The following day, after training with the students at the practice area of the Ryuken Arena, lina and I decided to walk around the city for a bit.
There were still three days for the tournant to start since we had to wait for the other participants to get to Kyotora, but that was on us after we arrived faster than we should have.
The students were still training at the practice area with the battle-maids and Vespera, and while Yoru was with us inside my shadow, it felt more like a date with just lina and I walking around the city.
Seeing that we were sowhat standing out from the crowd with our outfits, we went to a clothing shop and got ourselves a kimono set to match the people around us.
Still, it didn’t matter how many tis I had seen lina. She always just looked beautiful in anything she wore.
We ate snacks from a bunch of different food stalls and took a peek at so of the weapons and trinkets in the shops until we ca across an area called the "Red Street."
’Ah, this must be the place for those who do the "world’s oldest profession"...’ I thought.
Honestly, for a street that was centered on prostitution, it looked pretty clean and organized. However, as we were walking across, a woman was suddenly thrown out of one of the establishnts right in front of us.
Noticing that the lady had her garnts a bit shredded, lina quickly approached the woman and placed her poncho around her to cover her.
The woman had a few cuts and bruises on her face, and her back had long, bloody wounds, so I took a healing potion and gave it to lina to apply to the lady.
"What happened?" lina asked softly to the woman.
"P-prince Takeo disliked ... It’s fine. This is my punishnt for my arrogance..." she replied, making lina widen her eyes with anger.
Still, she wasn’t the only one feeling like that, and before the woman could speak more, I opened the doors to the establishnt with force, startling everyone inside.
A big, burly man ca up to , asking if I had any business with the people inside. Nevertheless, I didn’t feel like talking to a pawn, so I jumped and kicked him in the face, knocking him to the side of the room.
A couple of security guards took out their katanas, but before they could move a muscle, I used lightning magic to move closer to them and knocked them out in an instant with a discharge of electricity.
The manager fell on his rear with fear in his eyes, asking what I wanted from them.
"Where is the prince?" I asked coldly.
The man, now even more scared for his fate, pointed at the back without saying anything as if wanting to keep his words a secret. Still, I wasn’t done talking to him.
"Who beat that woman?" I asked again, keeping my cold deanor.
The won who were standing around recoiled in fear against the walls as the manager started sweating profusely, but I knew that fear was the only way to get real answers from people.
As much as I didn’t like playing the villain, sotis it was necessary.
"Th-the prince found her distasteful, so at his request, we gave her ten lashes and threw her out..." the man replied, making fu with anger.
From what I understood, the prince had arrived at the establishnt looking angry and frustrated, then hand-picked a group of won to "service" him.
Apparently, the woman said sothing that the prince found offensive, and after beating her up, he asked the guards to give her ten more lashes with a whip before throwing her out to the stress, barely clothed.
’This is the crown prince of Kyotora? This is going to be a serious problem...’ I thought, furiously walking to the back room.
Sure, the guy was an adult, and he could definitely go and get his "service" if he wanted to, but to treat his own people like that was the work of a tyrant weirdo.
’Also, lashing them with a whip? Is that even legal?’ I pondered as I stood before the back door and opened it abruptly.
Inside, I found Takeo with his shirt off, lying in bed with six won around him and a cocky smile on his face.
"Out..." I said with a commanding tone, mixing my voice with sound magic to make it reverberate inside the room.
Right on cue, the six ladies quickly stood up and left the room, nervously walking past as they needed to get to the exit.
"What the hell are you doing here!?" Takeo exclaid, his angry vein popping out of his temple.
"Maybe I should be the one asking you that..." I muttered, quickly appearing beside his bed and pulling the sheets with force, making him spin in the air as he fell out of the fra into the floor.
"Is this what the crown prince of Kyotora does before a tournant? Beat up won and humiliate them?" I asked, looking down at the prince, who sat on the floor with a pathetic expression.
"I’m the crown prince! All these people are my subordinates, so of course I can do with them whatever I want!" he shouted, still on the floor.
Honestly, the only thing that was saving Takeo from getting a beating that would leave him unrecognizable was his title.
I may not have a problem with having Takeo as my enemy, but I was also technically a representative of Sephyr, so I couldn’t be that impulsive and beat the prince of another nation.
Either way, I would be reporting everything we saw to the king and queen of Sephyr, along with Headmaster Devon, thinking that they could pressure the king into reconsidering his successor.
"If you don’t want to get disqualified from the tournant, I suggest you get the hell out of here and go train. I will not repeat myself, you understand?" I muttered, allowing the prince to stand up from the ground.
"You have one more strike..." I continued before the prince left the establishnt, letting him know that if he tried to do anything stupid again, I wouldn’t be holding back.
When he left the building, he was t by lina’s vicious gaze, who stared at Takeo with disdain and disgust as she held the unconscious woman in her arms.
Still, the prince couldn’t say anything with all those prying eyes on him, and after two guards gathered around him, he walked back to the Ryuken Arena, as I told him to.
