The savage winds of the mountains howled. A black top-of-the-line helicopter aircraft traveled against the wind as it inched and inched closer to its destination. They eventually approached a hidden base in a top-secret location unknown to the rest of the world.
"Sigh. Where did it all go wrong?"
Marcus fidgeted in place nervously. Beside him, his reliable aide "Tessa Potts" smiled. The face and gestures undoubtedly belonged to Tess, but the imnse insanity and bloodlust was not.
It was so thick, Marcus felt like a heavy weight was crushing his ribcage. Yet he couldn’t even resist. For one, this single woman had the power to butcher everyone in the aircraft and then so.
Good grief, I really should have just retired. Silent, no matter what I do, I am going to be treated as a traitor! And I told you, I am not even sure if they will really be here.
The "Tessa" beside him smiled. However, her voice resonated inside Marcus’ mind.
"Feel free to die however you wish, I promise your body and soul will be used well." She then crossed her legs seductively and pursed her lips, "I wonder how you will taste?"
Can I please ask you to stop doing that? It’s terrifying!
The woman did not answer. She instead pulled out a smartphone and leaned back in her seat. Imnse shivers ran up Marcus’ body. The Weapon managed to recreate Tessa’s movents and mannerisms perfectly.
If even he found it convincing, what more the average Joe? The pilot and crew of the aircraft were too preoccupied to notice that the one with them was no longer of flesh or blood.
The Tessa with Marcus was not his usual aide but a Weapon of Valestra, Silent Frozen Star. A bloodthirsty monster of tal and unbridled fury that has been rampaging for weeks.
She was one of the top commanders of the Beowolves. The new race of beings that were basically weaponized Snow Wolves. And Silent even gained the nickna "Ripper" because of how many crusaders she had torn into pieces.
Marcus cursed inwardly.
All it took was his delaying their departure to seal his fate and et this deranged mass murderer.

He was about to leave the city but was blocked by a 10-ter Weapon with blood dripping down its teeth. The car he drove suddenly wouldn’t move despite no one stopping it.
"Marcus Steel. I know that you still keep tabs on your ex-wife and have an illegitimate daughter with another woman. My na is Silent Frozen Star. You will take to see the pope, or I will hunt all your loved ones and feed them to the Weapons."
The mont he heard the word "Pope" Marcus’ stomach dropped to the floor.
Crap. It just had to be Ripper.
Marcus stepped out of the car and held his hands up.
"I am sorry, Lady Silent, but I am just a lowly man on the totem pole. I..."
"Fufu... you seem to be under the impression that I am a re animal. You are scheduled to et them in a Big Three black site for an ergency summit in 2 days. I will be joining you."
Holy crap! How did she know that? Besides, even if I agreed, how would she fit in a helicopter? the man complained inwardly.
But then a female voice resonated inside his brain. "Let worry about that; I have my ways."
Sigh. Oh look, they read minds too! Great! Just great.

Despite being a S-Ranked Breaker of the first generation, Marcus trembled. During the ti he spent on Crestfall, he saw just how powerful the Weapons were. They were, in essence, the ultimate army.
A legion of monsters that did not tire, did not die, and would never stop until the enemy was dead. Elian Reed was one thing, but he and Tessa observed the war in detail. The Beowolves were leagues above the rest.
There were three leaders among them.
Marcus designated them: "Castle," "Ripper," and "Smith".
Castle was the largest of the Wolves and was the strongest front-line combatant of the faction.
Smith was the leader of the shape-shifters who specialized in battlefield domination. They changed their bodies to beco literal weapons, armor, siege equipnt, and even buildings.
However, no matter how powerful Castle and Smith were, Ripper was on a whole different level. For one, after the invasion, Castle guarded the borders, and Smith went MIA.
As for Ripper? The bastard and his unit went on a killing spree targeting the church.
Blood-covered wolves went district by district and tore apart Crusader after Crusader. While they only went after the corrupt, even the innocent grew scared of them. Blood-soaked tallic wolves the size of grizzly bears running around left quite an impression.
"..."
Marcus couldn’t stop himself from fidgeting in place.
[Commander Steel, we are about to land in five minutes,] the pilot called over the intercoms.
[Great, thank you, pilot.]
He turned to see Silent watching the base they were about to land in. In such a small facility, her true form would have a hard ti moving. If it were only Tessa’s body, they might have the power to restrain her.
Just rembering how Silent transford into a human in front of him made his gut twist. Apart from her extrely pale complexion, eye color, and hair color, it was a near-perfect replica of Tessa Potts. When she added makeup, a wig, and contact lenses, even those differences vanished.
If this ability is sothing every Weapon is able to do, humanity was as good as over.
"Commander Steel, Ms. Potts, welco to the Helios Outpost; please follow ."
Under heavy guard, they were escorted to the eting. As it was an impromptu summit, security was both heavy and careless. There were hardly any checks, but the place was crawling with human soldiers and Breakers from all three factions.
The guide brought them to a door after a long hallway deep in the facility. He then knocked at the door and declared, "Your holiness, I have Commander Steel and Ms. Potts with ."
"Enter," a beautiful voice replied.
A loud creak echoed as the opulent-looking wooden door gave way. It revealed a triangular table that separated three groups of people. It was the three biggest factions of humanity. Their leaders sat while a handful of guards and advisers stood beside them.
"As I have said, we must do sothing about the Weapons? Our control is slipping!"
"You think I don’t know that, Jian? Whatever is happening in Conquest cities, we have it ten tis worse! Ascendancy cities are all on the brink of civil war!"
"That’s what usually happens to aristocracies, you selfish bastards."
"What did you say to , you foul-mouthed, money-obsessed savage?"
"Gerard, Jian, calm down. We ca to et precisely to discuss this."
"Shut up, Seraphi! This wouldn’t have been an issue if you had just killed Bianca Valestra like you were supposed to!"
Marcus’ party entered. The mont they did, the room turned silent.
Even before the door could close, all three leaders rose from their seats, their eyes all locked on to the one beside Marcus. Their guards all placed their hands on their weapons, prepared to fight at a mont’s notice.
"Marcus, what have you done?" one of them asked.
He was about to speak when he noticed his muscles all tensed up. Marcus felt his spine turn rigid and all the nerves in his body turned numb. He tried to open his mouth but no words ca out. As if his voice box refused to work.
Everyone noticed what happened to him. Which made them even more on edge. In the silence, a woman laughed in a lodious voice.
"Haha, how unsightly. It truly is a wonder how such an unclout pack of buffoons gave birth to soone like my daughter."
Seraphi, the Pope, called forth her holy robes and scepter. Her body shone in gold, and her eyes turned into stars. "Who are you? The ground cries from the blood you have spilled. Just how many sentient beings have you killed, monster? Repent before I smite you down!"
Crap! It’s the Scepter of Justice! I need to get out of here! Marcus panicked.
But ’Tessa’ ca closer and began to change shape. Growing taller, her limbs lengthened and turned to blades, shredding all her clothes. The forr Tessa’s face deford and fell to the ground with a plop. In its place was a white, featureless mask.
The 2.5-ter figure raised its right arm, which was really just a large sword, as it replied.
"My na is Silent Frozen Star. A Weapon of Valestra. Adoptive mother of Bianca Valestra. On the command of my Tyrant and my own grudge as a mother, I have co to butcher you all."
Black fluid poured out of Silent’s feet, creating a large puddle on the ground.
But few could even worry about that. Everyone was to focus on those who stood up from the sea of black. Misshapen figures eerily rose and began to harden.
They broke away from the sea like golems freeing themselves from a mountain. Their arms and legs were as sharp as swords, yet they glided along the water like figure skaters.
Unwilling to wait passively, the guards of the three factions moved—only to all suddenly freeze mid-action, arms trembling, expressions twisted in horror. Not a single strike landed.
"Pitiful. Your most powerful warriors are on the level of children. You lot, be a dear and offer yourselves to the Weapons."
At Silent’s command, the guards, both mages and lee fighters, all began to slowly bring their swords and magic to their heads, hearts, or necks.
"NO!! WHAT IS GOING ON!!! DUKE HELP!!!"
"YOUR HOLINESS, MY BODY HAS BEEN POSSESSED! PLEASE RUN!!!"
"I AIN’T PAID ENOUGH TO DIE HERE! I QUIT! FORGIVE ! YOU CAN HAVE ’EM!"
Every single guard in the room committed suicide without exception.
Leaving only the three leaders. Marcus bit his lip and tried to wiggle his toes in terror. This wasn’t even a battle but a massacre.
"I’ve co to add your heads to Bianca’s dowry—now die for please,"Silent said in a cheerful voice.
