All eyes instantly fell on Jing Haohao.
Apart from Jing Haohao’s agent Xian’er, confusion filled the eyes of everyone else.
Soone even muttered under their breath, “Why her?”
The director didn’t respond to this question. He just looked at Jing Haohao’s agent and ordered, “Arrange a good makeup artist for Haohao now. We can’t have Director Zhang disapproving once she leaves.”
Having said that, the director left.
The office was in an uproar.
“Why is it Jing Haohao? She usually plays supporting roles and isn’t famous at all. It’s not her turn, surely!”
“I heard that her boyfriend owns a business and has so money, but apparently he’s not that influential. Did she get involved with Mr. Liang?”
“Do you think Jing Haohao and Mr. Liang have sothing…?”
Jing Haohao sat in her seat, listening to the whispered discussions around her, her eyes downcast.
It wasn’t that she cared about their opinions of her, but she was concerned about the investor behind the movie – Liang Chen!
Jing Haohao hadn’t done well in the entertainnt industry. After six years, she hadn’t made much progress. She worked on many projects a year but her fa was always fluctuating.
She entered the entertainnt industry to make a living, not to beco world famous. Thus, before doing anything, she always chose the way that would least offend others to protect herself.
This was the biggest difference between her and those who sought or had achieved huge success and fa.
At the sa ti, it was also the fundantal reason why she had never beco famous in the entertainnt industry over these years.
She knew her place and her limits. She understood what she could ask for, what she couldn’t, and what price she would have to pay for what she wanted.
For instance, since she chose to be in the entertainnt industry, she wouldn’t hypocritically claim that she didn’t want to be famous. A movie opportunity with Director Zhang was a great one. As long as she seized it, her future in the entertainnt industry would not only see higher appearance fees, net worth, but also a much higher status.
However, she understood better how many traps could be hidden behind such a seemingly opportunity of a lifeti.
She didn’t believe that, after she bit Liang Chen a few days ago, that he would let her go. She also understood that it was in n’s nature to want what they couldn’t have.
If she indeed accepted this movie, she was certain she wouldn’t be able to disentangle herself from Liang Chen.
At the very least, as an investor, he would inevitably cross paths with her, the leading lady, as they would be jointly promoting the movie, attending opening ceremonies, and movie launches. With such many intersections, she wasn’t naive enough to think that she could escape from his clutches as easily as before by using so tactics.
Jing Haohao quietly sat in front of the makeup mirror while the makeup artist worked on her, silently weighing her options.
Xian’er, on the other hand, was excitedly standing by her side, continuously saying, “Haohao, you are going to be famous now. Following you for six years, I’ve been waiting for this opportunity. I knew you wouldn’t be ignored!”
Jing Haohao forced a smile but didn’t reply.
At 9.50, she and Xian’er left on ti.
Just as the director said, a car from TS Entertainnt Company was waiting at the door.
Jing Haohao stood at the entrance of TS Entertainnt Company, glanced at the few steps before her, pursed her lips, then walked over with elegant strides.
