As I was lying on the ground with Vyrazul standing before , I couldn’t use magic to protect myself after she cursed , and honestly, the wounds were hurting pretty bad.

The devil had taken the form of my past wife, and even though I knew it wasn’t real, my body simply wouldn’t move to attack her.

’Goddamit, stand up!’ I shouted inside my head.

"Dying by the hands of your wife. Very poetic, isn’t it!?" Vyrazul shouted.

Nessa told that the devil could take any appearance that the other person thought about the most, so even if she had never seen the old version of lina, she was still able to get that information from my brain.

I wasn’t giving up and kept trying to move before I could get executed by Vyrazul. Suddenly, we heard lightning crackling, and an intense torrent of MP rose from where lina had crashed.

The devil turned her face to check out the commotion, but as soon as she did, lina appeared and stamped both of her feet against her face, giving her an electrifying kick that pushed her against the walls of the palace.

"Get the hell away from my husband..." lina muttered.

At that mont, I was able to fully detail her transformation.

’She awakened!’ I thought.

lina’s hair looked frizzy from the electric currents that surrounded her body. Her eyes were shining even more blue than ever before, and the ground shook slightly around her any ti she took a step.

"I rember..." lina said.

She gazed at and gave a gentle smile before opening her void pocket and dropping a holy panacea right next to , turning her head back at the location where Vyrazul crashed with sharp eyes.

’Did she say she rembers? Does she an...?’ I pondered.

Before I could finish my thoughts, the devil rose from the debris, still looking like lina’s old version, although half of her face had been burnt out by the lightning kick.

With blood dripping down her face, the devil pointed her finger at her cheek and healed herself, followed by an arc of shadow that was aid at lina.

Nonetheless, lina’s awakening was making her move as fast as lightning, and before it could hit her, she appeared right in front of Vyrazul once again and gave her a set of two quick kicks—one on the ribs and one on the face that sent her flying to another wall.

lina used to practice kickboxing in our past life, and she was damn good at it. I had seen her kick a few people here, but now, she looked like she knew what she was doing.

The devil healed herself once more and launched herself at lina with rage clearly plastered on her face. Still, lina was on a whole other level than her at that mont and calmly pointed her finger at Vyrazul.

"That’s just too slow..." lina muttered, generating a massive lightning attack from the tip of her fingers that produced dozens of branching lightning bolts, destroying everything around her, including one of Vyrazul’s arms.

As the dust settled, Vyrazul stood up, still looking like lina’s old version, although completely beat up and missing an arm. Nonetheless, her demonic energy had risen exponentially.

"Enough!" the devil shouted.

"I suppose I have no choice..." she continued, making her body look like a deford and strange being as she shifted her appearance, showing her true form.

She was much taller than before, with dark gray skin, black hair, and shiny red eyes that were pretty unsettling to look at.

The dark aura that emanated from her body was enough to freeze in fear anyone that was nearby, but lina didn’t even flinch or react at her transformation.

I drank the holy panacea that she dropped, relishing that mont as nobody was coming after , and started to regain my magic to support her.

Still, it seed like the curse was a bit stronger than last ti, and it was taking a bit longer for all of my MP to get back to normal.

Suddenly, black lightning started to appear around Vyrazul’s body before she rushed towards lina, matching her lightning-speed attacks.

lina was using her mithril estoc, which wasn’t her best option when in an awakened state, so I grabbed my adamantite short-sword and used all of my strength to throw it high in the air.

Right after deflecting one of the devil’s claw attacks, lina turned her head, spotted the sword, and appeared right next to it before snatching it mid-air.

As soon as she grabbed the handle, the adamantite caught lina’s lightning magic and turned into a shiny sword that had so much concentrated electrical energy that the air seed to vibrate around it.

The blade seed slightly longer than in its normal state, and after getting on guard, lina rushed head-first at Vyrazul, slicing down and taking one of her arms along with the roof of one of the palace’s halls.

Simultaneously, the devil clenched her fist and generated hundreds of shadowy daggers that appeared in the air before raining down on lina. Nonetheless, the princess moved quickly around and avoided getting hit by the cursed blades.

Still, the attack was enough of a distraction for Vyrazul to regenerate her missing arm, following her dagger-rain with another attack that made her nails grow, making them look like blades themselves.

’That sword must be from Phelena’s armory...’ I thought.

I had only seen the Lunar Sword and the Flaming Bow when I awakened, so it was my first ti seeing the weapon for lightning awakening.

lina’s attacks were so quick that it almost looked like she wasn’t moving, but all of Vyrazul’s strikes were being deflected nonetheless.

At one point, lina waved her sword and shot an arc of lightning directed at Vyrazul, which she managed to dodge.

However, this was part of the princess’ plan as she appeared right next to the devil and sliced again, striking her torso vertically and sending her flying through the palace’s roof into the throne room.

"I’m ending this..." lina muttered, staring down with indifference at the devil from the hole in the ceiling.
