It was the second day of the Combat World Tournant, and the arena was once again full of spectators.

Nessa, the devil, was doing her best to keep her demonic energy hidden while fighting using only her physical strength.

After she won her first match for the day, the spectators started to bet more on her, calling her the "Pink Fist," which I thought was pretty funny.

When it ca to my students, all ten of them had made it to the second round, but that also ant that if they kept winning, they would have to face each other eventually.

Headmaster Lang told that when he drew the nas for the fighters, he tried to make it so that people from the sa academy wouldn’t face each other until later in the tournant.

Marco, who was part of our team and one of Lucas’ best friends, lost his match against Larry, one of our third-year students.

Nonetheless, losing against people from their own team wasn’t as demoralizing as losing to a random fighter, so Marco took his loss with grace.

A few more fights later, and the turn for the crown prince of Kyotora arrived.

I noticed that when the prince stepped onto the arena, the people cheered reluctantly, almost as if they were forced to do it, so I used sound magic to listen to them closer.

"Just clap quick. We don’t want soone to call us out..." a man whispered to his friend.

’Are people really going to get scolded for not clapping?’ I pondered.

I looked up at the royal booth where the king and queen were sitting with a smile on their faces, seeing their favorite tyrant son standing in the center of the arena.

Unfortunately, his opponent was so random fighter who ended up getting thrown out of bounds, making the prince rise to the next round.

However, being a referee had its perks since I could see who he would fight next, and I couldn’t hold my excitent seeing it was his sister, especially after realizing that I would be the one judging it.

As I was walking through the tunnels of the arena to get ready for my referee shift, I saw Yuki getting prepared for her next match.

The combatants didn’t know who their opponent would be until they were called to the arena, so Yuki looked way more relaxed than I expected.

I knew for a fact that Yuki was stronger than her brother. I an, I was the one training her, so I had a pretty good idea of what her strength level was.

However, it was obvious that she couldn’t face her brother with the sa determination as the other fighters.

It probably had to do with the way her family treated her. Even if she was stronger than all of them, they always made her feel like she was less important.

Yuki had a strong character, so if soone randomly ca around and tried to put her down the sa way her family did, she would put a stop to it imdiately.

Still, when it was her own family treating her like that throughout all her life, it made sense why it got to her.

"Clear your mind for the next fight, alright?" I said to her as I passed by her entrance to the arena.

Yuki didn’t respond to , but I knew that she heard , so I kept walking until I reached the arena and waited for the host to call out the nas of the combatants.

"Next up, a fight that so of you have probably been waiting for... The third Princess, Yuki Kyotora, Vs. the Crown Prince, Takeo Kyotora!" the host exclaid.

Interestingly enough, that man wasn’t using any type of sound magic, but his voice was as loud as if he was using a gaphone.

Still, I didn’t have ti to get distracted by the host and looked up at the royal booth to see the faces of the king and queen with indignant expressions.

After Takeo and Yuki got up on the platform, I could see the princess was nervous as a small drop of sweat ca down her temple while her brother smiled wickedly.

"I didn’t think I would see you here. Did you pay off your last opponents?" Takeo said to his sister.

However, Yuki didn’t reply and bit her bottom lips with anger, making use sound magic to send a whisper to her ear.

"Clear your mind..." I said, making her perk up and slap her face gently as if she were shaking off her thoughts.

Takeo laughed after seeing his sister, saying that it was about ti for her to lose her mind.

Still, Yuki didn’t reply, and instead of biting her lips with anger, she stayed calm as if she wasn’t even listening to her brother.

"Begin!" I shouted.

Without waiting a second, Takeo launched himself toward his sister with his fist raised. Even though he had a katana on his waist, he thought he wouldn’t need it against Yuki.

Before he could even get close to her, his own shadow popped out of the ground and ensnared his legs, allowing Yuki to quickly approach him and punch him in the gut, knocking the wind out of him.

"Fire, burn!" Takeo shouted, producing flas around him that made Yuki step back to avoid them.

Breaking off from the shadow’s grasp, Takeo started a quick succession of attacks against Yuki. Nevertheless, she avoided them while fusing her body with wind magic to propel her movents.

The black-haired princess was "in the zone." Her eyes were determined and focused, and her movents were quick and sharp.

With desperation starting to overco his body, Takeo pulled out his katana in an attempt to hurt his sister badly.

As he swung the blade around, Yuki kept skillfully moving around, avoiding its edge.

"You keep dodging, and dodging, and dodging! This is all you have been, and this is all you will ever be: a worthless princess beneath !" Takeo exclaid in between his flurry of attacks.

His taunts ended up breaking Yuki’s concentration for a brief mont, allowing Takeo to graze her arm with his blade.

As her arm bled from the cut, Takeo began laughing maniacally again as Yuki’s expression turned somber, and the atmosphere got heavier around the arena.

"It’s over, brother..." she muttered, raising her palm and clasping her hand.

Right as she did, giant shadows ca up from the ground and trapped Takeo, making him look like a giant burrito made of shadows with only his feet and head out in the open.

With one final quick step forward and a fist charged with powerful shadow magic, Yuki punched her brother in the face and sent him flying out of bounds into a wall, knocking out a few teeth in the process.

The spectators were silent for a mont, suddenly breaking into a massive roar for Yuki.

"The winner is the third Princess, Yuki Kyotora!"
