"I got it for you, Jules..." Ruby said softly as she walked straight into the bedroom, holding the wrapped bundle gently in both hands like it was sothing sacred.

Julian looked up from where he was sitting on the bed.

His shoulders relaxed.

A long, soft breath escaped him, like soone finally surfacing from underwater. His eyes t hers..moist, quiet, glistening with unknown emotion and in that mont, he didn’t speak.

He didn’t need to.

Ruby could feel it in the way he looked at her.

A silent thank you.

A silent you ca back for .

His eyes... they reminded her of moss after rain, green and soft and shining with life. Sothing in her chest fluttered, her heart skipping, her breath catching...not because of his beauty, but because of the tenderness in his gaze.

So fragile. So real.

Julian slowly reached forward to take the canalwrap bundle, and their fingers brushed for a second. Neither of them spoke, but sothing passed between them.

Sothing wordless.

Sothing that held warmth.

From the corner of the room, Adrian stood silently, leaning against the wall. He hadn’t said a thing when Ruby walked in. He had just been watching.

But now... his eyes lowered slightly. His thoughts were clear.

She isn’t like the other witches.

She hadn’t flinched. She hadn’t wrinkled her nose or avoided Julian out of embarrassnt or disgust. She hadn’t looked down on his condition like it was sothing dirty.

She cared.

Deeply.

And it showed in every movent, every word, every silence she filled with warmth instead of sha.

Adrian’s lips pressed into a thoughtful line.

They’ve changed, he realized.

Julian and Ruby... sothing had blood between them.

And maybe, just maybe, this version of her, the one with fire and softness and unexpected boldness was soone worth watching closely. Soone worth giving a chance to.

🪄

The hotel suite was beautiful spacious, warm, and with two separate bedrooms connected by a common area. After Ruby had helped Julian settle down and made sure he was resting comfortably, it was ti to face the next challenge:

Room-sharing.

Julian was finally resting, quietly settled with his blanket pulled up to his chest, his face calm again.

And now that peace had returned...

A new problem appeared.

Room-sharing.

"I can sleep with wife," Milo said cheerfully, looking up with a bright smile as he hugged a pillow to his chest. "She’s warm."

There was a pause.

Karl stopped mid-step and turned to look at him.

Julian, lying down, opened one eye slowly.

And Adrian glanced away with a subtle flicker in his gaze, lips pressing into a flat line.

No one said anything.

But the air shifted slightly.

Karl didn’t speak just frowned faintly, like Milo had taken the last cookie without asking.

Julian turned his face toward the wall, quietly pretending to rest.

Adrian didn’t look up again.

Milo blinked. "What?"

No one answered him directly.

Ruby walked out of the washroom just then, her hair still damp, towel around her shoulders, and stopped when she saw all four of them just... looking tense.

Their postures stiff.

Their expressions unreadable.

She blinked. "Did I miss sothing?"

No one answered that either.

Ruby sighed and raised a brow. "Okay... we’ll talk about room arrangents later."

She tossed the towel on the chair and stretched her arms a bit.

"For now, let’s go see the car showroom. That’s why we’re here, right?"

The tension vanished like mist.

Milo’s eyes lit up instantly. "Really?! Yay!"

Karl cleared his throat and adjusted his sleeves, casually walking toward the door. "About ti."

Julian sat up, smoothing his robe quietly.

Adrian nodded once and followed.

🪄

The car showroom was large and bright, made almost entirely of smooth infused glass that caught the sunlight and gave the whole building a clean, modern glow. From outside, the cars were already on display, lined neatly on wide platforms, each one looking more polished and expensive than the next.

Ruby walked in first, her steps steady, her expression calm.

Her husbands followed closely behind, their eyes wide with quiet amazent.

The high ceiling, soft lighting, and cool air made everything feel expensive. Every surface shined...floor, glass walls, even the tal edges of the tables. A few well-dressed ghosts sat in waiting chairs. Most of them didn’t even glance up.

Except for one.

A ghost man in a purple robe was sitting near the reception desk, lazily sipping from a glass bottle. When he saw them walk in, he chuckled to himself, eyeing the group.

"Countryside people," he thought smugly. His gaze slid over Karl’s curious glances, Milo’s excitent, Julian’s silence until it stopped on Ruby.

She was standing at the desk now, speaking to the receptionist with a calm, serious tone. She rested one elbow on the counter, her shoulders relaxed. Her white hair was neatly pinned at the back, and her pale skin looked soft under the bright showroom lights. Her red eyes, focused and sharp, didn’t shift even once from the witch assisting her.

And the ghost man watched her too long.

Not just curious but hungry.

His gaze dropped from her eyes to her neck, then lower, taking in every detail like she was sothing on display.

Adrian noticed.

He didn’t speak.

But his brows drew together just slightly.

As Ruby was finishing her conversation at the desk, a young witch in a formal grey uniform walked up to her with a polite smile.

"This way, ma’am," she said, her voice calm but respectful.

Ruby nodded and turned slightly toward her husbands.

She lifted her hand and gave them a small sign to follow.

They understood right away.

Karl straightened his shoulders.

Milo quickly grabbed the edge of Ruby’s sleeves like a baby duck.

Julian walked silently, his hands tucked into his sleeves.

Adrian followed last, his eyes still sharp.

The showroom was even bigger inside. They passed several Victorian cars displayed under soft ceiling lights, each one spotless and smooth. So were large and bold, so were small and sleek. Everything looked new, modern, and expensive.

But Ruby walked forward with confidence.

And behind her, without saying a word, they all followed.
