After solving the immigration problem with the two families, they were allowed inside the country.

Once we crossed the border walls, there was a small settlent with an inn where everyone stayed the night as it was already quite late.

The following day, we spotted a "carriage service" that took people from the settlent to other towns, and the immigrants we helped boarded the cart, leading them to the capital.

A large chunk of the eastern side of Balinesia was a swamp area, and the Mages Tower was located sowhere between the swamp and a place they called the "Blue Field."

The capital was on a southern peninsula, so it wasn’t on our path, which was kind of disappointing since I wanted to see it.

We had ten days before the assembly started, so we took our ti flying there without rushing and found a curious little town floating on a massive lake.

Stilt houses that seemingly floated above the water with long wooden bridges that connected all of the buildings together into one structure.

The town was called "Lakewake," and when we descended to get a better look, we caught the attention of a man who was fishing from one of the bridges.

"Eh, flying people!? You must be sages!" the man exclaid as he ran toward us quickly.

"Uhh, hey. We were going to the Mages Tower but decided to stop here for a bit if that’s okay..." I said.

"Heh, yes, of course! Our town is known for being a good place to relax. Sage Astra cos here all the ti!" the man said.

I knew about the na Astra from Devon. She was supposed to be the headmaster sage at the Mages’ Tower, but I wasn’t expecting to hear her na from a random villager.

The fisherman took us to the inn of their town, which was pretty aweso as the floor was made of a crystal that allowed us to look down at the lake under us.

After my whole group had taken a dip in the lake and gone to our rooms to rest, I saw Nessa and lina talking on one of the piers.

"Ichi!" lina exclaid while waving at to co to them.

"Nessa has sothing to say..." she continued.

The pink-haired girl had been thinking all this ti about the mont when Drakzen took all of the blood from Salamandra’s corpse.

"Does he get so sort of power-up if her sucks the blood of Accursed Beasts?" I asked as that was my main suspicion.

"No, it’s nothing like that..." Nessa said.

She explained that when all of the devils first arrived in the world, she rembered Drakzen saying sothing about looking for a special relic to help them bring their king along with them.

I knew a little bit about that since Jackson told about it the first ti he confessed he was a devil. He said that the traveling devil was supposed to look for relics that could "help their cause," while the others were tasked with controlling specific areas.

Nessa told us that she was supposed to go to Vista, but after she rebelled, she obviously didn’t follow through with the plan.

Still, the point of the talk was that the relic Drakzen had was crucial for bringing their demon king into our world.

"So, it’s like a summoning ritual?" I asked.

"Mhmm, sothing like that..." Nessa replied.

However, she expressed the fact that the ritual wasn’t to bring a single devil but the entirety of their king’s army.

Honestly, it was a big problem that we had in our hands. Drakzen was the hardest devil to track since he just road around the world.

We couldn’t waste ti hunting a single devil while the others, whom we knew their locations, kept doing what they wanted.

"Next ti I see Drakzen, I won’t let him escape again..." I said with frustration.

I felt it was sowhat my fault that Drakzen had managed to get this far. I had seen him three tis already, and he had not used his full strength in any of those encounters.

"If he does bring his demon army..." lina muttered.

"Yeah, we might have to talk about this in the assembly..." I continued her sentence.

As long as Drakzen was alive, the best we could do was warn every single nation about his plan and take preventive asures.

There was also the "secret weapon" in Durinhold, the dwarven kingdom, which we still didn’t know exactly what its purpose was.

We knew that it was built to fight devils over a thousand years ago, but we didn’t know much about it apart from the notes that Kyoko wrote down in one of her journals.

"I think we should take a look at that supposed secret weapon. I don’t know why, but I feel like it’s important..." I said to lina and Nessa.

They both agreed with and after we spent a little more ti hanging out in the pier, we returned to our rooms to rest.

The following day, we left Lakewake early in the morning and kept traveling east toward the Mages Tower.

It took us a single day to finally see the massive structure in the distance, towering above absolutely everything around it.

When we arrived, we descended to the ground and were t by a young man wearing robes and what seed to be a shiny book in his hands.

"Welco to the Mages Tower. Please state the purpose for your visit," the man said with a smile, not caring a single bit about the way we arrived.

Most people were surprised whenever they saw us flying, but the mage at the entrance was probably used to seeing stuff like that.

"Umm, we are here for the Sage’s Assembly..." I replied.

"Ah, yes! You must be young Sage Ichiro. Oh, and she must be young Sage lina!" the man said with enthusiasm.

Opening his shiny book, which had different enchantnts on it as I could feel the MP oozing from it, he checked our nas, and the doors to the tower opened by themselves.

There were still a few days for the assembly to start, so they gave us all rooms high up in the tower to stay in the anti.
