Liang Chen was no exception. Even though Jing Haohao made him furious, deep down he couldn’t help but find excuses for her.
One mont, he thought he had been quite good to Jing Haohao. Whoever dared to whisper behind his back, to talk to him with ill-concealed sarcasm, if it were anyone else, he would have torn the person apart and cast their ashes to the wind! Only because it was Jing Haohao did he bear with her. But she was so ungrateful… He had never been despised and loathed so much in his life!
The next mont, without even realising, he began to overturn his previous thought. Perhaps Jing Haohao was in a bad mood today and, therefore, let out such words. It could also be that he made her uncomfortable by showing her that ssage and warning her at the mall’s entrance. Then he thought, perhaps what she said was just venting… Why should he take it to heart? After all, they had been in the studio painting landscapes together recently.
After all the struggling, Liang Chen’s heart began thudding. He subconsciously wanted to pick up his phone to call Jing Haohao, only to realise that her wallet, phone, everything was here. She hadn’t taken anything with her when she left.
Did he chase her out penniless? The weather was so cold, she was wearing thin pyjamas, and it had just snowed. Could she have frozen to death?
In Liang Chen’s mind, the image of Jing Haohao lying frozen stiff in the snow quickly flashed through. He instantly jolted out of bed.
Pulling on a coat, without even changing his clothes, he quickly dashed towards the door.
Just as Liang Chen opened the door he saw Nanny Lin coming over with a cup of coffee.
Nanny Lin paused in her steps, “Mr. Chen…”
Liang Chen didn’t say anything. He brushed past her shoulders and went into the elevator to go downstairs.
As Liang Chen rushed out, unaffected by the snow falling, he ran directly to the entrance. Before he could reach the door, the security guard opened it up. As he walked out, he glanced around to find that the street was covered in white snow without a soul in sight, and Jing Haohao was nowhere to be found.
Nanny Lin had followed him from the room and had made it to the door. She couldn’t help but exclaim, “Mr. Chen, where is Miss Jing? It’s snowing so hard, the weather is freezing, and she ran off wearing her pajamas.”
“Mr. Chen, Miss Jing went down the mountain along the path,” said the gatekeeper.
Upon hearing these words, Liang Chen gritted his teeth, “Dammit, she never plans on letting
have a peaceful day!”
Then without saying anything more, he turned back into the villa. In no ti, Liang Chen roared out in his car.
