“What’s the matter, Mingxi? Is everything alright?” Huo Yanyan looked very uncomfortable.
“You knew that a long ti ago, no?”
“It’s all in the past. Is it that important right now?” Huo Yanyan couldn’t bear to look him in the eye.

“Mingxi, what has gotten into you? Did soone say sothing to you or is Wei Ying investigating again?” “Nothing...”
“Oh my god, there’s a wound on your face. Did you get into a fight?” Huo Yanyan went over acting shocked and worried but before she could touch Shen Mingxi, he pushed her away.
Shen Mingxi had lost his bro Su Yu. Not to ntion the business interest and opportunities that were lost, he lost soone that he had been close friends with for many years. It had taken him great effort to maintain his relationship with Su Yu and now it all went down the drain. He did not know how much Huo Mian ant to Su Yu.
Su Yu’s mood was still bad after leaving the private club so he went back to his private mansion. He slept through the night and went to work the next morning.
-At the headquarters of the GK Corporation –
Qin Chu noticed that his assistant Yang was not there when he arrived. Usually, Yang was there before him.
“Where’s Yang?” Qin Chu walked over to the secretary departnt to ask.
“I’m not sure, President Qin.”
Ti slowly passed by and it was almost the official ti to be in for work but Qin Chu still couldn’t see Yang.
“Get Bella here.” Qin Chu made soone from the secretary departnt get Bella because he saw it was almost ti for the morning eting.
Bella had been Huo Mian’s assistant so she had sufficient experience as a secretary.
Qin Chu didn’t have ti so he picked up the docunts and went into the conference room with Bella.
When they finished the eting at 9:30, Yang was still not in.
Before Qin Chu could ask if Yang ca in or not, he heard his phone ring.
He saw that it was from Yang so Qin Chu picked up and directly asked, “Did you oversleep?”
“President Qin, I’m Yang’s wife.”
Qin Chu was slightly shocked and did not continue talking.
“My husband got into a car accident when he was going to work this morning. We’re still at the hospital. Our family is rather shocked so I forgot to call in for him to work. I just rembered this and that’s why I called so late. Sorry, President Qin.”
“Is it serious?” Qin Chu was rather worried when he heard that his assistant had got into a car accident.
“We’re not sure yet. We’re still waiting for the operation to finish. I don’t think he can return to work in a short ti though...”
“Okay, I understand.”
After hanging up on the phone, Qin Chu imdiately ordered soone from the finance departnt to send money to Yang’s family to help him with the ergency.
“Bella, you stay and take over Yang’s work for now.”
“I can but I still have a lot of work on my hand. What should I do?”
“Give it to soone else. If we don’t have enough manpower, tell human resources to hire so new people.”
A lot had been going on recently and Qin Chu was anxious and overworked. Qin Ning got into a big fight with her father because of Tang Chuan and now she was not going into work.
Sotis, his uncle couldn’t handle the workload so he would send a portion off to Qin Chu.
Bella could take over Yang’s work adeptly for the ti being, but not everyone could handle the amount of workload Bella was originally dealing with.
Finally, human resources decided to recruit an exceptional assistant for President Qin.
This decision was normally sothing incredibly small in such a big corporation but when Qin Chu ca to work the next day and saw his new female assistant who was supposed to replace Bella, he wasn’t looking well at all anymore.
“Good morning, President Qin,” the girl gave a bright smile when she saw Qin Chu.
