“Huo Mian, why are you here?” Gao Ran was taken aback.
“Gao Ran, I want to see Su Yu.” Huo Mian looked worried.
Gao Ran looked around and seeing no one around, he lowered his voice. “Co with first.”
Huo Mian nodded and followed Gao Ran into his office.
“Sit,” Gao Ran said.
“What do you want to drink?” he asked.
“I don’t want anything to drink. Gao Ran, how is the case being handled?” Huo Mian asked.
“The victim reported the cri and we’re gathering evidence.”
“Is there any evidence?”
“Yes, there’s a fruit knife and Su Yu’s fingerprints are on it. Plus, when Liu Ze was attacked, Su Yu was there. It was at Liu Ze’s ho too so it’s considered a ho intrusion. Quite a few people from your work saw them so they’re all considered witnesses. Liu Ze sustained serious injuries... I heard that his wrist tendons are torn right?”
“Yes.” Huo Mian nodded.
“So, Liu Ze’s lawyer has asked the police to charge Su Yu with aggravated assault.”
“What... will happen?” Huo Mian was anxious.
“If the charges stick, he’ll go to prison. With the huge pressure from the dia, I’m not sure if the Su Family can get him out of this one. Liu Ze might seem like a regular doctor but many of his relatives work in the provincial parliant... and they’re up there in rank. So this ti, he’s really in trouble.”
“Su Yu wouldn’t do sothing like that,” Huo Mian explained.
“I know, but there’s nothing I can do. Although I’m the chief, I need to follow the evidence.”
“Then... can you let see Su Yu?”
“That, I can do, but it has to be a short visit. 10 minutes, is that okay?” Gao Ran felt guilty.
After the incident occurred, soone leaked the information to the public and so others are using it to rile up the dia to push their own agendas.
So, even as the chief of police, Gao Ran couldn’t do anything to. He had to make sure to do things by the books.
Otherwise, the dia would have a reason to talk.
“Yes, 10 minutes is enough. Oh right, has anyone from the Su Family co here yet?”

It pained Huo Mian to see him sitting there so quietly. It was as if he’s resting his eyes.
Gao Ran opened the door and reminded again, “Huo Mian, rember only 10 minutes.”
“I know, don’t worry,” Huo Mian assured Gao Ran.
She then entered the holding cell...
“I don’t want to eat. Take it away.” Su Yu had his eyes closed thinking it was the police delivering his al.
“There’s nothing to eat even if you wanted food. I rushed over here and didn’t buy you anything.” Huo Mian smiled. At the sound of the familiar voice, Su Yu opened his eyes in delight...
