Jing Haohao walked around the entrance to Liang Chen’s study but seeing the firmly closed door, she never had the courage to knock.
Even though she had been interacting with Liang Chen more these past few days, deep down, she had always set him apart.
If she could avoid contact, she would always try to keep her distance.
Especially after recalling how Liang Chen had abruptly left after checking Weibo with her, skipping dinner and not even eating at the dining table, Jing Haohao felt even more apprehensive.

Thinking about it, Jing Haohao felt her heart pounding faster.
She forced herself to calm down, took a couple of deep breaths, and then gradually exhaled slowly, managing to temper her emotions. She then raised her hand to knock on the door.
However, before Jing Haohao’s fingers could touch the door, it was yanked open from inside.
Liang Chen had wanted to call Nanny Lin from downstairs to bring a cup of coffee. Unexpectedly, upon opening the door, he saw Jing Haohao. He paused for a mont and asked, “What are you doing standing at the door?”
“I…” Jing Haohao was startled by the sudden opening of the door and her heartbeat quickened. She took a deep breath before continuing, “I need to talk to you about sothing.”
Liang Chen moved aside: “Go in and take a seat first.”
Then he walked toward the railing, looked down and shouted, “Bring a cup of coffee and a glass of milk to the study room.”
“Yes, Mr. Chen.”
After hearing the echo, Liang Chen turned around and went back into his study, closing the door behind him. He walked straight to his desk, sat down, and looked at his computer, asking, “What’s the matter?”
All this while, he had not forbidden her from going out, although she was always accompanied by the driver and Nanny Lin.
Now, she needed to go out alone.
She didn’t know if he would agree, and if he didn’t, how could she convince him?
Jing Haohao racked her brains over this difficult problem.
Liang Chen waited for a while but hearing no response from Jing Haohao, he looked up at her and noticed her uneasy deanor. Frowning, he raised his hand, turned off his computer and his voice involuntarily softened, “Didn’t you say you had sothing to discuss? Why are you silent?”
“Director Fang Lu just called . She said that she is hosting a banquet at the Four Seasons Hotel tomorrow to launch her new TV show and she hopes that I can attend.”
“Is that all? What ti?”
“Eight in the evening.”
“Alright, I will have the driver pick you up from the villa at seven tomorrow evening.”
