At these words, Jing Haohao felt a sense of guilt towards Nanny Lin, and rembered the recent incident.
The weather in Jiangshan City was getting colder, as it was well into winter. When Liang Chen had clothes prepared for her, he forgot about preparing hats, and subsequently had so hat styles sent over for her to choose from. Jing Haohao felt that having too many was a waste, so she only chose two styles she liked. As a result, when Liang Chen entered the dressing room that evening and saw only two winter hats in the rack, he let out an exasperated yell, and angrily shouted at Nanny Lin from the second floor: “Didn’t I ask you to prepare hats? Where are they? What do you all do all day, if you can’t even serve one person properly?”

Liang Chen entered the bedroom while loosening his tie. Not seeing Jing Haohao, he was about to turn and ask Nanny Lin when he caught sight of the small figure curled up on the wicker chair on the balcony.
