It was rather awkward for Su Yu. If it was Huo Mian, he would feel guilty. Yet, it was Qin Chu and Su Yu felt rather even more complicated towards him.

On the day of the incident, Qin Chu had punched Su Yu at the hospital. No one ntioned it after. The two naturally had a strange relationship before and now, it was even stranger.

Su Yu thought Qin Chu would treat him with an icy and unfriendly manner but to his surprise, Qin Chu greeted him politely.

Qin Chu nodded, expressing his respect to Su Yu.

Su Yu nodded back. This was the way of greetings amongst these two n.

“Handso Su, how co you didn’t co visit earlier! Do you still like …” Little Bean was in Su Yu’s arms. She reached out and pinched Su Yu’s face.

“I wanted to co earlier but I was afraid that your mommy would kick out…” Su Yu joked.

“No no… My mommy isn’t that type of person…” Little Bean imdiately helped vindicate the claims made against her mommy.

Just then, Huo Mian ca out of the kitchen. She was in a small apron and she looked rather cute.

“What type of person is Mommy?” Huo Mian asked with a smile.

“Mommy, Handso Su’s here!” Little Bean said proudly. She seed to be showing off while Su Yu was holding her.

“Great timing. Go wash your hands. Dinner will start in five…” Huo Mian smiled at Su Yu.

The family didn’t seem to bla Su Yu for what happened to Little Bean, nor did they seem to distance themselves from him.

The twins still adored him and Huo Mian and Qin Chu’s attitudes towards him remained the sa.

It might be because they had Su Yu over for dinner that Zhixin and his mother went to visit their old neighbour.

There was only Huo Mian, Qin Chu, and the kids. They even sent away the butler and maids.

In this big living room, there were only five of them.

The dinner was filled with delicious Chinese dishes. Su Yu asked with surprise, “Did you guys make all this?”

“I made six dishes while Chu made four,” Huo Mian sounded a bit proud.

“Qin Chu can cook Chinese?” Su Yu asked in a very surprised voice.

“I learned it recently. The taste should be okay…” Qin Chu responded calmly.

“Handso Su, taste it and you’ll find out! Hurry!” Little Bean and Pudding each sat on one side of Su Yu.

Little Bean was particularly happy to see Su Yu so she started to put food in his bowl.

Su Yu felt at ho and started to eat in silence.

It was a casual atmosphere at the dinner table. When dinner was almost over, Huo Mian looked at Pudding and said, “Pudding, take Little Bean upstairs to get changed. We want to talk to your Uncle Su.”

“Okay, Mommy.” Pudding was especially good today. She followed Huo Mian’s orders and led Little Bean upstairs.

Before going up, Little Bean turned around as she was worried. She said, “Mommy, Daddy, you can’t bully Handso Su, or else I’d be mad!”

“Don’t worry. We won’t bully him. Miss Little Bean, you’re worrying too much…” Huo Mian couldn’t help but laughed.

When the twins went upstairs, there were only Qin Chu, Huo Mian, and Su Yu left at the dinner table. It was a rather awkward atmosphere.

“Su Yu, we invited you over for dinner because we actually wanted to talk to you about sothing…” Huo Mian slowly said, sounding very serious.

“I know. It’s about Little Bean. I’m prepared…” Su Yu responded.

Huo Mian nodded. Then she looked over at Qin Chu and said, “Honey, you start.”
