“I an I can’t unlock you now…”
“You… How can you go back on your words?” Jack was angry.
“Go back on my words? No. I didn’t promise I’d unlock you… So, I didn’t go back on my words,” Huo Mian answered calmly.
“You stupid bit*h… You even give up your only chance to escape from the island.” Jack gritted his teeth and stared at Huo Mian’s face with a cold look in his eyes.
Huo Siqian had never looked at her in this way.
“Don’t say that… Because I’m not stupid, I see the situation clearly. Indeed, I dislike Huo Siqian, but Jack… You send chills down my spine.”
Huo Mian knew the answer now. She’d rather give up the opportunity to escape than believe Jack’s words.
In their previous encounters, this man had been a maniac.
Comparatively, Huo Siqian could at least ensure her safety despite her dislike of him.
“Well… Then you will live the rest of your life on the island…” Jack sneered.
“I’m curious. Since you share mories with Huo Siqian, you should know where the key is, right?” Huo Mian asked tentatively.
“You want to get words out of ?”
“Of course not. If you want to get you out, you must tell where the key is, right?” Huo Mian smiled.
“Why should I believe you when you don’t even want to unlock ? Do you think I’ll tell you where the key is?” Jack seed angry with Huo Mian.
“Okay. Then our negotiation is over. You can stay here.”
That said, Huo Mian turned to leave.
“Huo Mian, if I die, you’d be in trouble too, because Huo Siqian would be dead,” Jack said hurriedly.
Huo Mian looked back and chuckled. “That’s good, it’ll be killing two birds with one stone. Both you and Huo Siqian are my mortal enemies.”
“But if we die, his n will find their boss dead when they co to deliver provisions. Then, they would send you down to the underworld to keep company.” Jack smiled sinisterly.
“Do you think I’m afraid of death?” Huo Mian found Jack’s words ridiculous.
“Of course, you’re not. But how about the baby in your belly? Do you really want your baby to die with you before he has a chance to see the world?”
Huo Mian’s expression changed a little upon hearing this.
It seed Huo Siqian and Jack indeed shared a mory.
Jack even knew about her pregnancy.
“It seems you’re the person who’s at the disadvantage. Think about it.”
That said, Huo Mian turned and left without looking back.
“Co back! Bit*h!” Jack cursed frantically, but Huo Mian didn’t look back.
Was she going to starve this fellow?
No. Huo Mian wouldn’t do that; she’d send him food each day to keep him alive.
At least right now, she couldn’t let Huo Siqian die because she didn’t want to die here with him…
Climbing out of the cellar, Huo Mian breathed in the fresh air and suddenly felt it was good to be alive.
After she cald down, she thought of an important thing.
It must be Huo Siqian who had locked Jack in the basent.
But, why did he do that?
From what she knew about Huo Siqan, she guessed he had had the feeling that his other personality would co out soon and thus locked himself before that happened.
If so, to prevent Jack from escaping, he couldn’t have left the key in the basent.
Huo Mian knew very well that no matter how evil Huo Siqian was, he’d never harm her; but Jack could kill her anyti without hesitation.
At this thought, Huo Mian hurried back to the cottage and began searching through the things left by Huo Siqian.
Suddenly, an old-fashioned cellphone slipped from one of the pockets of Huo Siqian’s clothes.
As if she had discovered a new continent, Huo Mian was elated.
