“Tiantian...” Shen Mingxi felt bad.
“Uncle Shen, I read the papers on your desk and know you’re choosing a school for , both in and out of the country. They are expensive schools with good environnts. I know you want to send to a boarding school; I can’t stay by your side, Uncle Shen.”
Shen Mingxi didn’t know what to say because she was right.
After dealing with Huo Yanyan, he had been thinking of how to handle Tiantian.
If it was in the past, he’d probably have insisted on keeping the child by his side; after all, raising a child wasn’t a burden to him.
But Wei Ying had announced that she wanted to remarry him, and the Wei Family’s only request was that he dealt with Huo Yanyan’s child.
Shen Mingxi admitted that he was selfish and wanted to marry Wei Ying. Besides, he didn’t like facing Tiantian after Huo Yanyan’s death.
So, he had been considering sending her to a school in the States, England, Canada, or Japan.
But after her previous experience in Singapore, he was worried that the child wouldn’t be able to adapt to a school in a foreign country.
He had been considering the options and was surprised that Tiantian brought it up herself.
“Uncle Shen, I understand you and Aunt Wei Ying’s situation... I truly understand. But I have a request for you; please don’t send to a foreign country. I don’t like to go to a place with a different language. The people in Europe have different skin colors and I can’t make friends with kids over there. I want to stay in China. I want to go to Jing City. I read about so schools and like the Jing City Normal University Affiliated Primary School. It’s a boarding school with inclusive managent and it has classes even in the winter and sumr vacations. The fees are expensive but a school in a foreign country isn’t cheap, either. Jing City is our capital and not far from ho. I’ll study hard and repay Uncle Shen’s kindness to when I grow up.”
The child spoke so many words in one breath, showing that she had prepared them for a long ti.
Hearing her request, not only Shen Mingxi but Wei Ying felt sad.
Wei Ying felt responsible for causing the child to leave.
Although her mom was a bad woman, they couldn’t make the kid take the consequences of her mother’s behavior.
Wei Ying’s heart ached.
“Mingxi, maybe we can let Tiantian live with us. She’ll have the housemaid to take care of her and it’s easier for her to go to school here... I’ll convince my family. My dad and brother are not people with stone hearts. We’ll figure out a way.” Wei Ying softened and didn’t bear to get rid of a child she thought was innocent.
However, Tiantian said imdiately, “Aunt Wei Ying, please don’t worry about . I know that if I don’t go, your family won’t let you remarry Uncle Shen. I don’t want to stand in the way of your happiness. I’ll just go to a school in another city; it’s not like I’ll never return, right? Besides, you’ll pay my school fees and living expenditures, so I’ll have a good life... But... I’m worried that my mom will harass you again after I’m gone...”
As Tiantian ntioned her mom again, Wei Ying and Shen Mingxi felt bad because they thought the child didn’t know about her mother’s death.
