After reporting to the commander, Zeng Rou strolled around the hospital, inad vertently bumping into Huo Mian.
“Mian…”
“You look to be in pretty good shape today.”
“Yeah, I’ve been doing great in physiotherapy. My leg doesn’t hurt anymore so I’m feeling better. You, on the other hand, look kind of colorless. Are you feeling okay?”
“No, maybe I’m just tired.” Huo Mian squeezed out a smile.
“Su Yu was here this afternoon?”
“You’re very well inford.” Huo Mian continued to smile at Zeng Rou.
“Oh, I heard it from a nurse. I didn’t see him.”
“Yeah, he was here.”
“He’s usually quite generous. What did he give you this year?”
“Nothing. I’m not accepting any gifts this year. We’re all just getting together for so food.”
Because Zeng Rou wasn’t included in the Wechat group, she didn’t see Huo Mian’s ssage about not accepting gifts.
“Oh, I see… well this is awkward. I’ve prepared this for you.”
Zeng Rou took out a beautifully packaged gift.
The logo was enough to show that it was Gucci’s hottest honey bee bag. Delicate and exquisite, it definitely cost tens of thousands of yuan.

Zeng Rou’s question was incredibly calculated. She knew that the party invitations were sent out by Qin Chu. He was the one who created the guest list and she was not included.
Because it was an intimate gathering, Qin Chu felt defensive towards Zeng Rou.
Huo Mian knew that Su Yu would bring Han Yueyao so she ntioned it to the girl.
As for Zeng Rou… truthfully speaking, if the woman didn’t ask, Huo Mian wouldn’t have invited her.
She was planning to just exchange pleasantries…

“I trust you.” Huo Mian smiled and left with the rest of the doctors and nurses for the eting room.
Zeng Rou flashed a aningful smile.
She wondered… who would be the first mystery guest that night?
Huo Mian’s younger sister, Lu Yan? Or maybe… maybe Ian would appear?
After she got off work, Han Yueyao stood at the building entrance and sent Su Yu a ssage.
“President Su, I’m off work. Where’s your car?”
“Take the cab here.”
“What?! Didn’t you say that we’re leaving together?”
“Sothing suddenly ca up and I had to leave. I can’t go back to the company. Too much traffic,” Su Yu deliberately said.
“I can take the cab, but will you compensate for my ride?” Han Yueyao asked matter-of-factly.
