While Nessa kept going further down the pink goblins’ cave, I was trying to create a pseudo-gas mask to help us resist the toxic fus from the pink leaves.

I made the fra of the mask using earth magic, but that obviously wasn’t enough.

I knew that gas masks had filters made with fiber, but it’s not like I knew the entire science behind them, so I had to think less about the scientific thod and more about a magical solution.

’The filters are placed there so that the toxic particles don’t go through... Could I use air magic for sothing similar?’ I pondered.

I used a finger to produce a small orb of compressed air, tweaking the spell so that the orb would reject anything that ca in contact with it except for fresh, clean air.

Then, I used an enchantnt to have the orb stick to the inside of the mask, right in the center where my nose and mouth went.

After putting it on, I asked Vespera to make a few ear loops with her weaving skills to keep the masks from falling off our faces.

We were lucky that the things we touched turned invisible with us, or it would have been a bit awkward if the goblins found us deep inside their territory.

I made the sa mask for everyone in the group, and when I was casting the enchantnt on the last one, a couple of goblins were passing by and said that they "slled magic nearby."

Again, we were lucky that the spells used very little MP, or they would have easily tracked our scent.

The masks made it easier to breathe, allowing us to keep moving further down the cave and catch up with Nessa, who was brought to the lowest level in the cave.

At the back, there was a large throne made of rocks that looked pretty rustic and shabby, so I could tell that it was goblin-made.

A lone pink goblin was sitting down on the stone throne. His body was larger than the others in the mine, and he even wore a hooded cloak that covered his face.

He didn’t look as tall as the goblin king I fought years back in End Town, but the energy that emanated from him was at least ten tis stronger.

’What the hell? This thing has no rank!?’ I thought with a bit of shock.

Everyone I knew who hunted monsters told that they couldn’t go above rank S, so even if so S-ranked monsters were hundreds of tis stronger than others, they still counted as S-ranked.

However, this was the first ti that my information window displayed an interrogation mark. Moreover, it said that it could cast "sage-level" magic.

On the bright side, we were able to figure out the reason for all the pink leaf stock they had in the cave, as it literally made him permanently stronger.

He wasn’t getting a slight boost for a short ti. This monster was getting a permanent boost to his powers for every minute that he hung out inside the cave.

The rest of the other pink goblins were A-ranked, which was extrely powerful for a simple goblin. Still, that wasn’t as shocking for as seeing a monster without a rank.

"The Lady of the Pink has finally co to visit us..." the shaman goblin muttered with a raspy and unnatural voice.

"You were expecting ?" Nessa asked.

"I have been prepared to et our creator for a long ti..." replied the shaman.

’Their creator?’ I pondered.

"Umm, ?" Nessa asked again, utterly confused.

The goblin shaman explained that he had followed her orders and captured the mine after eating all of the humans who were inside.

Our entire group was shocked at the words of the monster, even Nessa, who very clearly had no recollection of even seeing these goblins before.

"Nessa, keep it together. Ask what else are they doing..." I whispered in her ear with sound magic.

*ahem* "Wh-what else?" she asked, feeling conflicted between her feelings and her acting.

The shaman kept elaborating and said that, just as she ordered, they had been preparing for the war inside the cave, inhaling the fus of the pink leaves to increase their strength.

’The war?’

"Most of the humans around this region moved further away. Food is now harder to get..." said the shaman.

"Lady, is the war soon?" he asked.

’Is he talking about the war I saw in the future vision that Astra showed ? How would he know about that?’ I thought.

"Okay, enough. Why are you calling Lady?" Nessa asked with an annoyed tone.

The shaman looked confused montarily, explaining that her demonic energy was the sa that oozed from his blood orb, so she must have been their creator.

Nessa widened her eyes with shock, muttering to herself that she had no recollection of ever doing such a thing.

While in her silent state, a couple of goblins walked by with one of the bloody crates we saw outside the entrance and placed it next to the shaman.

When the monster opened the crate, our stomachs revolted as we spotted the human body parts that were inside—a combination of arms, legs, hands, and fingers.

The shaman took a severed arm from the crate to munch on it, showing his sharp teeth as his mouth opened wide enough to fit an entire human head in it.

It was one of the most unsettling monsters I had seen in terms of power and looks, and my anger was starting to take over before I noticed Nessa.

Her demonic energy was rising slowly as she tried to hold back her own feelings, so it was my mont to act quickly before she snapped.

I was still invisible, so I thought that if I caught the shaman by surprise and killed him with one attack, he wouldn’t be able to regenerate,

’I need to be quick. Nessa is about to destroy this entire cave...’
