Yue Country.

Streets of Bo State.

The Central Army surrounded the city, stord the Imperial Palace, and captured the entire Imperial Family including the Emperor.

In over three hundred years since the founding of Yue Country, despite internal turmoil and warlord division, an event where rebels storm the capital and capture the Emperor was unprecedented.

Originally as the ruler of a nation, the Yue Emperor’s cultivation, though not as formidable as the emperors of the Five Great Dynasties, had no rival below the Sixth Realm and should not have been captured so easily.

Unfortunately, shortly before, the Yue Emperor abdicated for self-preservation, losing his cultivation, and now could only be slaughtered like a lamb.

In Bo State City, whether officials and nobles or ordinary citizens, all hid at ho, shutting their doors.

The Central Army’s rebellion and the capture of the Imperial Family left everyone in fear of them possibly looting and killing within the city, filling their hearts with dread for the future.

However, their fears did not co to pass.

After the rebels entered the city, aside from capturing the Imperial Family, they did not trouble the common people.

Not long after, announcents were plastered all over the streets and alleys of Bo State.

The White Wolf Army announced that at noon the next day, they would hold a public trial of the Emperor and the Imperial Family at the palace gates, inviting the entire city to witness.

The two words ’trial’ and ’Emperor’ always had the Emperor ahead.

Only emperors judged others; who could judge an emperor?

This was sothing new to the people of Yue Country and indeed to the entire continent.

Having lived a lifeti, who had ever seen such a thing?

Speaking of the Yue Imperial Family, the people were always resentful but silent. The Second Prince loved riding and shooting and often used human lives for sport; the Third Prince loved beauty, abducting won off the streets to the palace, reveling with nobles, causing nurous won to take their own lives out of disgrace.

Their cris were endless.

At that mont, everyone was filled with curiosity about the trial set for the next day.

Firstly, they genuinely wanted to know how the trial of the Emperor and the Imperial Family would proceed.

Secondly, Bo State was now under their control, with these notices posted throughout the city; not attending would an disrespecting them, and angering them would surely bring misfortune upon oneself.

After a night of dread, before noon the next day, the crowd began to gather at the palace gates.

In the center of the square in front of the palace gate, rows of people, with their heads covered, knelt with their backs to the palace and faces to the people.

The crowd gathering grew larger, filling not only the square in front of the palace but also the streets and alleys around, packed tight without space.

"Are those kneeling in front the Imperial Family?"

"I think I see the executioners, do they an to execute the Imperial Family?"

"They should have been executed long ago; the Wu Royal Family has done nothing but evil, finally soone can bring them to justice..."

"I wonder who they will appoint as the next Emperor..."

...

Dong!

Dong!

Dong!

At noon, three deep chis sounded from the city walls.

The murmurs of the crowd abruptly stopped, and silence fell over the area.

The bags covering the heads of those kneeling on the high platform were removed, causing another uproar among the people below.

To the surprise of the onlookers, the Wu Royal Family, which had ruled Yue Country for over three hundred years, including the Emperor, were indeed kneeling before the people.

Traditionally, it was always the people who knelt before an Emperor.

When had an Emperor ever knelt before the people?

On the square, there was a table set, and a young man sat behind it, tapping the gavel in his hand, saying, "The public trial begins."

His voice was not loud, but it carried a peculiar force, reaching the ears of all present with clarity.

A few trembling citizens stepped forward, about to kneel, but were lifted by an invisible force, the young man said, "No need to kneel, you may speak of your grievances truthfully."

Upon hearing this, the citizens began to speak one after another.

"I accuse Second Prince Wu Hao; my son rely accidentally collided with his carriage and was shot dead by him in the street!"

"I accuse Third Prince Wu Shuo; two of my daughters were abducted to the King Mansion and humiliated, leading to their suicide, and the Third Prince sent people to warn us that if we spoke of this, they would kill my entire family!"

"I want to accuse King Ping..."

"I accuse the Imperial Uncle..."

The Wu Royal Family and Imperial Relatives, relying on their power, committed wanton acts daily, treating human lives like straw, protected by the Emperor, the governnt turned a blind eye to their deeds.

After hearing these citizens, the young man walked up to the row of kneeling royals, asking, "What do you have to say regarding these accusations from the people?"

"I am a Prince of Yue Country; you cannot kill !"

"You have no authority to ddle in the affairs of Yue Country!"

"I have a Death Exemption Token, granted by the late Emperor, spare , and I will give you anything you want!"

...

The Yue Imperial Family, naturally very clear about their own actions.

But in the past, as the higher-ups of the Imperial Family, they never faced any repercussions for their actions.

Today, however, as mbers of the Imperial Family, they beca prisoners of others, and apart from shouting like this, there was nothing they could do.

The young man walked to the table, picked up a few Command Arrows, and said, "Regarding these accusations, since you have no defense, you are now sentenced to imdiate execution according to the law. Carry out the sentence!"

As his words fell, executioners already prepared began to step forward slowly.

"No!"

"Don’t kill !"

"I don’t want to die!"

As the executioners raised and lowered their ghost-headed sabers, the square gradually quieted significantly.
