Liang Yuan looked at the red booklet that had been slamd down in front of him. Its color was so bright it stung his eyes, and his complexion turned exceptionally horrid.
He had been carrying out his father’s orders to scrutinize this woman in front of him. In every place she had registered her ID, all he had uncovered were just a few major incidents. Other than those, everything else about her seed incredibly ordinary. Discarding those few incidents, she seed like a genteel and clean girl.
When he presented these findings to his father, he had spoken up for her, questioning, “Could there be so misunderstanding here?”
However, as the eldest son of the Liang Family, he knew in his heart, he would rather wrongly accuse soone than let them off.
The Liang Family could not afford to beco a laughingstock in public. As such, his preventative-minded father had tasked him with handling the matter.
He was always efficient in dealing with matters, indifferent to personal relations and unsentintal.
He assud that this young girl was at most a little clever and wouldn’t be able to withstand a scare. Surely, she would obediently follow his instructions and leave Liang Chen.
But much to his surprise, he had co to uncover such a trendous secret.
A secret that no one from the Liang Family had any clue about.
When he was younger, he loved to read historical biographies and had co across many lodramatic storylines, such as tales of forcibly taking commoner won. Back then, he was young and naive. He would be indignant and resentful after reading these stories.
Presently, in this modern society, he thought such actions would certainly not occur anymore. But he had not expected that Liang Chen, so spoiled and pampered by the Liang Family, would commit such a vulgar and disgusting act!
An ineffable sha welled up within Liang Yuan, partly due to the words he had just spoken to Jing Haohao, but it was mostly anger. His fists clenched tightly as he stared at the marriage certificate in front of him. He nodded and reassured her, “Miss Jing, don’t worry. I’ll have it all sorted out within half an hour.”
After he finished speaking, Liang Yuan pulled out his phone and dialed a number. “Co up to the second floor,” he instructed.
After a short while, Liang Yuan’s chauffeur ca up and Liang Yuan asked Jing Haohao, “Miss Jing, do you have your household registration booklet?”
Jing Haohao handed it over, and Liang Yuan gave it to his chauffeur, “I have the Liang Family’s household registration booklet in my car. Take both of these and arrange the divorce procedures with the civil affairs bureau.”
After a pause, Liang Yuan added, “Bring the lockpicking tool we usually use in the troop.”
The driver nodded, turned, and left.
After waiting for a while, a pile of weirdly shaped things that Jing Haohao couldn’t recognize was brought up.
Liang Yuan picked up the items and swished them in his hands a couple of tis. He looked at Jing Haohao and asked, “Miss Jing, do you know where Liang Chen kept that CD?”
Within the past year, Jing Haohao had searched countless places without finding the CD. The only place she hadn’t opened was the safe in the study.
Jing Haohao pondered for a mont and said, “If it’s not in the safe in the study, I have no idea where it could be.”
Liang Yuan calmly acknowledged her response with a grunt and got up. “Miss Jing, wait here for a while.”
Liang Yuan left the bedroom. The room fell into silence. Jing Haohao sank into the sofa. Her mind was muddled like sludge without a single coherent thought.
After an unknown amount of ti, Jing Haohao heard the bedroom door being pushed open. She looked up and saw Liang Yuan entering the room with a few boxes in his hands.
