Qin Chu nodded and put the stuff on the table.
He sat on Huo Mian’s chair.
Rick pulled up a chair and sat opposite to Qin Chu.
Huo Mian had left South Side a long ti ago, so the office didn’t technically belong to her.
However, the office seed to not have changed one bit. After Huo Mian left, nobody took over.
Everyone seed like they wanted to wait for Vice Director Huo to return.
Qin Chu got the key from sowhere and the two snuck in during the middle of the night.
“Are you sure this is fine? If sobody sees us, that wouldn’t be good...”
Rick was worried about an awkward situation like that occurring.
“Don’t worry, this is already mine.”
“What do you an?” Rick was confused.
“Mmm, I already bought South Side.”
Rick was speechless...
“Why would you do that?” Rick didn’t understand; Qin Chu wasn’t in need of money and had businesses in almost every industry. Why would he buy a hospital?
“Mmm, I planned to gift it to Mian.”
“Okay, you can do anything with your money,” Rick laughed.
Qin Chu was rarely impulsive, but if he got to that point, normal people couldn’t understand his intentions.
“So call and tell her now, she must be very happy.” Rick didn’t know about Huo Mian being switched, and Qin Chu didn’t ntion it.
“No hurry. Right, how’s the investigation going? Anything about Lu Yan?”
Qin Chu changed the topic and asked about Lu Yan.
“Not yet, but there’s news going around that Lu Yan is dead and Qiao Fei took over for her... After Qiao Fei succeeded her position, he stopped taking jobs. “Qiao Fei doesn’t care about that, he only cares if Yan can return safely.” Qin Chu knew what Qiao Fei was like despite the few tis they’ve t. However, he trusted his judgent.
“I feel like the man Lu Yan likes would not take advantage of the situation...”
“I’m just hoping for news about Yan, I need her,” Qin Chu said.
“Are you in contact with your father-in-law yet?” Rick suddenly asked.
Qin Chu shook his head...
“Did you choose a na for your daughter yet?”
“Mhm, Nie Jin. Her English na will be Christine.”
“Nie Jin? Great na, did you pick it?” Qin Chu looked at Rick.
“No, how could I? Xixi picked it.”
“Mhm, it sounds good.”
“Chu... Let it go, I know you don’t feel good...” Rick didn’t know how to comfort people, so he didn’t know what to say.
“Mhm, let’s stop bringing it up. Co, let’s drink.”
Just like that, the two n hid in the office of the Vice Director of South Side’s neurology departnt.
Qin Chu didn’t buy a lot of alcohol, he was tipsy after four or five bottles because of his low mood.
Rick felt a little dizzy too, and Xixi called him after waking up in the middle of the night.
So, he stumbled out...
After Rick left, Qin Chu fell asleep on Huo Mian’s desk...
Then, he had a very magical dream...
