In the middle of the event, the bride and groom ca around for a toast. Everyone exchanged sincere blessings amidst laughter and joy.
As the bride and groom, arm in arm and grinning rrily, left the scene, the focus of the guests’ discussions shifted from entertainnt industry gossip to the bride herself.
“Gao Lu sure is lucky, she managed to marry a rich second-generation heir.”

Jing Haohao rely smiled, holding her wine glass and refraining from joining in the conversation.

“Sorry to interrupt…”
Suddenly, a gentle voice emanated from behind Jing Haohao, cutting through the ceaseless chatter.
Turning around, Jing Haohao saw Liang Chen, dressed immaculately in a suit and tie, radiating an air of elegant aloofness. “There’s a barbecue over there,” he said, his tone detached. “Would you like to join us?”
All the attendees knew Liang Chen. Seeing him approach personally, the actresses in attendance imdiately straightened up, their faces taking on a restrained smile as they nodded slightly.
Liang Chen acknowledged them with an emotionless nod. His gaze landed on Jing Haohao for a mont before he turned and walked back towards the barbecue grill.
The actresses stood up and made their way towards the grill. A lesser-known actress who was on good terms with Jing Haohao pulled her along to join them.
The barbecue table was long with won on one side and n on the other. Whether by chance or by design, Liang Chen was seated directly opposite Jing Haohao.
Every actress at the event had their attention on Liang Chen. But, the man’s aloofness and unattainable aura deterred any of them from initiating any sort of conversation.
Even though they tried to hide it, so onlookers keenly noticed Jing Haohao. One lifted a wine glass towards her, asking her directly, possibly due to alcohol’s influence, “You’re very beautiful. Could we possibly beco friends?”
Jing Haohao gave a composed smile, lifted her wine glass, and took a sip, not bothering to clink glasses with the one who greeted her.
As Jing Haohao set her glass down, she noticed Liang Chen, the man sitting across from her, fixing an intense gaze on her, as if monitoring her.
Jing Haohao felt odd. She had only had a sip of wine. Why did she feel as though she’d been caught in the act by Chen’s stare?
Despite Jing Haohao’s coldness, the man did not retreat but instead asked, “Can I ask you a personal question, do you have a boyfriend?”
Well, that indeed was a personal question.
Jing Haohao subconsciously looked towards Liang Chen.
He was staring intently at her, his eyes filled with hopeful anticipation.
