When I tried to teleport to the start of the hallway on floor 59, my magic wasn’t activating. However, not all of my magic was blocked.

I was still able to cast any other type of spell, but whenever I tried to teleport to any of the places in the castle we had visited, my spell simply didn’t work.

The obsidian stone that was part of the fra of the whole tower had already made our magic slightly weaker, but I knew it wasn’t enough to completely prevent from casting a spell.

"It’s as if only the teleportation spells are completely blocked..." I comnted, and my companions seed to reach the sa conclusion.

*Sigh* "Fine... I’ll be right back," I said to my group, slightly annoyed.

This ti, however, instead of trying to teleport to the start of the hallway, I just started flying back at the highest speed I could muster.

My issue with going back to light up the missing torch was the ti we wasted there. All the other teams were moving up in the tower, and we heard on a voice ssage that Yuki and Sage Astra had reached the 50th floor.

Of course, it was a bit easier for the other teams to go through those levels since my team did their best to clear them from demons as much as possible, but having to waste ti to light up the torch would allow them to get even closer to us.

After almost an hour of flying, I reached the very beginning of the hallway, and seeing the unlit torch was sowhat irritating. It wasn’t even aligned with the rest of the torches, as if they placed it slightly further away from the others so that people would forget it was there.

"How unlucky..." I muttered to myself, flicking my fingers and lighting it up with fire magic.

When I flew back to the end, my team was waiting next to the open door, with the counter at the top showing the number "1000."

*Phew* "Thanks for waiting, everyone," I said to my team.

"Ichi, there is sothing strange on the next level..." lina comnted, standing next to the door fra and looking inside the staircase with a raised eyebrow.

"There is sothing strange in every level!" I replied.

"Touché—but that’s not what I an!" She continued, beckoning to approach her with her hand.

As I walked closer to the staircase, I suddenly felt a nice breeze, and the temperature seed to get slightly more humid and hot, but not in an unbearable way.

"It feels... nice?" I said with uncertainty.

"Right!? Isn’t that strange?" lina asked

"Yeah... I don’t really trust this feeling right now," I continued, but we couldn’t just sit by and co up with theories, so I went in first and guided the group upstairs to the 60th floor.

The more we went up, the better the air felt around us. Still, we didn’t want to bask in the good feeling since it could have been a trap.

When we got close to the exit leading to the 60th floor, we could see a bright light coming from the room, and when we arrived and scanned our surroundings, we were all in utter shock.

The 60th floor was an expansive grass field. There was literally nothing other than grass, at least on the ground.

The ceiling had a fake, magical sky that mimicked the sunlight, and we couldn’t tell where the hell the nice sumr breeze ca from.

Most of the levels we had seen were surrounded by the obsidian castle walls, but this room had large mirror panels surrounding the area, which made the field look even more extensive.

There were no demons present on the field, which made sense since they didn’t have anywhere to hide from us. Still, we also didn’t have a road or path, so we still had to split up in different directions to search for the next staircase.

After spending almost an hour searching, Arashi found the exit and beckoned the team to et up with her.

When we entered the short tunnel leading to the stairs, we saw an elevator entrance right beside them, but it wasn’t the sa type of elevator we had seen on the previous levels.

The other levels had one lift that would only take people to a single floor, so we couldn’t just ride it and let it leave us wherever we wanted. However, this elevator had a small column in the center with two buttons.

The first button had the number "60" on it, with the word "Grass" right beside it.

The second button had the number "65," and the word next to it said "Trees," which was pretty vague, but I still sowhat understood what it ant.

"Hmmm, we could skip all the way to floor 65 from here..." I comnted, but I was still a bit curious about the floors in between.

Thankfully, Vespera had already sent one of her tiny demon spiders up the stairs to floor 61, and she told us that it was another field level with absolutely nothing on it but grass.

Deducing that floors 60 to 64 were all grass fields, we decided to use the elevator and skip them all, taking us all the way to floor 65.

When the elevator door opened, we were a bit shocked when we realized a vast amount of thorny vines blocked the exit, so I used nature magic to get them out of our way.

"A forest...?" I muttered aloud.

Floor 65 was very similar to the 60th floor. There was a fake sky that produced sunlight, a cool breeze, and large mirror panels on the surroundings to make the place look even grander.

However, there was one big difference, and that was the overwhelming amount of trees that covered the entirety of the 65th floor.

"Well, the button did say ’Trees...’" said Vespera, seemingly annoyed.

The trees that we were seeing were quite tall, with so of the tallest ones we saw being at least sixty feet high, and there were so many blocking our view that we knew that looking for the exit was going to be painful.

*Sigh* "Let’s get started, then..." I said to my group, prompting us to instantly split in different directions.
