“This again?” Qin Chu smiled in resignation.

Huo Mian had used this antic on Qin Chu many tis and had never failed.

“Then I’m going to tell you now…” Huo Mian didn’t dare to look at Qin Chu’s eyes.

“I went to the First Hospital this afternoon.”

“Huo Siqian had an operation there.”
“What happened to him?” Qin Chu wasn’t surprised that Huo Siqian had an operation; he knew Huo Siqian was capable of anything.
“He pierced his eardrum with a small stick in the prison.”
“Oh? What happened later?” Qin Chu still looked calm.
“Then Gao Ran’s n sent him to the hospital. But he refused to have the surgery unless… he could see .”
Huo Mian’s voice turned smaller since she felt guilty.
“So, you went to the hospital because of this?”
“Yeah. I stayed in the OR until it finished,” Huo Mian told him everything.
“How is he now?”
“He’s out of danger but his hearing will be impacted in the future.”
“Okay.” Qin Chu nodded but didn’t say more.
“Honey, are you mad?”
“Why would I be mad?”
“Because I helped him. He’s our enemy and I shouldn’t have softened my heart,” Huo Mian repented.
“No, you did the right thing. He’s not supposed to die right now.”
“I know he did many things to harm our family, especially you. His psychotic obsession with must be a thorn in your heart. I know I shouldn’t have done that, but… Honey, my feelings are complicated when I face Huo Siqian. Despite his many horrendous cris, I… don’t want him to die like this…” Huo Mian couldn’t explain what she felt and was frustrated about it.

“I won’t lower myself and be mad with a ntally-diseased man. You must trust your husband on this point. I don’t want you to see Huo Siqian not because I’m jealous of him but that he’s a dangerous man. You’re pregnant and I’m concerned for your safety,” explained Qin Chu.
“I know. Honey, you’re so aweso. I truly think no one can understand another’s unsaid words, but you can understand my hesitation before I can say anything…”
“Because I’m your husband.” Qin Chu smiled.
While they expressed their love for each other in the office, Su Yu had just returned ho.
The mont he got out of his car, he was stupefied because he saw a military green tent had actually been erected right in front of his house.
“Fu*k! What the heck?” Su Yu had never seen anyone who would be so bold as to erect a tent in front of his house; the person was playing with fire!
