This stabbed Shen Liangnian’s heart, turning his face pale. A dull pain erged from within him. He wanted to speak, but found himself unable to utter a single word.
“Shen Liangnian, you can’t even offer her basic protection. What right do you have to talk about love?”
Liang Chen’s tone suddenly fell silent. After finishing his sentence, he pulled back his foot, stood still, adjusted his collar, straightened his clothes, contained his aggression, and headed towards the police station.
Only after Liang Chen left did the assistant step forward and offer Shen Liangnian a tissue. “Mr. Shen, are you okay now? Do you need to go to the hospital?”
Shen Liangnian seed to be oblivious to the assistant’s words, only staring into space in silence. With trembling fingers he felt around, eventually finding a cigarette. He lit up, took a slow drag, the blood running from his nose stained the cigarette, entered his mouth, spreading the taste of iron everywhere, and yet he seed totally unaware.
The hospital had called him, only saying that a young won was hit by a car. He didn’t know too many won, he hadn’t ruled out the possibility of it being Qiao Wennuan, but feared it could be Jing Haohao, so he hurried over to the hospital.
The mont he saw it was Qiao Wennuan, he did feel a pang of regret. Although she had used an extre thod to interrupt him and Jing Haohao’s plan to elope and be together, Qiao Wennuan was still with him for two years.
He wasn’t a cold-blooded creature, their relationship was not rely a result of Qiao Wennuan’s seduction.
So he stayed at the hospital, torn between heartlessness and rcy for Qiao Wennuan.
When he learnt that Qiao Wennuan was hit by Jing Haohao, his first thought was that Qiao Wennuan must have done sothing to Jing Haohao. Therefore, he rushed to the police station to see if Jing Haohao was alright.
But now, does he even have any right to worry about Jing Haohao’s well-being?
