Jing Haohao sat in the car, gazing at the green trees and snowy landscapes whizzing by, which gradually transitioned into a jumble of towering skyscrapers before the car finally ca to a gentle stop.
“Miss Jing, we have arrived.”
Jing Haohao straightened up, smiled at the driver, raised her hand, and unbuckled her seat belt.
“Miss Jing, would you like
to accompany you inside for shopping?”
“No need, I can manage alone,” Jing Haohao replied with a smile.
“Very well, I’ll wait here for you. When you co out, just find
here.”
“Alright, thank you.” Jing Haohao picked up her bag, pushed open the car door, got out of the car and gave a wave to the driver before shutting the car door and heading into the shopping mall.
It was packed with people due to the Spring Festival. However, Jing Haohao didn’t linger around the counters to painstakingly select the things she wanted and instead headed straight towards another exit in the mall.
Exiting the mall, she found herself on a street behind it. On the diagonally opposite side was Jiangshan City’s People’s Hospital. Jing Haohao crossed the road via a pedestrian bridge, only to find all the usually busy pharmacies adjacent to the hospital being closed due to the Spring Festival.
Left with no option, Jing Haohao entered the hospital and registered for a gynecology consultation.
The hospital was quite empty. Jing Haohao had barely waited for a minute in the waiting area when a nurse called out her na and ushered her in.
The doctor who attended Jing Haohao was a middle-aged woman wearing rimless glasses. She gave a friendly smile upon seeing Jing Haohao and gestured for her to sit down before she asked, “What seems to be the problem?”
Jing Haohao lowered her head slightly out of embarrassnt and said, “I was hoping you could prescribe
so contraceptives.”
“Are these intended to be used before or after intercourse?”
“After.”
Without delving any further, the doctor wrote a prescription and handed it over to Jing Haohao.
Jing Haohao received it, looked at the single box detailed on it, and couldn’t help but speak up: “Could you prescribe a few more boxes for ?”
Only then did the doctor look up, examining Jing Haohao up and down. “Young lady, don’t tell
you’re not aware. These contraceptives should not be consud like food – they can seriously harm your health. You might not care about it now due to your young age, but you’ll realize the damage they cause in the future.”
“I understand, but it’s necessary for
to prepare more. I cannot get pregnant.”
“You could consider having your boyfriend use a condom as contraception.”
Jing Haohao licked her lips, finding it hard to articulate.
Seeing Jing Haohao’s reluctance to speak, the doctor couldn’t help but ask, “Your boyfriend doesn’t want to use one, does he?”
Jing Haohao shook her head, imdiately shifting the topic, “Doctor, is there any way to achieve long-term contraception without taking dicine?”
