Nyla did as she was asked and beca fully relaxed, a soft smile was on her face as she happily closed her eyes.
After dozen seconds passed, Fireflies started appearing in the room that went towards the magenta-haired beauty, causing her body to start twinkling with tiny particles. Soon, her body was covered in a glimring shade of red.
Rio noticed scarlet particles filling up the inside of the Elental affinity awakening crystal which started whirling around as the seconds passed.
Unlike Him who had to wait quite a lot of ti to coax the tiny particles, the magenta-haired girl didn't have to do much, just a mont passed and she awakened her elental affinity.
She heard a ssage announcing the outco of the Awakening ceremony, bringing a joyous smile on her cute face.
>
Red particles indicated the fire elent, reason, why she was able to awaken her elental affinity, was the sa as what Rio guessed, it was due to her innate talent.
Happily, the girl's eyes fluttered open and her irises were gleaming with red as if she was an asura but this was due to her elental affinity awakening as the colorful light fade away.
"Congrats, Nyla. You have Grade S fire elental affinity." Lia cheered for her, expressing happiness.
"We can go to the royal treasure tomorrow and bring you so battle technique arts. I will also look in the auction house if they have any high rank." Helia said, thinking to give her battle technique art before she leaves for the tournant.
They continued their talk regarding the battle technique arts and her new elental affinity.
With a flutter of ti's wings, three days passed.
Lia asked Emperor Daylan to get Battle technique arts for her adopted daughter, but the poor father could only complain inwardly and fulfill her wishes.
On the third day, Nyla was given her battle technique art which she didn't get much ti to practice.
Lia and Rio spend their ti without doing other business and Nyla trained with Helia in the oval-shaped building of the battle arena.
In the evening, when it was ti for them to leave, Helia and Lia ca to bid them farewell.
"Keep yourself safe at all costs and tell if anything bad happens."
"Take care, Nyla."
"Take care, Husband. I will miss you."
The white-haired beauty was upset that her beloved man would be leaving for thirty days and she was worrying about him as always. However, There was one thing different this ti.
"Good Luck, Nyla, and Best of Luck to you too."
The lioness also gave best wishes to the crimson-haired boy, the boy nodded with a smile before he vanished into the portal capsule along with Nyla.
Lia turned towards Helia with a serene expression, as she asked, "Do you still dislike him?"
Helia gazed in the direction of the portal capsule where Rio had disappeared, exhaling deeply she said, "He is very different from all the people I have t. I don't understand if I should call him stupid or a kind-hearted person."
"You can call him, Husband." Lia giggled.
"Never." The blonde-haired beauty retaliated, but the redness that spread on her neck was visible.
'I recently saw her and Rio in my dream given by eyes of destiny. I hope that nightmare won't co true.'
Lia mumbled inwardly, her face darkened, rembering the dream that she had seen.
***
Rio and Nyla stepped out of their apartnt, the morning sun shining bright and promising a good day ahead.
It was the day of the National Military School tournant, and the excitent together with the nervousness was on full display on the Magenta-haired beauty's face.
As they knew, the tournant was shrouded in mystery, held on a secret island that was kept hidden from the students and their families. They received a ssage from their respective class teachers to et at the auditorium as the tournant was going to start.
Nyla's feet dragged as she and Rio made their way toward the designated place
For days, they had traveled tirelessly for this mont, training at the laughing alligator forest to power level up and unlock the special skill asked by Eve.
But as they walked, Rio couldn't help but rember the words that were said by her Second Mother.
'I'll tell you about their identity if you get into the top 10 ranking in the next upcoming military school tournant.'
The tournant her second mother talked about was the next year when he turned seventeen but Rio was about to participate one year earlier, hoping he would get the top ten rankings.
There was a big disadvantage of having a shorter team but also a plus point of having Nyla on his team as a mber who was probably the strongest among all the participants.
Nyla noticed the seriousness etched on his face, which was normal for this relaxed guy and she placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"It's going to be okay, Rio, We will not only get top ten ranking but we will be in the top three," She said softly in a loving tone, her green eyes gleaming with confidence.
Rio's face loosened as he beca normal and relaxed, he was happy that he had soone by his side this ti. Unlike before, when he had to deal with everything alone in the human world.
Finally, they arrived at the auditorium which was full to the brim. The environnt was thick with enthusiasm and anticipation, the sound of chatter and cheers filling their ears.
Rio and Nyla took their seats at the back, their eyes scanning the crowd for familiar faces, and avoided being in the spotlight.
But then, the lights went out, and the chatter died down to whispers which eventually beco a hushed silence.
Rio's face stayed serene as he noticed the figures in the distance with his [Heaven's Eyes], on the other hand, Nyla's heart pounded as a voice bood through the enchanted mana, resounding all around the auditorium.
