Liang Chen’s brows crinkled slightly. He instinctively stood up, intending to search for Jing Haohao in the supermarket when a car suddenly pulled up beside him. From the lowered window ca a familiar voice, “Chen?”
Liang Chen turned his head and saw his mother sitting in the car. He paused, then said, “Mom.”
Liang Chen’s mother popped her head out of the car window, looking up and down at his bicycle, “Why are you riding a bike?”
Liang Chen sidestepped his mother’s question and asked on his own, “What are you doing here?”
“I visited Aunt Fang’s club this afternoon, now, I am heading ho.”
Liang Chen nodded slightly, stayed silent for a mont, then said, “Drive carefully on your way ho.”
“When you have ti, rember to visit the old house.”
Liang Chen grunted in response, indicating he heard her, then he addressed the driver “Drive safely.”

Liang Chen stood by the road, watching his mother’s car until it was out of sight. He then turned his head and found Jing Haohao peeking out from the supermarket, stealthily. Only after making sure the car was far away, she rushed over and handed him an ice cream she bought.
Liang Chen looked at the ice cream but didn’t take it.
He had wondered why she suddenly disappeared, only to realize she had seen his mother.
Jing Haohao blinked, peeled off the wrapper from the ice cream, and once again handed it to Liang Chen.
Liang Chen’s eyes flickered a couple of tis before finally extending his hand to accept it.

On the way back, they didn’t converse much.
After dinner, like always, Liang Chen was passionately intimate with Jing Haohao. But that night, he was sowhat rushed and forceful. Despite the long activity they were involved in, he was still rather excited.
Jing Haohao, panting and weary, pleaded feebly. Seeing the tears in Jing Haohao’s eyes, Liang Chen finally hastened his pace, bringing himself to a finish.
Jing Haohao collapsed in his arms, falling into a deep sleep within a minute.
Liang Chen held Jing Haohao, but felt no exhaustion. In his mind, he kept seeing Jing Haohao’s astounded expression and panic-stricken attempts to hide, when she saw his mother’s car outside the supermarket.

The wedding was to be held at a private estate on the outskirts of Jiangshan City, at eight in the evening.
The star was marrying a wealthy scion from a prestigious family in Jiangshan City. Before setting off, Jing Haohao specifically asked Liang Chen if anyone else from the Liang family had received an invitation.
At the ti, Liang Chen was brushing his teeth in the bathroom. He paused slightly when he heard Jing Haohao’s question, then resud his task at a leisurely pace. When he was done and in the process of placing the toothbrush back in the holder, he addressed Jing Haohao, who was still standing by the bathroom door, “My eldest brother and sister-in-law should be attending.”
