Chapter 612: Chapter 613: Moved (5)_1

Because Jing Haohao had been dancing rather energetically, she took a mont to catch her breath, then picked up her water glass and took a long drink.

Liang Chen called a waiter over to bring Jing Haohao another glass of water, then leaned in and told her in a low voice, “I’m going to the restroom; wait for

here.”

Although she didn’t know the majority of the guests at the party, from ti to ti, soone would co up to say hello to her.

When Liang Chen was present, he could shield her from this.

Now, with Liang Chen gone, she felt awkward about refusing people’s advances, so she lightly sipped her wine, even though she ended up drinking quite a bit.

She glanced several tis in the direction Liang Chen had retreated but could not see him coming back. In the end, Jing Haohao decided to look for him in the restroom while also escaping the alcohol.

Just as he was about to enter the restroom, Liang Chen heard the sounds of retching.

He rounded a partition and found Qian Hua bent over, clutching her chest, vomiting violently.

Liang Chen approached, placed his hand on Qian Hua’s back, then picked up a disposable cup off to the side, filled it with water, and handed it to her to rinse her mouth.

After retching two more tis, Qian Hua finally took the cup from Liang Chen, rinsed her mouth, and then slowly raised her head to look at him, murmuring, “Liang Chen.”

“Why did you drink so much?” Liang Chen asked, his tone bearing a hint of reproach. “I’ll go and find soone to take you upstairs to rest.”

Having said this, Liang Chen made to exit the restroom.

But Qian Hua suddenly reached out, grasping hold of Liang Chen’s hand.

Liang Chen halted montarily before swiftly withdrawing his hand without hesitation. He then proceeded to leave.

Perhaps it was the alcohol, but Qian Hua seed more impulsive. She instinctively took two steps after Liang Chen, once again grasping his arm and saying, “Liang Chen, I don’t want to go upstairs and rest.”

Qian Hua seldom displayed such willfulness. She had been brought up to be an understanding and compliant lady.

Her obstinate tone at this mont caused Liang Chen to furrow his eyebrows slightly. He turned to look at her and said, “You’ve had too much to drink. Go upstairs and rest for a bit, we have a cake to cut later.”

Qian Hua tightened her grip on Liang Chen’s arm and looked at him. His face, under the light, seed even more clear-cut and handso. She appeared sowhat infatuated, and after a long pause she softly said, “Liang Chen, I have sothing to tell you.”

Before she could speak, she felt a twinge of pain in her heart.

She looked at the man in front of her, as poetic as a poem itself. Under the influence of alcohol, her love for him beca even more unrestrained and arrogant.

Liang Chen, however, remained calm. He lightly nodded at Qian Hua and said without any trace of emotion, “Go ahead.”

His voice was so cold… In fact, he had always spoken to her in that tone…

There were so many tis when she had summoned up the courage to confess her feelings to him, but each ti she was t with such coldness, she lost the nerve to do so. But this ti, she could not back down.

Qian Hua swallowed nervously, gazing foolishly at the man who stood before her, elegant as an orchid and upright as a jade tree. Her heart began to beat rapidly, her hand holding his arm was slightly trembling. She inhaled deeply, then gently closed her eyes. Her long eyelashes twitched slightly. After a mont of silent encouragent, she said, “Liang Chen, I like you.”

After searching for a while, Jing Haohao finally found the restroom. As she was about to make her way over, she heard a sweet voice from inside say, “Liang Chen, I like you.”
