Xixi’s words put Rick in a position where he did not know how to respond…

Xixi sounded frustrated but she looked very lantable. Under the winter sky, the four stood there silently.

Xixi was still in her pajamas so Huo Mian said, “Xixi, I’m going to get you a coat,” because she was afraid that Xixi would catch a cold.

Xixi, however, shook her head and said, “It’s okay, Sister Mian. I’m not cold. But can I ask you and President Qin a favor?”

Huo Mian and Qin Chu looked at each other and nodded.

“What is it, Xixi?”

“Can you let us talk in private for a bit?”

Huo Mian and Qin Chu imdiately realized that they were not needed in this situation.

Qin Chu cuddled Huo Mian on the shoulder and they walked back into the house.

“It’s cold outside, Rick. Why don’t you and Xixi co in and chat?” Huo Mian asked as she did not want the two to be stuck outside on such a cold winter night.

“It’s okay… He probably doesn’t want to see so it won’t be long. We’ll talk here,” Xixi said with determination.

Rick did not say anything. Instead, he took off his jacket and put it on Xixi.

Xixi looked at this man in front of her. Just like before, his way of care was different from normal people. She was so frustrated that she threw his jacket to the ground.

“I don’t need your fake care!” Xixi exclaid.

“It’s not fake. I’m really afraid that you’d catch a cold,” Rick explained calmly.

“Then just let freeze to death!” Xixi shouted.

Huo Mian and Qin Chu stood at the door and watched the awkward situation.

Rick didn’t respond. He kneeled down and picked up the black jacket Xixi threw to the ground.

Once again, he put it on Xixi.

“I already told you that I don’t need your pity or fake care!” Xixi pulled off the jacket and threw it to the ground heartlessly.

She did not show any gratefulness towards Rick’s action, infuriating Rick’s bodyguards, who were watching from a distance.

They wanted to run over and beat this arrogant woman up but Rick raised his hand to stop them in place.

“Get out of here! No one co over!” Rick said in fluent English.

When his bodyguards heard his command, no one dared to move.

“Xixi, between us…” Rick seed to want to say sothing but Xixi would not allow him to finish.

When he opened his lips, she already threw herself into his arms.

She wrapped her hands tightly against his neck.

It had been a long ti since Rick slled Xixi’s warm and peaceful scent. All of a sudden, Rick’s eyes beca watery. How could this girl always bring him such unbelievable feelings. Only when she was with him would he feel that he’s a human being with a heart instead of a killer or so godfather of a gang.

“Xixi…” he gently called her na.

“Shh… Don’t say anything. Let tell you what I think, okay?” Xixi said in a trembling voice.

“Okay…” Rick wanted to embrace this woman in front of him but his mind told him that he couldn’t do that.

He had to withstand the temptation because he and Xixi have long been people from different worlds. There was nothing he could do about that. He held his fists tight and did not budge an inch.

“Rick, you’re so cruel… How could you not co see or talk to for three years? I thought you would never forget about , but in reality, I was the one that couldn’t forget about you… You’re so cruel that you didn’t even co and see even after you ca back to the country? If it wasn’t for Pudding telling , I probably wouldn’t have even seen you, right? I just want to ask you what I did wrong? Why are you so cruel to ?” Xixi cried and pleaded while she cuddled Rick. Her words and tears really made people’s hearts ache for her.
