lina managed to reach the 100th floor of the Ice Dragon’s tower, where she had to fight against fifty red ice knights.
By the ti the encounter was over, she had drunk another MP potion and took the door to the last room, where the dragon resided.
Different from Arashi, the Ice Dragon had blue scales that shimred like ice, and his body extruded a freezing aura that made lina shiver, even when her clothes were enchanted.
The dragon’s body took over half of the room’s space, which was enough for lina to be able to move around.
When the Legendary Beast opened his eyes and raised his neck, lina locked gazes with him confidently, staying silent for a mont as the two of them inspected each other.
As lina read the dragon’s information, she focused on the fact it said "selectively dangerous" and didn’t comprehend what it ant.
She rembered that the first ti she inspected Arashi, it said she was "extrely dangerous," and it was a feature that she expected all other dragons to have.
Nonetheless, the Ice Dragon wasn’t in the sa category, and the beast must have noticed her confusion.
"I see... My sister has been helping you out," said the dragon as his voice echoed inside the room.
lina couldn’t help but compare the beast’s voice to that of a teenager, but she put that notion aside and said she was looking for the relic.
As soon as she uttered her request, the dragon’s body started getting enveloped in a freezing mist, transforming into his humanoid form.
The Ice Dragon had light-blue hair, and his appearance resembled that of a teenager instead of an adult like Arashi.
He was slightly taller than lina but a bit shorter than Ichiro, and his expression showed more signs of curiosity than hostility towards the princess.
"Hmmm, I was wondering what kind of sage would co here..." the Ice Dragon said, placing a hand on his chin and gazing up and down at the princess.
"Sorry, we are in a bit of a hurry..." lina said.
"Ah, sorry, sorry. Here it is..." the dragon replied with a friendly tone, raising his hand and opening a hidden door in the back of the room.
"Umm, is the trial over?" lina asked.
When she was completing Arashi’s trial, she had to fight the dragon in the end as a test that they were powerful enough, but the Ice Dragon didn’t seem to have the sa interest.
"There is no need. My sister is more powerful than , so it’s clear you would pass my trial..." said the young dragon as he walked to the treasure chamber.
"Oh, I see..." the princess replied, following behind him.
"I didn’t think she would make another contract. She must’ve really liked you," the dragon continued, making lina smile as she enjoyed Arashi’s company as well. Still, she could feel a certain sadness coming from his words.
"Once you grab the relic, it should go to its rightful place," the Ice Dragon said, showcasing the shiny cube inside his treasure chamber, gently floating in the center.
As soon as lina’s hand made contact with the cube, it lit up even brighter and shot up into the sky, phasing through the walls like a ghost and leaving the area in an instant.
"Good luck in your endeavors..." the ice dragon said as his farewell, but before he could teleport lina to the bottom floor again, the princess spoke up.
She could sense sadness coming from the young dragon, and as Arashi’s master, she felt like she had to help her younger brother.
"Would you like to co, too?" lina asked, direct and concise.
"What?" the dragon pondered aloud.
"Ah, I an—sorry. I just felt like you might be a bit lonely here, so if you want, you can join and your sister..." the princess replied, thinking that she had overstepped a boundary.
Nevertheless, the dragon was shocked, thinking that it was the first ti he had gotten such an offer.
He was the youngest dragon in the world, so he never had the chance to be the companion of the old sages as he was just a fledgling when the last sage before Ichiro and lina was around.
"I, uhhh...-" the young dragon muttered, not knowing how to respond.
Suddenly, the voice of Arashi could be heard loudly in the room, even though she wasn’t present.
"Accept it!" she said.
"Sister!?" the dragon exclaid, startled by her shout.
In the center of the room, lightning appeared and accumulated, producing a blinding flash of light and showing Arashi, who had appeared in the last room without notice.
She slowly approached her brother, who was a head shorter than her and placed a hand on his head.
"You’ve been here for a few hundred years. It’s ti to go out, little brother," said Arashi, turning her attention to lina.
"Please, lina. If it isn’t too much trouble, would you make a contract with my brother, too?" she asked, slightly bowing her head.
lina was a bit surprised, as it was the first ti she had seen Arashi caring for soone like that.
They didn’t know each other for that long, but lina could already tell that Arashi wasn’t the type to show much emotion. However, seeing her wanting the best for her little brother made it clear that she was kinder than she looked.
"Of course. I was the one who offered the contract in the first place!" the princess replied with a smile, approaching the young dragon.
"How about Frost?" she asked, and while the dragon didn’t reply, a gentle gust of wind enveloped them as their bodies produced a glow montarily, symbolizing that the dragon had accepted lina as her contract master.
After the princess inspected the young dragon, she noticed that he didn’t have the sa title of "Calamity" as his sister, and she pondered why that was.
Arashi explained that it was a title that anyone could get as long as they destroyed an entire city by themselves, and while she had acquired hers a long ti ago, Frost never had to go to such an extent.
