Chapter 796: Chapter 796: Targeting Floating Fish

Zhao Guang carefully reviewed the various introductions of the Floating Fish, but the first thing was the hundred thods of preparing Floating Fish.

That’s right, once it was discovered, it essentially ant that a delicacy hot spot had been found.

Speaking of which, the value of Floating Fish was quite high, such that even the nobles couldn’t often afford to eat it. Moreover, Floating Fish could fly, were very fast and agile, and had strong hiding abilities, making them difficult for ordinary people to catch.

When it ca to breeding, Floating Fish weren’t so easy to nurture because they were difficult to control.

Or rather, they couldn’t be controlled by ordinary ans and required so special contracts.

However, if these contracts were also factored into the cost, then the expense would be too great. Therefore, no one in the entire Chirali Empire bred them, although it was said that the Royal Family of the Klein Empire had bred so.

Only at large national banquets could one see the presence of Floating Fish.

But for Zhao Guang, these creatures weren’t ant for eating; they were intended to be used as flying mounts.

Floating Fish themselves looked akin to large flounders, with a tail like that of a devil fish on their backs. When flying in the air, as long as there wasn’t violent rolling, it was very stable.

In other words, they didn’t even require a base to stand on them.

As for speed, the Floating Fish wasn’t as fast as a Griffin but was inherently more agile.

But in terms of carrying capacity, the Floating Fish far exceeded the Griffin. A Griffin carrying a fully armored Soldier might not fly as fast as the Floating Fish.

Even if a Floating Fish carried two to three tis its weight, its own speed wouldn’t slow down much.

All these facts were recorded in books, but it was unknown who had conducted the research.

“The problem of control is not an issue, I can use spiritual control, and later research a bloodline thod of control. Then, I’ll be able to control them generation after generation,” Zhao Guang murmured to himself.

“The cost of breeding isn’t much either; there are comprehensive requirents for the breeding of Floating Fish listed here,” he added.

Zhao Guang shook the book, which he wasn’t sure was a recipe book or a record, at the others and said,

“So, our target is the Floating Fish then?”

Zhao Guang nodded, “That’s right, that’s the thing; so I’m setting off now, to bring them back as soon as possible.” If he didn’t take matters into his own hands in his own territory, it was going to be a challenge to round up these Floating Fish.

There was no helping it; when it ca to spiritual control, he was the most skilled, and no one else was up to the task.

“I’ll go too,” Xi Fei suddenly spoke up.

“Let do it. We can also bring back so Flying Dragons along the way. Didn’t the master say it’s hard to get many Flying Dragons? We can accumulate them little by little. Now, we can afford to breed a small number of Flying Dragons,” Sephidya suddenly interjected, with fiery sparks seeming to shimr in her eyes as she glared at Xi Fei.

The reason was simple: the last ti the master was playing with Xi Fei and the others, Sephidya had been taken back.

Though Sephidya was young, she had many such mories in her inherited knowledge, so of course, she knew what they were doing. For Sephidya, being the master’s dragon was natural and expected.

So it must be because of this Enchantress, otherwise why would the master retract himself.

Zhao Guang nodded lightly upon hearing this, “You’re right, that’s exactly it. This ti, you go. Xi Fei, you keep watching the house.” Zhao Guang couldn’t guarantee with certainty that nothing would happen at his ho.

If there wasn’t a super professional to watch the house, what should he do if sothing happened?

Starting over with the family business was possible, but the death of certain important individuals ant everything was lost.

Although Xi Fei was sowhat displeased, in the end, she nodded. At her core, Xi Fei was a person who tended to be submissive and good at following orders, completely different from the likes of Sephidya who ca from the Dragon Clan.

After the decision was made, Zhao Guang promptly set off with Sephidya.

As for the affairs of his territory, there wasn’t much to explain; after all, he didn’t normally have to do much, being engaged in research most of the ti. By now, most matters had little to do with Zhao Guang.

It was only when Zhao Guang issued orders or brought new things that he needed others to cooperate.

However, the experience Sephidya had imagined of flying with her master wasn’t realized, as she was directly retracted again. Zhao Guang used long-distance Instant Teleportation, a thod far faster than flying.

In no ti at all, when Sephidya was released once more, the two had already arrived at the coast.

This ti, their location was north of where the two Storm Dragons were last ti, a place beyond the range of Plague Swamp. These regions should have been freezing all year round, but here there was a distinct beach.

For so unknown reason, there was a large concentration of Fire Elent here with an active volcano nearby.

As a result, the area remained warm year-round, which was very suitable for human habitation.

“I see, I was wondering why the reports always ntioned Floating Fish here all year round. So this is a breeding ground for Floating Fish. I wonder if I could hatch my own if I brought back so fish eggs.”

Floating Fish belonged to the Magic Beasts category, and they didn’t rely on wings to fly but a natural Magic.

At this mont, Zhao Guang had already spotted so Floating Fish lingering in the area.

What irritated Zhao Guang, though, was the clear presence of people waiting around. So were on land, and others at sea, directly waiting on boats. They hadn’t made a move yet because there were too few Floating Fish.

When there were more Floating Fish, these people would start hunting, and most of the fish would flee the area.

If he let these fellows cause chaos, it would be troubleso later on.

“Master, I’ll go kill them,” stated Sephidya, her pupils narrowing. Being of the Dragon Clan, she concerned herself with the survival of other lower races only insofar as it affected her master.

If they interfered with her master, annihilating them was fine. In the mindset of the Dragon Clan, this was not a bad thing.

Zhao Guang quickly held back Sephidya, “No need, if you act, your Dragon Power will scare these Floating Fish away.” Floating Fish, having no ans of attack, relied entirely on their escape chanisms for survival.

Any slight danger prompted them to flee at once, not to ntion the Dragon Clan, apex predators of the food chain.

With Zhao Guang holding her back, Sephidya eventually managed to restrain her burgeoning aura.

At no ti should she interfere with what her master was doing – this was the most important duty of a pet. Yet looking at the people around, it was indeed hard to stomach.
