About two minutes later, Liang Chen’s phone rang again. It was a text from Nanny Lin with the license plate number.
Liang Chen imdiately forwarded the license plate number to his assistant. Then he picked up the landline on his desk, hit a key, waited for the connection, and simply stated, “Find out who owns this car.”
This ti, Liang Chen didn’t even wait for his assistant to respond and just hung up the phone.
About ten minutes passed and Liang Chen’s landline rang again. Without any hesitation, he picked up the phone and answered, “Mr. Liang, the owner of the car with that license plate is a Miss Qiao Wennuan.”

Why was she looking for Jing Haohao?
“Find out where her car is right now.”

Jing Haohao and Qiao Wennuan didn’t talk much on their ride. Luckily, there was no traffic at this ti, and they arrived at the People’s Hospital in just over an hour.
Jing Haohao, unable to wait for Qiao Wennuan to stop the car completely, opened the door in a hurry and raced into the ergency building.
Upon entering the hospital room Qiao Wennuan had directed her to, Jing Haohao imdiately spotted Shen Liangnian lying in bed.
The man was wearing hospital clothes, lying there pale and motionless.
A drip was hooked up to his wrist, a liquid slowly feeding into his body.
Jing Haohao stood at the door for a while before slowly making her way inside.
Just yesterday, she had seen him in Liang Chen’s car. He had just looked a bit off-color at that ti, breathing heavily while puffing on a cigarette. How could he end up being hospitalized with gastric bleeding overnight?
Jing Haohao walked up to the bedside and stared at Shen Liangnian for a long ti before she reached out slowly and touched his cheek.
In the past, he loved cleanliness and tidiness, there was never a stubble on his face. However, now, his chin was covered in rough stubble which felt prickly to the touch.
Since she left him, she had seen him twice, once on the street, and the other was yesterday. Both tis she had the courage to look at him.
Now, as he lay unconscious here, Jing Haohao was finally able to stare at him carefully.

Jing Haohao ran her fingers lightly over Shen Liangnian’s forehead, over his nose, and his cheek.
“Liangnian, why are you so foolish?”
“Why do you have to ruin your body like this?”
Jing Haohao asked softly, her tone carrying clear bla, yet her body was filled with heartache.
After staring at Shen Liangnian for so ti, Jing Haohao finally turned around to speak to Qiao Wennuan, who was standing at the door.
