Chapter 142: Chapter 142: The Prophecy Ca True

Yang Qi left.

Lei Tingjun’s wife glanced at her son. "Zhen, don’t go out. Just stay put in your room. It’s only for an hour. I want to see how that boy’s prophecy cos true."

"Fine, no problem. I promise I won’t go out," Lei Zhen nodded.

In his room, bored, Lei Zhen began to play video gas. An hour would pass quickly, and he could certainly wait. Worried that Lei Zhen would grow impatient and run out, his mother specifically ordered several bodyguards to stand guard outside the house.

Soon, more than forty minutes had passed, and nothing had happened. Lei Tingjun’s wife ca in to check on the situation.

"Mom, there are only about ten minutes left," Lei Zhen laughed. "I’ve been in the house this whole ti. How could I possibly get into a car accident? Isn’t this a joke?"

"That Yang Qi is just talking nonsense. Staying in a room for an hour, how could you possibly be in a car accident? Even so, you still need to stick it out. Wait until the full hour is up before leaving," the woman reminded him.

"Mom, I know. I’m not a three-year-old. I’m a reserve mber of the Fierce Tiger Team and have undergone strict training. I promise nothing will happen. I can’t wait to see that kid try to talk his way out of this one."

Lei Zhen just wanted to see Yang Qi make a fool of himself. That way, he could openly tell his grandfather, father, and sister that this Yang Qi was a fraud, a complete charlatan.

"He’s just a wandering con man. You don’t have to take him so seriously," the woman said.

"No way. That kid swindled my grandfather out of several hundred million. I’m itching to kill him. After this is over, I’ll definitely find soone to teach him a lesson. I’ll break his arms and legs so he can’t deceive anyone ever again," Lei Zhen declared.

"Suit yourself." The woman didn’t stop him. In her eyes, Yang Qi deserved to die for daring to curse her son.

"But don’t let your grandfather and the others know," she added. "They’re completely taken in by this fraud. They definitely won’t let you touch him."

"Don’t worry, I know," Lei Zhen said, already rubbing his hands together in anticipation.

Fifty minutes had now passed. In less than ten minutes, the prophesied ti would arrive. Lei Zhen stopped playing his ga and stood up, constantly glancing at the ti. He stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, thrilled.

"Haha, an hour has passed! I’m going to find that kid right now," Lei Zhen laughed loudly.

Just then, his mother scread, "Be careful!"

But it was too late. Lei Zhen turned his head in surprise just as a massive black shadow smashed down from the sky. The next mont, it violently shattered the floor-to-ceiling window and crashed down upon him.

No... impossible! Even this can happen? In the instant before he lost consciousness, Lei Zhen was filled with disbelief. Although there’s a road not far behind my room, it gets very little traffic. How could such a freak car accident happen today? A car, knocked airborne by a truck, flew right into my room... and landed on .

The prophecy was fulfilled.

Lei Zhen’s mother was completely stunned. A mont later, she snapped back to her senses. "Quick, get him to the hospital!" she shrieked, nearly collapsing to the ground. How could this have happened? How?!

Several bodyguards pulled Lei Zhen from the wreckage and rushed him to the nearest hospital. At a ti like this, they had no ti to be picky. As she sat in the car, Lei Zhen’s mother’s mind was in chaos. One hour. Exactly one hour. Lei Zhen had been in a car accident. Even when hiding in his room, he still got into a car accident. This was too bizarre.

Impossible. This must be an accident. It has to be. Lei Zhen’s mother refused to believe this was what Yang Qi had prophesied.

Soon, Lei Zhen was rushed into the operating room. The hospital staff knew he was the young master of the Lei Mansion, so all the top experts were called in. But after hours of work, their efforts proved useless. Although they had stopped Lei Zhen’s bleeding, his vital signs were all declining. At this rate, he would eventually die.

"Madam Lei, it’s no use," the ergency doctor said, shaking his head. "Young Master Lei’s injuries are too severe. Our hospital simply can’t handle them."

"Impossible!" Lei Zhen’s mother scread. "You must save him! If he dies, I’ll have you all buried with him!" She was crying so hard she was about to faint. He was her only son, a boy she treated like a precious treasure. If he died, what would she do?

"Madam, maybe we should find that Yang Qi," a bodyguard said timidly. "Perhaps he can save the young master."

Hearing this, Lei Zhen’s mother trembled. Do I really have to find Yang Qi? That would be so humiliating... But he’s my only son. If I don’t go, he’s going to die.

Suddenly, she rembered soone. "That’s right, Master Chen! Why look for Yang Qi? I’ll just call Master Chen and ask him to co over." She hurriedly took out her phone to call him. Her attitude was clear: she would only seek out Yang Qi as an absolute last resort.

Upon hearing the news, Master Chen imdiately rushed over.

Master Chen is the most outstanding doctor in Jingnan Prefecture. With him here, my son will definitely be saved. As for that Yang Qi... there’s no way I’m going to beg him. Lei Zhen’s mother still refused to believe in Yang Qi. To her, a young brat just over twenty years old couldn’t possibly possess such incredible dical skills. Like her son, she only trusted older, more experienced people.

About ten minutes later, Lei Qingtian and the others arrived. After learning what had happened, they were all dumbfounded.

This is a classic case of disaster striking when you least expect it, even in your own ho. The road is at least fifty ters from Zhen’s room, and it usually has very little traffic. Not to ntion, large vehicles are prohibited. How could all these coincidences possibly line up today? This is unreal! Lei Qingtian was flabbergasted.

No kidding. This is insane, Lei Yingying was also stunned. How could sothing so outrageous happen?

"It’s a sha we’re in Thunder City and Mr. Yang isn’t here," Lei Yingying sighed. "Otherwise, Zhen would definitely be fine."

"There’s no need to find that Yang Qi," Lei Zhen’s mother said. "Besides, he’s in Kang City. He wouldn’t make it in ti anyway. I’ve already invited another Divine Doctor."

"Oh? Who is it?" Lei Tingjun asked.

"Master Chen!" his wife replied.

"Ah, if it’s him, then there shouldn’t be a problem," Lei Qingtian and the others said, relieved.

They had no idea that Yang Qi had already arrived in Thunder City. They certainly didn’t know that he was staying in a hotel just a short distance from their ho, not far from this very hospital. If they had known, they surely would have sent for Yang Qi. After all, in the eyes of Lei Qingtian, Lei Tingjun, and Lei Yingying, Yang Qi’s dical skills were unparalleled.

"Master Chen has arrived!" soone outside exclaid.

Master Chen, accompanied by his disciple, walked into the ward.
