you for colluding with our competitors to fra us! Don't think we'll be intimidated just because you're a task force. This is a society governed by law. You can't just investigate whenever you feel like it!"
Xu Tiancheng frowned. Usually, companies that had made a mistake were terrified. Yet the Qifei Group showed not the slightest fear and argued its case forcefully, which put him on the back foot. They were only here to investigate and could only request cooperation. If the other party refused, they couldn't use force.
"Hmph. So you're claiming your product has no issues?" Xu Tiancheng snorted.
"Of course our product has no issues!" Cao Zhendong stood up and declared. "All of our products undergo rigorous inspection before being sold. Every batch is not only sent to the Elixir dicine Association for testing, but we also conduct our own internal inspections. We can absolutely guarantee our products are safe. We demand an autopsy on the deceased. Furthermore, we want it perford by a third party. We don't trust your task force. "Are you aware of the penalty for slander?" Xu Tiancheng asked coldly.

"Team Leader Xu, after hearing you speak, I'm even more skeptical of your professionalism," Li Qingyan said coldly. "What you're doing is called fabricating a charge. Our company may be young, but we earned that reputation! Only those who have taken our dicine have the right to comnt on it! Us, steal a patent? Could the Kang City Business Alliance even produce dicine this effective? What a joke!"
