Chapter 778: No Friends At All!

“Co on, Wife, why would you want to kill the Emperor?” Qin Feng was extrely puzzled.

Cang Feilan explained coldly, “Your friend and his Wife are deeply in love and he’s unwilling to remarry. But that dog Emperor is disregarding his feelings and insisting on marrying another princess to him.”

“If I were your friend’s wife, I would not tolerate this injustice. Even if I didn’t kill the emperor, I would confront him face to face and demand that he rescind the decree.”

‘It must be that too many things have happened recently, causing my brain to malfunction a bit, making

think of consulting Feilan first.’ Qin Feng swallowed hard, cautiously asking, “If my friend is willing to remarry and both he and the princess are consenting, how would you handle it, Wife?”

Cang Feilan frowned and turned her head to look at him. “We already have a Wife at ho, and he still dares to seek pleasure outside? If it were …”

Before she finished speaking, a thunderbolt struck, violently cutting off a branch from a nearby tree in the courtyard!

Qin Feng instinctively covered his crotch, terrified.

“Husband, why are you so scared?” Cang Feilan looked at him with a scrutinizing and puzzled gaze.

“Just touched by the story, that’s all,” Qin Feng said dryly.

Cang Feilan, half-believing, warned, “Who exactly is your friend? I advise you to stay away from him and not to emulate his bad habits.”

“Wife, you misunderstood. I said ‘if’! My friend is definitely a model of loyalty and faithfulness, a good man among good n! This is all the fault of that dog Emperor, insisting on issuing a decree to marry a princess out of the blue. But… the Emperor is the ruler of a country, and imperial decrees are not to be taken lightly. This marriage is probably unavoidable.” Qin Feng sighed.

Cang Feilan snorted coldly, making no further comnts. After all, this was just a friend of her husband’s, it was not directly related to her.

After a mont of silence, Qin Feng observed Feilan’s reaction and continued, “Actually, in this matter, I think a friend’s Wife should understand him. After all, it’s the dog Emperor’s fault, and even if there’s resentnt, it should be directed at the Emperor. Just like when I married you, Feilan, Jianli was initially very unwilling, but now everything is harmonious, right?”

Cang Feilan subconsciously averted her gaze, weakened her tone slightly, and said, “My situation can’t be compared to that of your friend.”

“Wife, you are knowledgeable and understanding. You should learn to empathize and consider the difficulties of others. Many things, if looked at differently, aren’t that hard to accept. As the saying goes, endure a temporary hardship for calm seas and a step back leads to a broader view.” Qin Feng spread his hands.

At this point, Cang Feilan reacted, glancing sideways with an intense gaze. “Wait a minute, we were clearly discussing your friend’s matter, why are you suddenly trying to persuade ? Your friend, could it be…”

Qin Feng’s heart tightened, hastily explaining, “Wife, you’re overthinking it again, aren’t you? I’m just trying to use you to teach my friend how to persuade his Wife. Forget it, forget it, let

handle this troubleso matter on my own. Wife, you continue with your business, I won’t disturb you anymore.”

Qin Feng hurriedly left after speaking, lest he reveal too much and arouse Feilan’s suspicion.

Cang Feilan watched his figure disappear down the corridor, deep in thought. She couldn’t shake off the feeling that her husband’s behavior was sowhat strange, but she couldn’t pinpoint exactly what was wrong.

“No, I need to tell Sister Jianli about this.”

With that thought, she extinguished the fire under the dicine pot and headed towards Liu Jianli’s room.

Outside the tidy room, Liu Jianli, dressed in white, was adjusting her internal energy with closed eyes. Nearby, Lan Ningshuang, in blue attire, was controlling the fire in the furnace with a fan.

Just then, a breaking wind sound caught Lan Ningshuang’s attention. Curiously, she asked, “Miss Feilan, what brings you here?”

Cang Feilan didn’t answer imdiately but looked at the simring dicine, the familiar herbal aroma wafting towards her. She then glanced at Sister Jianli, who also looked back at her.

“Sister Jianli, didn’t we agree during the day that no one should go to find the husband tonight? What you’re brewing…”

“It’s chicken soup,” Liu Jianli lightly opened her lips and glanced subtly at Lan Ningshuang.

After a mont of confusion, Lan Ningshuang hurriedly said, “Yes, Miss asked

to brew chicken soup to replenish the master’s body.”

She didn’t even bother to co up with a new excuse and just repeated the sa one as last ti. Cang Feilan’s eye twitched slightly as she took a step forward. “Since it’s chicken soup, and I didn’t have a satisfying dinner tonight, Sister Jianli, why not let

have a taste too?”

As she finished speaking, a burst of energy hit the clay pot, and with a bang, it turned into a shooting star and disappeared into the night sky.

“The chicken soup has been cooked for too long. If Feilan wants to drink it, I’ll have Ningshuang make a fresh batch for you,” Liu Jianli said calmly.

At that mont, a maid nad Qing’er arrived and asked, “Second Madam, do you still need the dicine outside your room? I see the fire has been extinguished, but the dicine inside is still full. If not, I’ll put it away.”

“It’s not dicine, it’s chicken soup!” Cang Feilan retorted.

“Chicken soup? But the sll…”

“It’s chicken soup!” Cang Feilan’s tone was firm. “It’s gone cold, just pour it out, no need to say more.”

“Okay then.” Qing’er left, puzzled. The sll was clearly the sa as the dicine the young master often drank.

In the courtyard, the three won looked at each other in silence.

Cang Feilan broke the awkward silence first. “Ssiter Jianli, your cultivation seems to have improved again. The control of Qi just now was impeccable.”

Liu Jianli nodded slightly. “The journey to the Western Regions was quite rewarding. I believe you’ve gained insights in this regard as well.”

Cang Feilan didn’t deny it.

After Qin Feng initially mastered the Dao of Yin and Yang, he could achieve endless circulation of Yin and Yang in his body so he didn’t need to take a double break.

For Liu Jianli and Cang Feilan, this was a shortcut to quickly improve their cultivation and experience the Dao principles firsthand.

In the Western Realm, they have witnessed many battles in the Transcendence realm, especially after fighting against Gods and Demons in Su Tianyue’s Illusion, which also gave them a deeper understanding of the Dao and actual combat.

“I believe it won’t be long before I can reach a higher realm,” Cang Feilan said confidently.

Liu Jianli responded lightly, then asked, “What brings you here?”

Cang Feilan imdiately recounted everything Qin Feng had said to her earlier in detail.

“But I wonder how things are going at the friend’s house now. But Sister Jianli, if you were in this situation, how would you handle it?”

After she finished speaking, there was silence for a while.

Cang Feilan looked up and saw Liu Jianli with her eyes closed, seemingly lost in thought.

“Sister Jianli? What’s wrong?” Cang Feilan asked curiously.

Liu Jianli’s lips parted slightly. “Where is the husband?”

“He should have gone back to his bedroom.”

“Good.” Liu Jianli nodded, her expression cold as she walked towards Qin Feng’s room.

Lan Ningshuang followed closely behind her with a grim expression.

Cang Feilan asked curiously: “Sister Jianli seems to be angry. Could it be that she feels the sa way and thinks that the dog emperor deserves to die?”

Lan Ningshuang gritted her teeth. “Miss Feilan, there are simply no friends. The friend ntioned by the Young Master is himself!”

“What?!”
