Rowan clenched his hands, waiting for Ruby’s answer, his heart pounding against his ribs.

He was so nervous, but he couldn’t look away. He needed to know what she would say.

Ruby could feel how nervous they were. She looked around and saw everyone watching her, waiting for her answer. The room was so quiet, you could hear a pin drop. She knew she couldn’t let such talent slip away. A warm smile spread across her face, and she finally said, "Congratulations! You got the job!"

"Oh my goodness!" Elias shouted, his voice full of joy and excitent. He couldn’t hold back his emotions. He rushed over to Rowan and hugged him tightly. Rowan hugged him back, both of them smiling so wide it felt like their faces might split.

"Thank you, Miss Ruby!!" they both said at the sa ti, their voices filled with gratitude. They looked at her with so much appreciation, it was like she had given them the whole world.

Ethan, being a widowed ghost himself, understood their struggles better than anyone. He had been lucky—his wife had left behind a small shop and had taught him everything before she passed away. But now, as he thought of her, a deep ache settled in his heart. He missed her.

Rowan, still buzzing with excitent, turned to Ruby and asked, "Miss Ruby, can you tell us where we can start working? Or when?" He was ready to jump right in, eager to begin this new Chapter of their life.

Ruby took a deep breath and said, "It will take about a week for to get everything sorted out. I need to buy so space first, so for now, all I can say is that you both can work from ho." She sighed softly, knowing it wasn’t the ideal situation, but it was the best she could do for now. "However," she continued, "I need all my work completed on ti. I’ll give you a deadline of one week, and by then, you must finish your tasks. Your salary will be 10 coins per day." She paused, then added, "Once I buy a proper place, you’ll have to work there instead of from ho."

Rowan and Eilas perked up at that. Ten coins a day was more than they had expected. It wasn’t extravagant, but it was enough—Enough to buy food, repair their house, and set aside a little for Nono’s future schooling.

Then Ruby turned to Ethan, her expression softening. "And Ethan, I hope you can provide them with the fabric and other necessary things for the week. I have so designs ready, and I’ll give them to you. They’ll need to create the designs exactly as I’ve planned."

Ethan, who had been quietly absorbing everything, straightened up, understanding what she needed from him. "Of course. I’ll make sure they have everything they need."

Finally, Ruby looked back at Rowan and Elias, her eyes serious but kind. "I’m trusting you both with my designs," she said firmly. "And I don’t like betrayal. This is very important to ."

A brief silence filled the air. Rowan and Eilas imdiately straightened, their faces turning solemn.

"Miss Ruby, you can trust us," they said together, their voices steady and full of promise. They ant every word. They were ready to prove themselves and show her that she had made the right choice.

After discussing everything, Ruby inford them that they would sign a contract later once she found a good lawyer. It was important to have everything legally settled, especially since she was entrusting them with her designs and future business.

With that, it was ti to bid farewell.

Just as they were about to leave, the babies woke up, their soft murmurs filling the room.

Eilas’ baby, Nono, stirred in his arms, blinking sleepily. His tiny hands clutched onto Eilas’ clothes as he adjusted to his surroundings.

She smiled warmly at the little one and gently ruffled his soft hair. "Hey there, little one," she said softly, her heart lting at the sight of his big, curious eyes.

Nono, who looked around two or three years old, stared up at her with big, round eyes, wide and curious. But the mont he realized she was a stranger, he quickly buried his face into Eilas’ chest, his small hands gripping onto his father’s robe fabric tightly.

Eilas chuckled awkwardly, patting his son’s back. "Sorry about Nono, he gets shy around new people," he said in an apologetic tone.

Ruby laughed softly. "It’s alright. He’s cute."

Hearing her voice, Nono peeked up just a little, his tiny fingers still gripping Eilas’ clothes.

Ethan, watching the interaction, smiled as well. He was grateful that things had worked out for his friends..

And Leo’s face lit up with joy when he saw his pretty sister.

Ruby smiled and reached out, gently pulling his cheeks. "Aww, look at you, all happy to see !" she teased playfully.

Finally, after making sure they had all of Ruby’s designs, they bid farewell and headed out.

Finally, after they received Ruby’s designs, it was ti to bid farewell.

Of course, had made two copies of the designs—one for them and one for herself. It had taken a lot of hard work, but she knew she had to protect her ideas. Even though Rowan and Elias seed honest and kind, she couldn’t fully trust people she had just t. After all, her designs were precious to her, and she had to think about copyright and keeping her work safe.

"It’d be nice if I had a printing machine," Ruby muttered to herself as she watched them leave. It would save her so much ti instead of having to make manual copies of everything.

For now, though, she had to work with what she had.

After they left, Ruby stretched her arms and let out a small sigh. Finally, so peace. She grabbed her robe and headed to freshen up. The warm water against her skin relaxed her, washing away the morning’s discussions.

When she stepped out of the washroom, her damp white hair cascading over her shoulders, her stomach grumbled loudly. She placed a hand over her belly, sighing. Hungry again.

But before she could even think about making sothing, her eyes softened at the sight before her.
