"Xiao Yu shouldn’t either! Xiao Yu, don’t listen to him. If you’re sick, you need to take dicine right away; otherwise, what would you do if a minor illness turns into a serious one?"
"Uncle Zhang, I’m educating Xiao Yu here. What are you ddling for?"
"Educating what? You think reading a few articles makes you an expert? There’s a lot of unreliable stuff on the internet. Oh, you don’t need dicine for a cold, then what’s the point of cold dicine?"
"You only know what happens, not why it happens. We’re no longer in an era of treating only where it hurts. We need to establish a more scientific worldview for this generation’s children!"
"Oh? So you’re teaching kids not to take dicine when they have a cold? That’s just foolish!"
"Uncle Zhang, your thinking is too traditional. Our educational philosophy needs to keep up with the tis!"
"You’re talking to about educational philosophy? Weren’t you brought up under the old generation’s educational philosophy? Has it twisted you in any way?"
"Elder Zhang, why are you personally attacking ? I’m discussing the matter at hand."
"I see you as leading the children astray!"
"You’re delaying the rise of human civilization!"
"I think you’re the one poisoning the future of humanity!"
"..."
Xiao Yu, with her chin propped up, watched with a grin as the two suddenly went from a heated debate about whether to take dicine for a cold to how children should be raised.
They sure are on good terms...
Huh? What’s this?
Xiao Yu noticed so papers sticking out of ng Lang’s ssenger bag hanging on the seat in front, looking like a painting.
The uncle likes this sort of thing?
Seeing the two still squabbling endlessly, she couldn’t help taking them out, looking them over with interest...
...
Half an hour later, at Xijing Bay.
"Alright, everyone, please get off the bus. We are currently at the parking lot entrance of the scenic area. You are free to explore on your own and we will et back here at three in the afternoon."
"Let’s go, let’s go! We need to head to the flower sea right away; it’s a must-visit hotspot."
"Where’s Sakura Avenue? We should go there for photos."
"I want to swing on the swings!"
"Xiao Bao, don’t run! Wait for mommy!"
People from the two buses sward out, a noisy crowd heading toward the entrance of the scenic area.
ng Lang, still in a stare-off with Elder Zhang, followed the throng forward.
But no sooner had they reached the entrance to the scenic area than ng Lang and Xiao Yu were stopped in their tracks.
At the entrance stood a familiar figure, scanning each and every tourist that ca in.
She was dressed in sportswear and sneakers, sporting large sunglasses, but her long, slender legs were as unmistakable as fireflies in the night, capturing many admiring glances.
She was searching when suddenly, spotting ng Lang and Lin Xiaoyu, her eyes lit up, and the corners of her mouth curved into a smile as she approached them.
"Sister Weiwei!"
"Yan Weiwei? What are you doing here?" ng Lang exclaid in surprise.
"Why am I here? Didn’t I tell you in my Feixin ssage?" Yan Weiwei tilted her chin up slightly.
"You... said so?"
ng Lang, puzzled, took out his phone. There were no new ssages. Had he missed sothing?
He scrolled through his ssages with Yan Weiwei.
[ng, don’t think I don’t know what you’re plotting. Just you wait! (╬ ̄皿 ̄) ]
ng Lang: "..."
"Just you wait" turned out to be quite literal?!
"Hmph! Xiao Yu! Let’s go! Sister here will take you out for fun today!"
Yan Weiwei snorted and walked into the scenic area, pulling along Xiao Yu without a second glance.
ng Lang was montarily speechless.
He had been ready to nurture hope for the future, and here he was facing a persistent arguer.
Now, just off the bus, his class had been hijacked by the PE teacher!
Looking at Yan Weiwei’s tall figure, Elder Zhang suddenly realized.
Sister? Is this the fabled "South Wall"?
He couldn’t resist patting ng Lang on the shoulder.
"Good eye! Don’t worry about bruises, just as long as you don’t crack your skull. Just keep going and don’t stop!"
With that, he casually strode through the gates of the scenic area.
"Youth is wonderful..."
ng Lang: "..."
...
Xijing Bay, located at North Taihu, is a new scenic spot that had just opened last year. It features flower fields, tea gardens, Sakura Avenue, and is known as the "Hokkaido of Su City."
"Wow!" Looking at the vast expanse of flowers in front of them, Xiao Yu and Yan Weiwei’s eyes sparkled with delight.
In the field of flowers, plum blossoms were serene, magnolias blood, and crabapple flowers blossod, each standing tall and releasing the scent of spring. Not far off, petals danced along Sakura Avenue.
Won, young and old, always find it hard to resist such a romantic and beautiful scene.
"Xiao Yu, co take a photo, here, stand right here, perfect, now smile! Click!"
"Hey you! Co over here and take a picture of us!"
ng Lang walked over with a smile, took the phone, and captured the beaming smiles of the duo among the flowers.
"That’s good, Little ngzi, you can go now."
ng Lang rolled his eyes, spread his hands in resignation to the giggling Xiao Yu, and carried their belongings up a small hill.
He found a patch of grass and sat down right there.
The view from here was wonderful, with almost half of Xijing Bay in sight.
In the distance, Uncle Zhang and so colleagues strolled leisurely around, chatting and laughing like a group of retirees.
The insurance company ng Lang worked for would have team-building activities, not just once a year, but sotis several tis a month.
The forms these team-building events took varied, including but not limited to house parties, travel, and other outings.
Unlike regular companies that held such activities to enhance team cohesion, the primary goal for insurance companies was retention.
First, it was to help newcors integrate quickly, and second, to keep veterans from leaving by creating repeated opportunities for socializing and fun, which would beco a set of psychological ties.
