Right after Nessa killed the pink goblin shaman king, she didn’t turn back into her half-demon form and glanced at with a threatening gaze that made raise my guard out of pure instinct.

"Nessa...?" I asked again, trying to calm her down.

My right arm had been impaled and burnt by the goblin shaman, so it was pretty much out of commission for the ti being.

I could have used a healing potion, but I was afraid of opening my void pocket and getting attacked by Nessa.

In the blink of an eye, she appeared right in front of and punched down, aiming at the back of my head.

I was able to get out of the way before the impact, but the force of the attack was enough to knock my gas mask off my face.

"Goddammit, Nessa, co back!" I shouted, using gravity magic to push her to the other side of the destroyed underground throne room.

She struggled to move against the wall for about three seconds before she covered her body with demonic energy and dispelled my magic around her, waving her hand and producing a barrage of black fireballs that shot at like bullets.

"We don’t have ti for this!" I exclaid, using all the MP I had to cast gravity magic all over the throne room, halting Nessa’s movents.

In a flash, I used lightning magic to appear in front of her and punched her in the gut as hard as I could with fire magic fused into my fist.

To be fair, I would have punched her harder if I had been able to use my right hand, but it was the strongest physical attack I could muster at that mont.

Just as my fist landed, I released the gravity magic to bring her back to her normal weight, making her cough blood before forcefully getting pushed into a wall.

Her back bounced from the rock and shattered so of it before I landed on top of her once again, kicking her in the sa spot with a lightning kick that made her demonic energy waver for a second.

"Nessa!" I shouted again, which was dumb, considering I was running out of air to breathe.

She was still struggling from the pain of my attacks, but that brief window where she lost a bit of energy was enough for so of her conscience to return.

Switching her grip from her stomach to her head, Nessa started breathing fast and loud, letting out a groan, apologizing, and then falling asleep as she turned back into her half-demon form.

The cave was still shaking from the fight of the others with the pink goblin soldiers, so I carried Nessa on my back and got out of the throne room, which I felt was about to crumble in a few minutes.

I was holding my breath that whole ti after my gas mask got knocked off, and I was feeling quite dizzy while carrying Nessa out.

By the ti we were walking in the larger area of the cave where most of the goblin soldiers were killed, the rest of our group had finished exterminating them and ca looking for us.

"Ichi, where is your mask!?" lina asked with urgency as soon as she saw with Nessa.

Nevertheless, I couldn’t reply since my body had run entirely out of air, making lose consciousness on the spot.

When I woke up, I found myself lying on a bed inside a small shack with Nessa lying on another bed next to mine.

My right arm was fully healed, and as I inspected the rest of my body, lina walked into the shack with a basket full of fruit.

"Ah, good. You are awake!" she said, sitting down on the bed with .

I lazily stretched my arms while I asked her what happened at the cave, so she gave a brief rundown.

After I passed out with Nessa, our group quickly took us out of the cave and healed our wounds.

I had been sleeping for three whole days, which was a bit shocking as it didn’t feel like I slept for that long.

lina and the others visited the small village that had been razed by the pink goblins, and she looked pretty sad as she told that there wasn’t a single survivor.

Moreover, there wasn’t a single corpse to bury, as all of the people who lived there were eaten by the goblins.

The goblins that we eradicated in End Forest were very different from these guys as they needed to kidnap won in order to reproduce, while the pink goblins ate the people.

lina sent a ssage to Keiko and the king, explaining the situation, so they ended up sending a group of soldiers to the village to confirm the events.

They used the magic quartz that we left at the castle with them to travel there quickly, and Keiko accompanied them.

Apparently, while Keiko was here, she saw Nessa in her half-demon form, so lina had to tell her everything about her and how she wasn’t evil, even though she was a demon.

Luckily, Keiko wasn’t the type to judge others by their race, as she already knew Nessa from the world tournant, and her mind had been made up back then about her being a good person.

"Well, that’s good. But we lost three days of ti..." I muttered, rembering that we were supposed to look for the relic as fast as possible.

lina told that Keiko offered her castle to let Nessa rest, and seeing that we had lost a few days, we decided to take the offer and send her back to the castle in the capital.

We asked Gina and Carli to stay with her, leaving lina, Vespera, Yoru, and to look for the relic.

After leaving the unconscious Nessa inside a nice room, we used the magic quartz to return to our last location, which was a day away from Rose Peak.
