“It’s natural for you to feel pity for him. After all, you’re a doctor and kind in nature.”
“A Saint Teresa as those people call ?” Huo Mian chuckled.
“The people who always put a tag on others are truly vicious. Don’t believe the nonsense on the internet.” Qin Chu flicked her head lovingly.
“I was just afraid that you’d get the wrong idea,” Huo Mian said.
“Please trust your husband’s judgnt…”
“Okay. I feel better now.”
Then sothing occurred to her and she asked, “Honey, do you think Yan had a fight with her boyfriend?”
“Um…”
“Tell . I’m worried. The girl has been here for so ti now but has never ntioned Qiao Fei. I think that boy is good.”
Huo Mian trusted her judgnt with people. She had seen Qiao Fei only a few tis but could see he was absolutely in love with Yan.
“I’m not sure if they had a fight. But Lu Yan is always mysterious with her business. I think he might be on so mission.”
“On a mission…” Huo Mian murmured to herself wonderingly.
“Don’t worry about Lu Yan. With her personality, she could even fly to space in a spaceship if Earth was destroyed.”
“Hahaha! Honey, you dissed my sister again.” Huo Mian laughed.
They talked while taking a walk after supper. Huo Mian liked this ordinary life.
Probably because they had gone through so many difficulties and so much pain, she cherished everything she had today.
In the twin’s room, Lu Yan was playing mobile gas with the twins, each holding a cellphone.
Gaining several victories in a row, Lu Yan put down her cellphone. “Girls, let take a break, okay?”
“Okay. Auntie, I’ll go and get a popsicle for you.”
“Thank you, Little Bean.”
Little Bean dashed downstairs imdiately.
“Auntie, don’t be touched by it. She’s using you as a shield since our mom doesn’t allow her to eat popsicles before bed.”
“I see. This kid is very smart.” Lu Yan chuckled.
“Auntie, how long will you stay here?” Pudding asked suddenly.
“Why do you ask?”
“I just feel insecure. You co and go so mysteriously. Our auntie went to the U.S. but still keeps in touch with us. But when you’re gone, even Mom can’t contact you… So, I truly don’t want you to leave us,” Pudding said with lancholy.
Kids were fragile emotionally. After staying with Lu Yan all day long, Pudding and Little Bean liked her very much.
Lu Yan spoilt the kids, even more than their grandparents did.
She’d satisfy all their requests, which was why Pudding and Little Bean loved this mysterious auntie so much.
Before Lu Yan even ntioned leaving, Pudding tried to make her stay.
“Your words make sad.”
“Auntie, where do you live? When winter vacation cos, can Little Bean and I visit you?” An idea dawned on Pudding.
Their aunt Qin Ning lived in the U.S. and they had visited her and had a good ti.
Pudding had heard from her mom that her auntie Lu Yan lived abroad too, so she asked if she could visit Lu Yan at her ho.
“Um… This… um…” Despite her quick thinking, Lu Yan didn’t know how to answer Pudding.
“Auntie, you don’t want us to visit you?” Seeing her auntie’s hesitation, Pudding pouted sulkily.
